How many vets are there of d1?

Ive been playing destiny 2 but my interest is really starting to fall off. Im thinking of going back to d1 and completing all the quests that dont require a team. What are your thoughts on destiny 2 so far? Edit: nice to see so many of you. I have another question for you all to answer. How would you feel if they merged d1 and d2 to make 1 evolving world like they said in d2 shadowkeep vidoc?

  • Thought D2 was a money grab kick in the balls till forsaken dropped. Had high hopes for shadowkeep and the seasons but so far I am very underwhelmed and my playtime is dropping off a cliff. Most likely won't be playing after the next exotic drops, at least till the next one drops. Thats my only reason to play anymore.

    • Not a whole lot of them left. Thoughts on Destiny 2? Bad game start to finish with 0 redeemable qualities. Everything it attempts to do right it immediately sells short.

    • I still love d2. Sure I don't play hours on hours anymore but still hop on every week to see what's happening. I have like maybe 140 days on it. I only play one class and I find that's the best way. Focus on gear stats for one class is easier and I don't get burnt out doing all 3. I know people get tired of it but feel they have to play but you dont. Focus on one class. Have fun with that class. Then take a break. Watch a show or play another game.

I have been contemplating starting D1 All over again with my Xbox account since my D1 stuff is lost on PS4 but then I realized that would be a huge waste of my time as I grinded and got everything D1 had to offer. So now I struggle with just quitting entirely

      • Both games have good points, still think D1 was better in more ways, even now. But some of that was the magic, mystique, the not knowing. Now I feel jaded, tired, and feel I know bungie too well. Id probably feel the exact same if they released in reverse order and us be saying D2 was better. Either way it's the only franchise I play and despite the ups and down, bungie created something no one else has come close too, yet.

Had to keep the medicine going but she gotta Rise from the increase in Iron to her system. What a Triumph, really. Destiny 2? Oh, no, we're gonna hafta Ol' Yeller this sad b**ch.

I stopped playing regularly about 1 and a half years ago and recently deleted it entirely. I still have hope for the future, but I see it becoming an impossibility for this game to be the destiny it always should've been. I would say check out the Nintendo switch games if your interested. Edit: forgot to say yes- I am a long term vet. I got into d1 middle of year1 on 360 and later into d1 end of year1 on ps4.

        • D1 Day 1 here. I have a love / hate relationship with this game but I'm another one who will most likely be here until they shut off the lights and lock the doors. That doesn't mean I'm always happy and I definitely hold "-blam!- sessions" with fellow clan mates. It's fun to burn them in effigy for some of the shit they pull.

        • I got well over 5000 hours in and have been here pretty much constantly from the D1 alpha on ps4. D2 has never lived up to D1 and i think i have kept playing out of hope that it would eventually be as good as D1. I see it this way, the first three years were great, made a lot of friends and enjoyed everything the game had to offer. The second three years i watched almost everyone i played with abandon destiny while i waited for it to get better. Now I believe i am finally just done.

        • I started playing Destiny 1 in September of 2015. That was when Y2 started. Only recently, has D2 been able to "catch up" to the fun that was Destiny 1. Unfortunately, D1 has a much better Crucible. The skill trees, grenades, rewards, class balance, maps, etc. Most of it is still superior in D1. D1 in general has better vendors, better looking armor, less invasive Eververse, had a better Iron Banner, faction system, better rocket launchers, better perks, ammo synthesis, armsday, etc.

I started with the D1 Beta on Xbox 360. Bought an Xbox One primarily for Destiny 1. I'm not having nearly as much fun with D2 as I did with D1. D2 drives people away. My friends list has been decimated multiple times as people get fed up with "Being Bungied" and move on. I don't blame them. I used to Raid a lot in D1 I'd run 2 to 4 Raids + Nightfall in D - per character and I had a Titan, Warlock and Hunter. I have not completed the last 3 D2 raids because my Friends list is once again empty as people move on to games that are more fun. D2 Raids are also more toxic and more involved technically than D1 were - making them even less Fun. PvP is a joke of Lag switching, IP Exploits (thanks for exposing all our IP Addresses in each match of every game type Bungie in D2 - at least D1 only the Host Console could access our IP Address), being shot through walls and 6 solo players matched against multiple teams of 2 to 6 in casula activities.

          • I really like D2, but it definitely has its problems still. I feel like there are so many aspects of the game that are near perfect, but are burdened by one or two issues that happen to be huge. Take raids for instance: super dope concepts and encounters to go through, but the loot incentive is terrible, and the challenges are cool, but also don’t have much loot incentive and can be buggy.
