I do enjoy PvP Even against stasis but I main pve in all honesty but have played this game for years and watched it always cater to the pvp streamers or trials sweats but theres one thing they've never actually listened too and that's from both sides which is more an bigger PvP maps I believe if maps were bigger and I mean alot bigger their would be no need for as many nerfs plus people can find a different kind of play styles and use some weapons which barley get used in pvp .an truth is we need new maps for balance because veteran players know all the cheese spots which have barley never changed since launch

PvP is so bad it needs a complete overhaul all the maps seem to small for 6v6 the D1s feel okay but some of them aren’t as good now because we move a lot faster in D2

2 RepliesI want the EDZ floating islands as a crucible map.

2 RepliesStop asking garbage pvp players to try and get pvp kills with a feather like the new gun. You might aswell ask us to get wins in trials, its pathetic

Bigger maps means side arms and smgs are useless right now only scouts suffer from map sizes. They could be fixed with an adjustment to zoom levels. Instead of 20+ zoom drop it to 17 zoom or 16 unless there are scope options. But keep the range. The problem is shotguns on these maps. Increase the body ttk of majority of weapons and drop the range of damage drop off of shot guns and u fix 90% of the weapon balance issues in destiny.

1 ReplyI feel like you are the type of person to rant about stasis and ask for nerfs but shit on Bungie for something else when they do there job.

Shotguns are on the chopping block as are GL’s.
-
I bet in about 2 weeks, people will complain that stasis needs a buff.
-
Well, too be fair, would you rather a viaritey of pain and unbalanced shinanigans or a game that can be considered playable and has less viaritey?
-
The stasis nerfs were justified. They were just too strong. I agree we need more maps of size. There should be incentive to swap weapon loadouts as maps rotate. There is no reason you should be able to run a hand cannon and shotgun on every single map. You keep the game from getting stale by giving players reason to adapt. New maps every year of varying sizes.

1 Replyomg we need more nerfs ( shootgun ) is at moment a katastrohpe onehit weapon this need a Hard nerf !!
-
LoL but “PvP Streamers” are calling for bigger maps. So now what? Nerfs come from usage statistics and Data. Not from streamers. Remove that tin foil hat you’re wearing.

Big TDM

5 RepliesBigger maps won’t do jack if they can’t properly balance stuff. Bigger maps in this sandbox just means more snipers and DMT all the time.
-
5 RepliesPeople will literally never be happy, getting bigger maps = Snipers/Scouts getting over used and people will complain about them
-
1 ReplyEdited by SteveOfSteves: 6/3/2021 5:57:51 AMIt doesn’t matter if Bungie makes the maps bigger or if they nerf some abilities. Some people will always complain about anything that kills them.
-
2 RepliesThis doesn’t really work. If they did add more maps, it would be maybe one or two per year. Meaning all the smaller maps would remain in the game. So even if making the maps bigger did actually fix the problems, the majority of games would still be on the smaller maps, and thus the problems would still encompass most of pvp.

2 RepliesEdited by Caxy Creations: 6/3/2021 4:26:21 AM"Don't fix your game, bungie! Leave OP things as OP! Leave underpowered things underpowered! Let the bugs run rampant! I WANT PVP MAPS, SCREW ANY SEMBLANCE OF BALANCE!" That's you.

2 RepliesOr reduce the players. 5vs5. Maybe they will stop crying for stasis nerfs, when there are less players with ability spam

Something I've always noticed as well. There are almost no PvP maps in which taking up a marksman or sniper position is viable. Its all small corridors and well-covered medium lots. You can practically run across a whole map safely just by hopping between the ample amount of cover you get. There is absolutely no incentive to risk going into the open or to keep an eye on the open areas. Maybe the best comparison I can make is Blood Gulch from Halo CE: Its a big hilly arena with caves and walkways littering the sides. Those that want to take a direct approach can run down the middle to the enemy base with a vehicle or special weapon, but risk getting picked off in the process. Those that want to play safer or more CQC can take the side routes; but the routes don't perfectly connect so there is still some exposure risk involved. Its a great map that allows players to choose how they want to play and get naturally rewarded or countered accordingly. So why can't Bungie make maps like that again?

Edited by max: 6/3/2021 1:38:05 AMdcv is trash idea, it's hurting pve, it's killing pvp, and the "give your hard drive more room" excuse is the most horrible joke in the industry, you'll get your larger map in year 5, not when they design a new map, but when they reissue and resell the ones they put into dcv in a new expansion

1 ReplyThey based D2 PvP on 4v4 maps. People complained and they made PvP 6v6 without changing maps. Since they like bringing back all this D1 PvE stuff instead of making new content, why can’t they at least bring back D1 PvP maps based on 6v6?
-
Code monkey at Bungie who has no experience working on PVP maps: "Ok, sure but it aint gonna be pretty."
-
Making an actually balanced sandbox is better than giving maps, besides gotta have the sandbox team working on something for pvp
-
It is not just maps it is a complete balance they need. They have shown that they cannot do this and the skill level for the PVP group is poor. We are all just laughing at them as we know they are just as lost as we are. I hope they are not paying the sandbox group a lot because...damn.

That’s a really long sentence.
