Everyday for about a month now I have been receiving an error code named “baboon” once every hour at worst and once every two hours at best. This error code when in PVE takes me to a black screen and re-spawns me with no ammo. When in PVP I do not get re-spawned I get kicked.
This has become immensely frustrating in general and especially when in playlists like survival, trials, and or raids. My hope is to attempt a first 24 hour completion of the new raid coming out in beyond light . I would require this to be resolved in order for me to pre-order beyond light as this has proved some content impossible. In my research of said error code “baboon” I understand that it relates to packet loss. However I have a 300mb download speed and I do not suffer any network issues on absolutely anything other than Destiny 2. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! The BABOON error code is a known issue affecting Destiny 2 servers and multiple internet service providers. This issue has been identified and a fix will be implemented as soon as possible to ensure that this issue does not become relevant in the future. 2 RepliesEdited by Miss K-FOX: 11/2/2020 12:47:15 AMYou aren't the only one... And this "Issue" is the most baffling one to ever come across my desk. Same time period, about a month. No change to my ISP, no change to the hardware, and here we are. I can have 20 Livestreams running and be in Discord at the same time and my Internet connection will be flawless. Then I go for a single match of Crucible and within a few seconds it is Baboon/Anteater followed by Canary and a report from my Troubleshooter that the "Ethernet Cable is Unplugged". The cable is new, it remains constantly plugged in, and I have a stable 1Gbps connection. UPnP is Enable, Ports are forwarded, Firewall Exceptions are applied, NAT responds as Open, Files are Verified, Windows (and other Drivers) are Updated. By all rights I have followed every single Troubleshooting advice to the letter. There is officially nothing more I can do on my end to resolve this. And considering I am preparing a Deepstone Day 1 team ? This IS A PROBLEM.
