Don’t understand players thought process on Bungie for ever changing. They don’t plan to, ever. This is it now. Deej jumped the sinking ship and all of the original team is gone, it consists of people who do things differently now. Luke smith stated in the vidoc we will never get a forsaken size expansion again witch to me is the standard of any DLC should be or bigger. The game isn’t F2P, we pay for it. If your a player sticking around in hopes that Bungie will magically turn around after years of failure then think again. If your a player who enjoyed the game currently, with drip fed content and and a horrible season model then hey, play away you obviously don’t mind settling for less. 1 strike....a locations that’s free to all players anyway....0 PvP maps...a handful of weapons, mostly reskins...0 gambit maps....no vendor refresh again....Y1 iron banner armour....come on now. I gave up ages ago, I just enjoy jumping on the forums now and then for a laugh, since BL it’s been pretty funny on here. Assassins creed Valhalla has been great the last few weeks I’ve been paying it. 67 hours in and not even finished the story yet....that’s what I call getting your moneys worth, not a 4/6 hour campaign and some side quests. Cyberpunk in 6 days, looking forward to it. But hey, if you want to hold out for a company to pull themselves together 12 + years of development, Y7 of gameplay and a sequel later, all the best to you!

This game is simply not worth anyone's time anymore. Its just a grind that is utterly pointless because soon, you'll have to start all over again for another fifty levels. Everything is a boring bounty fest most of which are the same bounties we had last season in Crucible, Gambit and Strikes. Even the Stasis subclass unlocks are the same tedious "Go there, Do this" busywork we have all seen before in core activities that have been gutted. With the removal of so many strikes, Gambit maps and Crucible maps its very easy to get burned out on the few that remain. The rewards for core activities are purples that mostly drop below your level, even after getting to 1250 or blues that you then shard for materials that you cash at the Gunsmith for weapons that are way below your level and tokens for armour and weapons with the respective vendor, again for stuff that is below your level. Powerful and Pinnacle rewards are heavily weighted to drop in the slot with the most powerful gear. Bungie have designed a progression system and then, on purpose, used to to lengthen a tedious grind thereby setting against the player. Insidious. Sunsetting has made the Collections tab a joke. 90% of weapons are unusable and entire locations, that people have paid for within the last two years, are pointless as the loot is capped at 1060. The worlds are just Groundhog Day. The enemies spawn in the same place at the same times as they have for years. The vendors are still giving out year 1 gear that no one wants to grind for. We have maps in Gambit and Crucible from worlds that have disappeared according to the lore. But we can still visit them. Checks out. With no adventures each world is just lost sectors and patrols. Tedious. The Cosmodrome is a new area that has nothing much in it. It comes across as lifeless and there just for filler. Shaw Han is as bland a character as I have ever seen in a game. Europa has one fats travel point in a fairly big location. Clearly to pad out that time travelling to and from the same repetitive tasks. We are getting armour and weapons from Factions that are not in the game. The EDZ and Nessus have had their lighting models screwed up to the point that I don't even go to Nessus anymore. And the Gambit and Crucible maps have been affected. No one asked for this. No one. No one EVER complained about the light on these locations. But can we get the massive banner that obstructs your entire screen on Gambit and Crucible rank up, that has been requested to be removed thousands of times ?? .. No, we cant. Eververse gets new stuff though. But Bungie have cut Bright Dust from bounties by 50% to try and force people to spend money on in the Eververse Store. There is no social tools in this game. The farm could have been used as an LFG centre but its gone. You have to go looking on the internet to get a team for something in game ?? .. Its 2020 FFS just let us have optional matchmaking on everything. And then the bugs. Every single season drop has been littered with them but Beyond Light is taking the mickey. Trials is bugged. This weapon is bugged. So is this armour. This is the company that wanted to go it alone but now looks like it is utterly incapable of making a game that is rewarding and engaging. Most days I log in, look at the screen and log off. And then we get to the bit where Bungie, the company that respects your identity if you are of course a minority one, removes my ability to call my characters male. I am a man. I am male .. Why cant I be allowed to call my characters what I chose them to be ?? .. Ridiculous. This game is such a mess. The final indictment of Bungie though, the steaming dog egg on what is a disaster of a game, is that in a week where one of the most anticipated games of recent years, from a developer that is respected by the gaming community is launching we get Iron Banner from Bungie and what is it .. The same Control mode for two guns we have had years before and armour sets that like the guns we have seen before. This says it all about Bungie's laziness and inexplicable decisions in a franchise that now seems to have two aims .. push Evervsere for yet more money from the players they have left and the choices of what happens in game are either whatever means less work for them or doing things no asked for or care about. Its time to move on. Nothing makes sense in this franchise anymore. We just found out this week that Osiris is in a "relationship" with Saint 14. And for some reason we have Devrim "Tea Drinking British Stereotype" still sat in a church where he hasn't shot anything in three years. Meanwhile the Drifter is selling sunset weapons, Ikora Ray is literally standing around with nothing to do and Zavala's contribution to is to say "Hello Guardian" and look away. Still, at least that guy who does the Iron Banner .. who has forgotten you are an Iron Lord will be back shortly to sell us stuff no one wants.

Activision and Bungie had different visions for the game. Activision was also full of greed, Bungie is who they say they are. Neither are perfect. You annoy people on one side, or the other, you can’t please everyone. It’s really hard to scale everything correctly.

Speaking the truth. Did the raid two weeks in a row plus pinnacles on three guardians. Seven pairs of boots on one character and 8 pairs of arms on the other. RNG would be great. This is straight up Bungie manipulation to slow down leveling, statistically speaking. I have been a Destiny vanilla guy, day 1 and I can tell you IMHO there is a modifier attached to each guardian to give more of one piece of gear and a lower chance of a specific piece. Instead of staying true to RPG promises and opening the doors for the players to grind and enjoy the game it is familiar old tricks.

I'm glad people are finally seeing this as well. I stopped playing 3 seasons and don't plan on coming back. I realize there are different tastes for different players but until they get away from this 100 level seasonal "fortnite-like" model I'll just keep playing other games. It's boring, repetitive and isn't fun like it was when I played D1 and early D2. A slogfest isn't what we paid for or were expecting. Activision turned out to be exactly what Bungie needed and now we can all see it.

I honestly regret paying $80 for beyond light, literally what I got is a new broken subclass and copy and paste endless grinding as usual not to mention light level went up again so it might take me 4 or 5 months again to reach max light by playing the same exact content I been playing since launch Bring back Activision!!!!

We started off fighting Eramis by using the darkness against her. Now we are hunting Wrathborn. It just went on a complete other tangent.
