Bungie Kudos for this Boss Fight encounter what made this fun was that The boss had a few different mechanics he threw at you but the Mechanics were not difficult and required you to work as a team imagine if you designed a raid with similar mechanics does not have to be super simple but somewhere in between where players can figure out what to do where you could have matchmaking this could possible be a game changer if this can be applied correctly.
Just a though guys leave your comments below

Honestly, I've been disappointed with the sundial bosses since the start. Even the legendary versions weren't very difficult in comparison to some of the mechanics you face with Raid bosses.
-
I loved it. The beginning could be a little tougher maybe but the boss fight was perfect.
-
Actually I agree. It looks stupidly simple but surprisingly I enjoyed it very much. I feel more team work in this boss fight than in any raid. Maybe because it is more focused on actual fight than on stupid mechanics or buffs.

Were it not for it being a 6 person activity, Inotam would actually be a really fun strike boss. Better than Hashladun or Savathun's Song, and certainly less annoying than Sedia.

5 RepliesI honestly don’t get the hype. I’m about average at this game. Did it on my first try, with randoms, no mics. A multiplayer activity that takes zero communication to complete is...... idk makes no sense to me.

You guys are so easy to please its frightening. Probably get a real kick out of people jingling their keys too.
-
The streamers wouldn't approve, which is who Bungie really developes the game for. Discussion over.

Inb4 hey thanks! What exactly did you find fun about the encounter so I can take the feedback to the team and they can create future content that has nothing to do with your feedback, but maybe your feedback will be implinented in 3 years!

2 RepliesYou serious? It was insight terminus reskin, are people this dumb? Or you just easy to impress?
-
3 RepliesIf you polish a turd it’s still a turd. Blindly praising Bungie for a lazy re hashed re skin will never improve the game
-
There is waaayyyyyyyyyy too much more wrong with this game, that will allow one re-skinned boss fight that you liked, to make this game do an about-face, and make a come back. It’s way too late for salvations !!!

A boss fight you've absolutely done before in a mildly different manner (literally nothing of consequence as that's how they recycle) and that's an excellent boss fight? Hahahahahahahahahaha what?
-
Edited by Spooky_Ari: 2/7/2020 7:47:43 AMIt was meh. Easier than the solo encounters with just one of them. It's just a glorified public event with regular Sundial tasks to do before it.

12 RepliesEdited by MONKEYGOTRABIES: 2/7/2020 7:33:30 AMThey certainly have succeeded. They've starved you of creativity, imagintion, and evolution so long that a boss fight that goes ever so slightly north of "five years of the same damn thing" is lauded as "excellent." They've set your expectations to, "It's not bad enough for me to actually quit," and by conditioning you to see the bar so low, even adequacy is celebrated. It appears they have succeeded in their mission outstandingly. Update: One downvote vs fourteen upvotes. You status quo guys are an extreme minority.

5 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 2/6/2020 4:32:17 PMThe only thing that was unique was the Legend version. He traps you in a void sphere then casts arc lightning. Interesting set up and deff much better done then the undying mind from last season. I was just hoping it had a better skill barrier. Edit: One thing I do have to say though is when every one in your clan has anarchy this fight is a joke. We might be in the minority as i doubt every clan has this going for it. But we are a small clan and laugh at the concept of divinity when 6 people turn every event into a electric light show.

I just watched this "boss fight" on YouTube. It was a five minute fight. Nothing spectacular. No cool mechanics. Shoot boss. Warp. Kill yellow bar. Warp. Shoot boss. Warp. Kill yell...you get the point. Low expectations. Low result. 👍

They need to get back to vault of Glass type raid designs. I liked most of the D1 raids, they all had something interesting. Swords, totems, plates, portals, building an engine, relics and some other interesting mechanics. Even the short crotas end was enjoyable running through the darkness with thrall coming out of everywhere. With that off chance of an exotic that was not a raid exclusive dropping. Not to mention primaries with burns. Adept or not. Those raids actually felt like a journey through something, and not next boss, next boss. You had to actually GET to the next boss.

2 RepliesIt felt like a Heroic public event honestly. It was a good change up, but still.

The people leaving comments being over-critical of the new boss encounter I think are missing the point. Inotam's boss encounter was nothing earth-shattering, it uses mechanics that we already know and an arena that is basically a reskin of previously used areas. I don't think anyone was expecting a brand new boss with brand new mechanics. However, with that in mind, Inotam felt like a more unique boss fight than the previous 3 bosses. The change in mechanics made it feel different. If we can get this level of boss encounters with each set of seasonal content, I'm content (pun wasn't intended, but I'm going with it). For example, imagine if the Undying Mind boss arena was held in one of the areas from the Garden of Salvation raid. Even if it were the same mechanics with a few more adds, it would have felt like a unique encounter. The only thing I would improve is a unique loot pool to the final boss, even if the loot pool is small. For example, I think having Heroic Inotam offer Perfect Paradox and the 2 seasonal weapons would have been a great addition.

If it isn't short of a Raid some people will cry about it. I for one thought it was a brilliant new encounter. My fireteam ran it on the higher difficulty and it was an absolute blast. Planning our load outs, fearing the extinguish modifier, and tactfully blasting the boss to Hell. I had a lot of fun with it. This was much better than a ctrl+v of a D1 strike boss they hyped for a whole season. This is a direction they can build off of. I say good job and learn from this Bungie.

I was excited going in and while the encounter is set in a great area they did very little with it. - Go in, stand on plate, damage main boss, get teleported. - Kill Psion variant, get teleported back - Stand on TWO plates, damage main boss, get teleported. - Kill Psion variant, get teledported back - Stand on THREE plates, kill main boss, collect rewards. It felt like a public event to be honest other than the setting of course.

Better than overlord last season
-
Lol it's go in shoot alternate version stand on plates like every other encounter in this game congrats bungie on the most basic game design!
-
this boss takes less time to kill then any other boss lol, once we warp, takes 2 heavy hits to get telported back right away , i mean it was so fast i couldnt beleive how easy this boss was lol

They had the end of destiny 1 to know what they did right and wrong so they could work from the frame and make D2 great but we didn’t get that so I doubt we are going to expect much different now
