I think it's the way most people interpret the forums. B-net is a joke to the rest of the Destiny community. I'm not only one that gets a good laugh out of it.

Number 4 on steam, Shadowkeep was the number selling game on steam, and 1 million PvE players yesterday at the end of a "horrible season." How's are the competitors doing? ESO, Division 2, Falloit 76, Anthem? Its laughable how people think Destiny is doing bad.

Bungie’s competitors are every other video game, and I’m not seeing any comparisons outside of day one stream sales against no competition. You’ll remember that Bungie pushed the release of SK back so it didn’t release at the same time as Border Lands 3, which is closer to being an actual competition. You’ll notice that jcald admits later in the thread BL3 outsold it. The games he listed as “competitors” came out in January, February, last year, and 2012. Of you’re going to call ESO a competitor then you gotta call WoW a competitor and D2 isn’t doing well against that one. Why should I reply to that? I love Bungie I don’t hate them. I’ve never said I hate them, or the game. I just don’t make up lies on the internet to pretended they don’t have negative qualities, make questionable decisions, and release content that isn’t worthy of the Franchise. You have been trying for more than a year to push this false narrative but you never have any evidence of it.

You know those sheep you were talking about? You are fighting with the ring leader. He’s bungie’s number one hater. He is filtering out what you tell him because he is delusional and responds aggressively to anything outside of the “the game sucks” or some variant of that statement. I’m successfully laughing them off because they are laughable. I have to use those same articles to remind other players that Bungie isn’t poor all the time. Negative feedback isn’t trashing Bungie.

Are you suggesting that everyone that plays this game is playing everyday? Are you suggesting that the people that bought the game on Steam because it was the only major release on Steam? PC players don't have to use Steam so I'd say Borderlands was a major competitor. Do you really think that out of 3 million new players that they are all free to play. How about about this. Care to site your source for this data or should I just trust someone who misrepresents data? Show me the report that shows ShadowKeep outsold BL3 on any platform or every platform. Yes I know they are almost every singe one a new light player, but not every single one. Maybe 100 new player bought D2 and expansion. Maybe. You don’t just magically gain 3m players in one day on the day you add a free to play mode by coincidence. I never said Shadowkeep outsold Borderlands, I said Borderlands was a sales competitor and Shadowkeep was still the number 1 selling game on steam at the same time. It was in October btw. I didn't say that 3 million new players weren't FTP, your acting like none of those new players bought anything. You dodged the question about Destiny's direct competitors. I always back my "claims" up with links, your precious forum haters are the ones the exaggerate and spread false information. The problem players have with the content isn’t from a lack of money. They make tons of money selling the game so the Eververse scamming is just for more money.
