Beyond light was ok not as good as forsaken but dammnit bungie your showing your ass now after activision left. Content has been mediocre and you keep short changing the community. No new enemy types no new crucible maps 1 new strike which wasnt that great. Cmon you have the potential to put out quality content but really have not done that since forsaken i have hope but if you cant nail it for witchqueen i dont think you can capture that greatness anymore.

14 RepliesEdited by thermal contact: 7/21/2021 2:43:18 PMI'm sorry, but this is just insane. Since beyond light we've seen the following added to the game: -A new customizable subclass that's been updated every season so far with new abilities -2 raids -Two exotic weapon quests -3 new seasonal activities that weren't removed from the game at the end of the season -3 season pass exotics -New legendary weapons -3 new exotic armor pieces for each class -New legendary armor sets for each class -Multiple exotic catalysts, including introducing new ways to get "vaulted" catalysts -An amazing story that's contained in the game -They listened to the community about Stasis in Crucible -They listened to the community about weapon balancing in Crucible -The return of Nightfall weapons -A new vendor reputation system - New weapon perks I'm sure I missed some, and we still have one season of Beyond Light left. So if you want to quit the game because "Bungie's not doing enough", then go ahead. But we'll all know you're a damn liar.

2 RepliesLet's be real - beyond light sucked and so did shadowkeep but not as hard as bl. Forsaken was the best dlc we ever got. Content quality and quantity wise took a huge fall when Activision bailed. Look at the amount of reused D1 stuff since then - vog, moon, taniks several times, sepiks prime, omnigul, shadow price/hung jury/swarm/palendrome/etc Witch queen will likely be just as lacking and lightfall as well - bungie aren't competent enough to put out a solid dlc, Luke Smith has even said on record we will never have a dlc like forsaken again, however bungie has the gall to put out roughly 1/3rd the content yet charge the same price that's the real slap

In order for witch queen to be successful it needs to be forsaken or taken king sized. I know what they’ve said thus far. But if it’s anything less, the dlc will just be an added season like beyond light and shadowkeep. It’s basically a mobile game until the game is an actual sized video game. Otherwise just move it to the App Store on iPhones and androids

Witch Queen will be even better, trust me! They will propably vault 10 more pvp maps, bring 2 D1 pvp maps back in exchange and give us 1 New strike on the new loaction and 1 D1 strike. Thats the sad reality we will probably have as its going atm.
dammnit bungie your showing your ass now after activision left.
Speaking of Activision, do you remember what happened next after Activision left? There was a celebration! Yes, it was huge, champaign flowing, and there was a big noise, major announcement, everyone celebrating! Even the community was buzzing with eagerness and expectations were so high up they think D2 will become a badass all of a sudden! Guess what happened next? Shallowkeep and Beyond Lite showed up! Two years of disappointment. The rest is history! 😆Ahahahahaha!

1 ReplyThe only way for density to get better at this point is for Bungie's new IPS to fail.
-
1 ReplyFacts, for the new dlc I want 2 new subclasses , light classes reworked in the way stasis is , 4 strikes , 1 dungeon, 1 raid and over 50 new weapons! If anyone thinks that's "expecting too much" do one , Ur paying 40 plus for a dlc , that's a whole game in some bits. So ye I have high wants but if all that is given from the get go u don't have to have content feed to us every week. Although there are the tryhards who finish everything in a day and is a whole different convo.

1 ReplyGlassway is great

18 RepliesWhy do you think they delayed its release?? Geez. I think some of you are just addicted to having things to complain about.

9 RepliesEdited by TheShadow: 7/20/2021 2:03:33 AM
Content has been mediocre
That's because Bungie thinks working on their other projects is more important than this game.
you keep short changing the community
That was to be expected seeing how this game is funding their projects. I mean this game is doing well with all the players that don't care about quality content that they will buy anything no matter how little amount of content or effort is put into whatever content Bungie is putting out. The game is doing so well with the player throwing money at Bungie that they are building another office. So why put effort into a game as they used to when they can keep promoting eververse and keep selling the copy and pates content called seasons?

