Nah, SBMM was terrible. I guess it could be great for bad players since it’s essentially acted as safe space for them.
-
Until team balancing gets fixed both will be full of lopsided matches.
-
No, no it wasn't
-
CBMM is 100% a better experience.

4 RepliesWhy would I want to play with people with similar skill when we can just stomp casuals all day. I also have a small wiener.

Edited by Dubufu: 10/5/2020 7:56:02 AMI personally like CBMM because it allows people to be more varied in their builds. I remember when I rocked a bow for the longest time with no prior knowledge as to how bad they are in crucible. As a result, my stats were horribly sub-par. Now, if I run a bow in crucible I get like...30 kills easy. Not like it matters, Destiny 2 PVP was never meant to be taken seriously, nor is it a balanced or have any competitive integrity. The crucible is simply a mode for people to find success and then grind PVE once more. If you wanted a true multiplayer experience, play literally anything else.

CBMM all the way for me. I always felt forced to sweat in SBMM, and I'm only like a 1.1. Since CBMM came out I've seen exponentially more variety in loadouts and player skill and it just makes matches more fun to me. The one or two high skill players that dominate using stuff like sturm or the bottom guys getting defeats with blue weapons, it's all pretty fun to me. The primary difference in our opinions is how we handle playing players outside of our skill level. I don't mind fighting someone better than me, or getting stomp'd. I feel that's a pretty good opportunity to learn from their habits, or even notice a few of my own bad ones.

5 RepliesI love the argument that SBMM isn't fun for skilled players because they have to face even matches, like, how toxic is this game's PvP community? these people literally saying they don't want to sweat and be forced to play meta against players at their own skill level then they go into crucible and still sweat and play meta against low tier players. SMH

I find it interesting that majority of my friends are bad at pvp but none of them cry to be forced to win like you guys hmm....
-
i prefer sbmm, but im not top tier. top tier want cbmm. bigger pool of players. i dont care if i play the same sbmm plyrs often.

1 ReplyBungie was not able to implement a good SBMM for years. So they removed SBMM and told us, CBMM ist much better. Result: more Quitter and matches where some guys have an KD 15+. Well done, Bungie.
-
Not for me though
-
∆
SBMM or CBMM. Absolutely no difference what so ever in my opinion. You have good and bad matches.

7 RepliesWith you on this. Stop forcing new players to play sweats and let sweats play sweats as SBMM did. But this current stomp or be stomped meta is horse crap. There is no point in trying to have fun in pvp or try to improve. 2 to 3 out of 10 matches wil actually be playable and the rest is just a stomp fest. Once again bungo proved that they only listen to the streamers and sweats. Just requested my refund as this current MM meta in favour of streamers/sweats is just a chore and how many of the new quests will force players into pvp. The ritual weapon gives you a choice but that is the only one they talk about, what about the rest of the new gear/quests??????? I want to play the game game they way I want to and not be forced to use specific load outs. Thanks to crucibabies almost everything was nerfed into the ground. Fallen guilotine was perfectly fine until e full team was wiped in a titan bubble. Few days later and it is nerfed. The only weapon that was not nerfed becaused of pvp is telesto. Split pvp and pve completetly, pvp used to help in content droughts but currently it is causing playerbase droughts.

23 RepliesWhen we had skill based players kicked off and wanted connection based. Then we had connection based and the community kicked off and wanted skill based. Then we had skill based and everyone went on wanting connection based. Now we have connection based and you want skill based........

My KD in Iron Banner last season was 1.2 or so. Had a blast! Most games were competitive. I'd even come in first in kills every once in a while. My KD in Iron Banner this year is .64. It's a miserable experience. I finish in last place 9 times out of 10. My overall KD since the launch of D2 is approx .85 or so. I know I'm bad at PVP but I do enjoy playing people of my own skill level. SBMM playlists in Crucible was the most fun I've ever had playing D2. I want that fun experience back. :)

Edited by UrTrashBoy: 10/3/2020 2:47:29 PMYou are 100% correct CBMM is awful and we need SBMM back.
-
Way better for me.
-
There needs to be a choice so players can decide what they want to play. There should be a 6v6 sb, comp sb, maybe elim sb, and rumble sb every thing else can work cb. The rumble one is iffy i've seen couple video's were streamers aren't 100% on it being cb.
-
SBMM for bottom 15% only. Everyone else gets CBMM
-
1 ReplyNot for me.

-
It was awful.
-
Not even close lol
-
I don't actually notice much of a difference. I still get my share of kills and wins.

7 RepliesIt would be for the lower 50% because they would play against those of their own skill level. But not for the upper 50% because they would also play against those of their own skill level.
