  • Not sure what you're actually asking so I'll just talk about what the deal is. 1. You basically have near 100% backwards compatibility. So virtually all of your PS 4 games will run on PS5. Even with out specific updates, most of those PS4 games will run faster and cleaner due to the greater processing power of the PS55. 2. Many PS4 games are being updated so that they can take advantage of the better hardware. Destiny 2 is basically running what is basically the PC version of the game on PS5. Control got an update so that it is basically very close to the PC version of that game. With a "Performance" mode that runs at 1440p @60 fps...and a Graphics Mode that runs at 1440p @30fps but with ray-tracing with gets super realisitic lighting effects. Ghosts of Tsushima is supposed to also run beautifully, though I haven't tried it yet. 3. IN addition to your PS4 library, there is a catalog of 24 (?) PS4 games that are available free to people who are PS Plus subscribers (online play). This is a mix of Triple A games. I already own most of them....but I got "Days Gone" for free. 4. Then there are the PS5 games. These are mainly AAA games, but you have some indie-type games mixed in. Games like Spider-Man Remastered. Spider-man: Miles Morales. Godfall (save your money). A remake of Demon Souls. I already have pre-orders for Outriders and Mass Effect Legendary edition lined up. In short, this is the BEST array of games that a launch of a new generation of PS console has ever had thanks to backwards compatibility...and the sizeable upgrade in power. Sony was staring down the barrel of Xbox Game Pass, and had to bring backwards compatibility to the table this time around....or lose out to Xbox. I booted up my PS4 version of Anthem...and with NO update from BioWare...the game ran so much faster and smoother than on PS4 pro? That I actually flew my Javelin into the ground by accident because I misjudged the speed of flight on a dive. If you're planning on spending the money now to get one (with Covid, times are tight....I get it) go ahead and make the purchase. Especially if you have the opportunity to get one. There will be enough games to play because your current library of PS4 games will run...and run better...on it. And Sony made sure that---even if you are just coming to the platform for the first time----that you'd have a good selections of games to choose from if you subscribe to PS Plus.