10 RepliesIt should really be painfully obvious to everyone by now that Bungie is treating Destiny as a cash cow. Putting in minimal effort and cashing in as much as they can and using that cash to fund thier other IP they already confirmed they're working on. It was reported Bungie made $300 million just from Eververse in one year. Does it feel like the content being put into the game is in any way reflective of that type revenue? I have no problem with profits going to find other IP - that's how developers work but it does not at all feel like even a small proportion of that profit is being put back into Destiny. Events - reskinned. Only substantive changes are the ones that make you get your wallet out. Seasons - Copy and paste. Some story beats here and there but overall just a timegated carrot to try to get players to log on every week. New content - bare boned and knowingly broken. They knew statsis would need tuned several times yet released it the way it was. Lack of new content and core content. Paid content taken out - Remeber how they said it was too difficult to prevent bugs with all the content so they took loads of paid content away? Does it feel to anyone like there's less bugs since? The game is just a cash machine for them right now and it works - there's obviously enough people throwing money at the screen that Bungie don't need to care about making engaging content.

1 ReplyWe heard you didn’t want one crucible map or strike with The Witch Queen. Due to popular demand we have cancelled all future plans to introduce new maps and strikes. Thank you for your feedback. Be sure to check out EverVerse for Tess’ latest offerings! ~Bungie

This is the first time since D1 to now that I'm not interested in the next content drop. It's all been reskin of reskins for to long.
-
Here is a problem, the community is divided into 3 parts, the fans, those who are fed up and the cheats, as long as they continue to enter money from any of the 3 groups they will not change anything and we will only see a large amount of recycled content , the new content being somewhat residual
-
4 RepliesWhy tho? It wasn’t that bad
-
But it will. Bungie hates work
-
Witch queen will have 1 thicc worm and 0 thicc crucible maps
-
It shouldn't. But if you fo back and read the directors cut from last year the warning was there. Many did not pay attention. It will likely be more of the same with a few crumbs added in. Ya know, if the community wouldn't clamor for un-needed things like vog maybe we could have more actual new stuff.
-
How is this so downvoted?
-
No strikes and no crucible map noted

48 RepliesJesus, they haven't announced ANYTHING for Witch Queen besides a release date and a VERY vague idea of what it MIGHT be about, and people are ALREADY starting to complain about what it PROBABLY WON'T BE? "Witch Queen should not only have 1 strike and no Crucible maps like Beyond Light did" Do you have any REAL reason to think it will?? And Beyond Light added in a new story, a new subclass, a new subclass SYSTEM, multiple activity types, a strike, and in a rare moment of good decision making on Bungie's part, some IN-GAME lore. Not as much as they should have, but they put SOME lore in-game for us to witness in real time, and that's a big step forward for them. Was Beyond Light good? Objectively, not really, no. But it paved the way for so much better. And Shadowkeep sucked but look at the other DLCs they've put out. Forsaken was fantastic. King's Fall was incredible. Rise of Iron, House of Wolves? All of these were so, so good. Two bad DLCs doesn't make a pattern. Shut the hell up and wait until we have REASON to be upset over Witch Queen before you start getting upset about Witch Queen.

22 RepliesOr let’s just wait till it comes out before passing judgement 🙄🤷🏼♂️

1 ReplyWitch Queen will be 50 euros with no year pass expansion with around the same size of BL. They have been developing this expansion in 2020 while working at home. So don’t expect quality from that.

1 ReplyBungie with destiny has been mediocre at best since taken king, idk why people hail it as amazing when. TK was part of base d1 anyways and after that it was pretty much re skin central, d2 forsaken honestly was a jumbled mess that its true contribution was 2 new destinations 1 being completely irrelevant as soon as the 2nd one was unlocked and getting the weapon system back to what it should've been to begin with. With seasons I feel for the devs actually working make a new activity every 3-4 months I don't envy their position but the higher ups there's a lot to say about them. That being said, I'm Here to see this ship sink than any true expectation of greatness as outside of the gunplay its beyond unengaging

3 RepliesEdited by MstrofPuppts: 7/20/2021 1:00:23 AMHonestly you're expecting alot. The fact here is Bungo is going to produce minimal "new" content while relying on the DCV to bring back D1 stuff all for $60+ season pass. How about hard pass. Or in my case Xbox game pass. As long as Destiny gets updated there I see no obligation to pay anymore money for dlc.
