I have over 2000 hours of playtime so yes a Destiny tragic but most of that playing time has been good fun, yes the game has issues but still a stand out.
But yesterday the grind finally got to me sitting at 1055(1071 with artifact) and doing Gambit for the pinnacle drop I realised is a +2, +1 pinnacle drop regime really a good enough reward? Conclusion no especially as there is likely to be little new until November.
Bungie you need to up the reward return to at least +3,+2 for the pinnacles to speed up leveling so that players can then play what they want to play rather than the grind to stay relevant.
I will not be giving up on the game and yes cannot wait until the expansion drops in November but I hope Bungie has some hidden gems to stop the boredom otherwise I fear we will have a slow drift of players leaving the game.
Anyone else at the same point and or have any ideas what Bungie could do?

2 RepliesI would take a break. You’ve effectively beaten the game, why keep playing if you’re not enjoying it? Come back in November when there will be new content! (Play Planetside 2, we want fresh recruits!)
Sorry, all out of salt.
7 RepliesEdited by illz: 7/25/2020 7:30:39 PMThere is nothing in the game that requires 1060 base light. The delta of 1056 is final for activities that remove artefact power. In addition, we have until November to attain maximum power albeit as mentioned it is 100% unneeded. Finally, i'd be HIGHLY surprised if one had efficiently completed each pinnacle/ power and levelled since the beginning of the season and still not attained 1060 base. At this point it has zero relevance and max power is meaningless. If anything it is too easy, and once there- no benefit is gained. Ironically it seems to be those who do not even play endgame (where power is beneficial) that lust max power the most. Thus they get less rewards. The weekly gambit/ crucible spoonfeeding pinnacles is overly generous. I'd personally make raids/ trials the only way to get max power again in a heart beat. People used to complain that it was unfair that solo players couldnt get max power so bungie literally handed 20+ ways per week and people still complain. They even nerfed pve to pieces so that max power wasnt ever relevant and added an artefact that gave you 21 free levels of power..

Not sure what you need all that light level for. You’ve never done any activity that requires you to even be high light level. You’re more than high enough for the activities you do.
-
So players can play what or how they want to play. Bungie doesn’t want that. Players must play within the parameters they set. If you happen to find an enjoyable way to play, rest assured Deej (he’s the ultimate end game darkness) will find out and quash it. Eyes up guardian, revive me one more time.

I have a different solution. How about we only get a power level increase on the big Fall expansions and not every single season? Why do we even have to be 1000+ in the first place? 3 years of D1 and only 400 light level. Absolutely no reason to go higher except to artificially add content by extending the grind.

And when the new DLC drops you will be getting blues past the current pinnacle cap. This is not a LL grind season. This is a one character, stock up mats season

4 RepliesA beautiful sunny day awaits you An epic walk in the woods A fantastic bar b que on the beach A fishing trip out by the lake Fk destiny its summer 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Yes, the day this company thought changing masterwork cores to the stupid enhancement cores, thinking that was a great idea thanks to their wonderful streamers they put way above the entire player base. Then they added these seasons that they can throw in the trash calling that "content". This game has changed way too much just to bring back some of what the first game was about and because they constantly change things braking what works thinking they can "fix it' has caused more issues than they can handle. Management needs to be fired, period.

It's not even that it's too much it's just pointless once your 1050 power you can do pretty much everything
-
I mean, I haven't played all week and don't plan to; I have a feeling there's a lot of that going around. My clan admin has been posting in our discord for a week looking for people to raid lol. If I knew how to do the raids, I would help but I took a long hiatus when my dad died, so I'm so far behind ... too far behind.
-
4 RepliesThey need to change the system back to destiny 1 if they did that ill invest my time on old raids or harder endgame content hell maybe masterwork a full set of armor for once.
-
the grind isnt worth your time. You will find more satisfaction in learning a new craft on the side for the thousands of hours bungie plans to suck out of you
-
Im over here grinding old ass pinnacle weapons to appease my time bc i have nothing else to do. Which means torture myself in the crucible
-
1 ReplyIt’s just a hamster wheel disguised as a game.
-
I'm struggling to find any reason to play at this point. Yesterday I loaded up the game, went to the tower, and as soon as I arrived at the tower got an error code and booted to orbit. Turned the game off, it's just not worth it to me right now.

+3 drops would be dope but I’ll be fine with +1’s if they stop giving me 4 chest pieces with same LL -_-

9 RepliesYou would think that bungie being a bunch of bigots would be too much.

1 ReplyMakes one wonder if it doesnt matter then why is the bar set to infinity (Relic)? Might as well just stop us all at 1050 for example which is very achievable for just about anyone with only a few hours per day needed? Set the bar for Grand Master Nightfall's based off that power limit and all other activities hence contest rules will put into place? Buuuut, If I'm correct there was a statement made about the relic, giving us something to do or some such definition of its true purpose before Shadowkeep was a thing. It really doesn't matter honestly if power levels matter or not, ego meters are on high alert and folks will push that limit till they puke, so long as it's there, it will be devoured. So if we were limited to 1050 across the board, have to ask yourself, would you be ok with that?

What’s the real point of tiers, especially after reworking some of the milestones? On top of a near infinite grind and the hardest level activity always up high, just for a title
-
I read the tittle as “The Grinch “ and was gonna LOL. To bad it wasn’t it
-
So what’s the plan after you hit 1060? 1075 is the most you’ll get on any activity. Grandmaster caps you at 1075 and prophecy is a 1040 activity. I’m not trying to argue I’m just curious of why reaching 1060 is a big deal, I’m doing pinnacle activities cause I’m bored
-
If your not happy now. Your not gonna be happy in beyond light. "The grind" will still be there... You will always level up quicker playing everything in the game.
-
4 RepliesExactly same situation. Love the game, but given up doing strikes/gambit/pvp pinnacles that are either the wrong piece, or less that your average light level. Pushed into doing old raid content for the triumph, but rewards are worthless. Trials are .... well nuff said about them. Which leaves GoS and dungeons which I cannot do anymore. So no point playing
-
16 RepliesI don’t understand your complaints? Why do you want the game to be easier? It should be hard to grind for levels. Have you never played a true MMO? You have to grind forever! I kinda don’t like people like you that want everything handed to them. Destiny may not be the game for you. Also 2000 hours is a pretty rookie number lol.
-
1 ReplyProgress in this game needs to be completely reworked and power lvl should be removed period. Too bad we are stuck with a company who would rather publish cookbooks than making their game better.
-
4 RepliesMaybe just grind the pinnacles you like.. seems like most people skip the nightmare hunt pinnacle every week. This week with the nightfall ordeal on corrupted I’m skipping that 100k pinnacle. Might take a few extra weeks to hit the 1060 gear cap but who cares unless you are running grandmaster nightfalls.
