Played Control for the first time in about two weeks but normally play more than once per week and thought I had completely lost the little skill I had. Questioning myself and going slightly crazy I didn't realise that SBMM has been removed. It is awful. I won't be playing any other PVP mode other than Solo Survival because it still contains SBMM. Did the sweats cry too much because they couldn't take their own medicine? Won't go near IB either. -blam!- you Bungie.

12 RepliesEdited by Eucadia: 6/28/2020 3:57:11 PMGoing through your game history, it appears you actually performed better on Control (CBMM) than you did on Survival (SBMM): Survival Game 1: KD = 0.1 Survival Game 2: KD = 0.1 Control Game 1: KD = 0.25 Control Game 2: KD = 0.33 Control Game 3: KD = 0.35 Control Game 4: KD = 1.50 Control Game 5: KD = 0.23 https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/profile/psn/taraxacumrad/overview How can your experience be better under SBMM when you're performing worse there? lol.

Truth is you didn’t gain skill in SBMM. And you didn’t lose any. You were being protected in your skill based bubble. Staying stagnant because you didn’t learn anything except how to stay the same. There’s a few other problems with your logic. If SBMM was around for a whole year and Sweats still maintained “Seat” status then they’re every bit as good as advertised. Also “Sweats” make up one percent of the playerbase. You’re not playing real “sweats” every single game. Maybe 1 out of 5 at most. Most of the playerbase is average.... You’re probably just playing average players and a few had an above average games. It happens. But I am wrong about something SBMM did teach you one thing. How to quit when you venture out of your comfort zone.... Weaksauce!

4 RepliesWhy should players who barely play pvp be rewarded the most and punished the least? Why should you have an easy time at the expense of those who live in pvp? The players most dedicated to pvp, who put in the most time, who actively try to improve, who spend more time in pvp than any other activity should be rewarded rewarded for their efforts.

6 RepliesYou only get better by playing against people that are better than you. I hate to say it, but GG

3 RepliesI feel your pain. I went through so many Control matches and just got stomped and steam rolled through by multiple 3 and 6 stack teams. The teams I was in didn't stand a chance against these guys. Content creators and hardcore PVP players are just wrecking in Crucible after they complained about SBMM and they got what they wanted; easy, laid back matches with little to no sweat but, how long will this last? Trial's of Osiris has a low player count due to cheaters, error codes, and hardcore PVP players with Crucible following suit. Pretty sure I caught a few players using Perfect Aim's hacks yesterday in Control.

Edited by CaptainW1nky: 6/30/2020 8:27:50 AMI mean. People should have a choice...... but personally I prefer being able to use whatever loadouts I want while having fun and still competing over having to run the absolute meta just to compete. I never knew how much fun that exotic side arm was until this season. It's very meme and I love it.

3 RepliesPlayed this game for nearly five years now and I love it. I am 64 years old and I have much fun with the game. The last season of grinding has been a little boring so crusible have been more fun for me. Use to be first och at worst third in rumble but now it`s impossible. Skilled player kill everybody so fast so there is nobody left to make a kill. For 20 games it looks like 20, 19 5 0 0 0 . It´s like having a pro to your lokal footballteam. Fun for him but not to us. This is my first time I ever consider to sign of. Bungie should know that the most of their customers are average or less skilled players that pays their company and listen to their oponions if they want their money. I never had problems with lag or time to wait for a game. I understand that skilled players think this is awesame. But please Bungie. Give us back sbmm so even we who are not so good can have a fun time after our hard work.

3 RepliesI agree we need SBMM back. Give us a choice.

And all the sweats talking crap when they get multiple pvp modes to be sweaty and they want everything to be sweaty even the regular mode that is supposed to be for EVERYONE you sweats are as toxic ingame as you are in these forums. So friggin selfish with "git gud" "its better now" we don't want that back" you know new players and casual players and pve players go play crucible too right? And they don't want a disgusting sweat fest every single time and you just don't get it cause you thrive out of destroying regulars or newbs and you just could not take matching up with people that actually destroy you. Yeah I said it

2 RepliesShambles Lols. Have noticed, despite the CBMM its now taking longer for me to cue on PS4 for a game of Control 6's....... so Bungie might inadvertently save me from spending cash on a PS5 ;-) Within the first few minutes of a game you can normally tell how its going to go and as Bungie have decided the calibre of player I now face appears to be significantly better than what I faced before then I just cant be bothered to stress myself out playing like a try hard. I paid my cash same as everyone else so I'll play how I see fit. If you see me cruising at the bottom of the table with a minus efficiency, then feel free to complain to Bungie as I didnt ask to be in your lobby. See you all out there. :-O

When you're used to special treatment, equal treatment feels like oppression. Suck it up, I'm tired of seeing these 0 likes posts.

24 RepliesEdited by aequus: 6/28/2020 7:22:05 PMLower skilled players simply do not get it. A. There was big time issues with SBMM. It caused more issues than it was meant to solve. Average players just not top skilled players were experiencing ridiculous queue times. Not only that, but because of low player pop and P2P servers hit reg, lag, teleporting, getting kicked to orbit was more common than simply a normal game. B. The community has been active for awhile about the removal of SBMM and the complaints of crappy in game performance and other issues it introduced. Bungie looked at the numbers and determined to remove SBMM from certain playlists NOT to appease a small subset of the community I.E High level players, but to appease the majority. The average. Less queue time, better in game performance better overall health of the game despite affecting a small subset in the lower skilled player base. Is it really affecting them though? How effective was SBMM. Low skilled players still remained at the bottom of the crucible even with it. They have done bad with and without. That's okay maybe they don't want to improve, maybe they cant. who knows. Regardless, the removal solves more issues than SBMM ever did. The lower tier players are directing their frustrations at the wrong thing. SBMM, CBMM its irrelevant to them. What needs to be looked at is lobby balancing. With an effective lobby balance system EVERYONE benefits and if done right is a form of SBMM just a way toned down version of it.

I agree git gud

1 ReplyI don't mind what they do just think its funny when people cry about 1 or the other. COD doesn't have it, batlkefued doesn't. Massive shooters, no one is bothered because they've never been catered for. Just practice dude.

"worst case scenario, you die, but who knows, maybe you won't..." -Cayde.

20 RepliesSee, instead of hating people for wanting to relax and not lag, you could be advocating for a harmonious system that allows both you and better people to prioritize MM to accommodate both desires
-
You admittedly rarely play PvP, but think it should cater to your personal preference. I have 2 raid completions, should I cry that raids don't cater to me?

CBMM is good Its a funny self own, someone who plays PvP once every 2 weeks thinks that the game should be bent to their needs.
