5+ clears, 10+ clears, have Izanagi’s or Divinity, beaten it flawless, checking Raid Report. That’s what 90% of raid LFG groups are asking these days and personally I find it disheartening. Clearly these people have a lot more time than others to play the game and I also think it stops people who’ve never done the new raid or any raid for that matter from posting on LFG. Because if they ask to play and then don’t meet the requirements, they usually get some sort of abusive or bully like comment. PvP players could want to try a raid for the first time, people who aren’t in a clan or don’t have many friends, new players, good players who just haven’t gotten around to it yet, people coming back to Destiny 2 etc but because of how Destiny 2 raiding is these days there’s very little chance of even finding a group doing it for the first time, they do exist, just not many of them. I guarantee some of you have seen this and that you’ve also laughed at the elite posts or laughed at people asking for help. Destiny 1 had this problem to an extent but I never remember it being this bad. I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse.
If I’ve left anything out, feel free to add it in a comment as I’m currently trying not to burn my house down whilst making lunch (I suck at cooking) Additionally - I’m already acutely aware that I’m going to receive a fair bit of abuse for this, no doubt I’ll be called a noob or be told to “get gud” etc. I’ve got my fingers crossed this forum post won’t be filled with toxic comments from children and adults alike. Negative and positive constructive comments are welcome, just don’t act like a dick. Prove the Destiny community isn’t what people think it is*

1 ReplySame old post everyone always makes whining about LFG. Nobody is obligated to help you Make a post yourself if you're a first timer
-
1 ReplyRaid community is pretty toxic right now. I’d stay away.
-
Yeah, it could be better. I find success just posting a group that welcomes newbies. Joining a group is too much.
-
2 RepliesI got a great idea for you. For everyone that agrees with you y'all should make a clan and boom no more lfg. I know insane idea....
-
Funny thing is I lfg all the time and have no issues. Someone wants a specific amount of clears that's reasonable because it's their group lol. If I didn't meet requirements I would make my own group or find one without requirements. Not everyone wants to carry or teach people.
-
Edited by WitnessTheFitness: 11/24/2019 3:15:51 PMWhy should these people have to carry you? Make your own post and struggle through a raid for 10 hours while trying to figure out why the guy running sweet bussenis is only putting out 50k dps. Also curious to know your raid loadout. Have you put the time and effort in to get optimal gear or are you ok with putting out half dps and making everyone work harder?

I'd honesly want to have at least a few stipulations in place than nothing, unless it's a learning raid. Granted it's been a while since I've used the100 or anything like that, but I usually don't have a lot of chances anymore during the week to raid. So I don't want to get stuck with people that don't really know what they're doing. But at the same time yeah some of the restrictions they put in place are crazy. And if it's a bunch of people that aren't used to playing together there's going to be problems either way. Which will usually cause the guy in charge of it to pitch a bit of a fit, which I've seen before.

"New to GoS need help getting through" It'll fill in 2 minutes
-
2 Repliesowww, so sad.... no one wants to carry you, they are so meanies....owwwww MAKE UR OWN GROUP
-
2 RepliesHell shit even clans are asking for the same sh!t ... Fck it I’m to the point where I don’t even bothered doing any raids to this point
-
Bungie should have more guided games from a team provided by bungie employees....or give bettter incentives for people helping others

5 RepliesI actually do have two issues with these types of posts... 1... You are FULLY capable of creating your own post in LFG with your own requirements. Yes it will take longer to get a group together but you'll be more likely to find people with your own level of knowledge of the Raid. 2...
Because if they ask to play and then don’t meet the requirements, they usually get some sort of abusive or bully like comment.
NO WAY would I ask to join a LFG group with KWTD in it and then expect them to carry or teach me the Raid. I would deserve whatever abuse they decided to hand out. It is up to you to join a LFG that you meet the requirements of. Hopefully that doesn't come off as me being an elitist douche. If it does then you might want to pull a raid report on me if you don't trust me when I say I have a total of 1 (ONE) clear in a Raid in D2. :) I completely agree with those who post the requirements they do. It's their post.

78 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 11/22/2019 9:07:55 PMThen make your own group with 5 people who have zero clears and bad weapons. Let me know how that goes for you. Raids are "endgame" activities. If you play 2 hours a week and can't be bothered to do quests for useful weapons then they probably aren't for you. Annnnnnnnd... everybody who has more clears than you put their time in to gain experience. PERFECTLY reasonable to want to raid with people who have ALSO "paid their dues." Unfortunately, you're better off if you get some clears early in the season. Later in the season, I don't want to struggle with potatoes (it's painful). I don't feel like donating my time doing longer weekly runs for loot just because little Timmy needs a carry. PS: Nobody ever requires that you have a flawless. Get real.

Try using the 'Guided Games' option. Hahaha lol.

3 RepliesEdited by AlieN_x_HuMaN: 11/23/2019 7:37:39 AMThis is nothing new. People want to ensure they will actually get it done. Others want to get it done quickly. Nothing wrong with that. The issue is that Bungo in their infinite wisdom, come up with boss encounters like Spire and Garden, that only a certain number of people can do easily, and alienate 80% of players. I would bet money that the amount of people who cleared Scourge and Eater is greater than the others because of their accessibility. *another huge issue is this app is terrible! Ill make a post for some peeps and notning happens and I give up and log off, only to wake up the next day with 4 Fireteam is Full messages, and 3 PMs asking why Im not inviting them into my fireteam. Fkn Bungie...

I don't join "..or kicked" "will RR" "Need X+ clears" posts. I just join "chill run" "kwtd" ( just watch a YouTube video to understand the basics). Or for you just join "teaching a friend", or "willing to teach" posts. They do exists. Otherwise just make your own
-
You left out that its not that hard to find a group and complete or almost complete a raid.
-
1 Reply1) Since Bungie added an LFG to this site, it killed other LFG's. Bungie LFG is so limiting. - You can only post a short message.... So I can't post stuff like... "Looking to join a chill group for 1st run of raid x" 2) With the tedious mechanic driven raids, it seems like there are less raid groups than in the past. Most of the time I spent in the Leviathan was with the same group of friends. Most of the posts that say have X clears, KWT are either people that take the game like it's a job or looking for a carry or trying to get 100's of completions. Can't really blame them. 3) Also the way they tune the damage for the final bosses has always been an issue. Seems like they tune for the 1 or 2 things are OP, so if you're not using them it makes things excessively difficult. Personally I think they should tune everything for 5 people. Because there is always that one guy.

4 RepliesIt toxic af, there's a reason why only 1% of the population raid...
-
3 RepliesJoin our clan? We Sherpa people a lot because we like to do so. You buy the game and don’t get to raid yourself missing out on like 20% of what you paid for. Plus we’re all older and parents so the elitist shit is like 10 years ago. We can also help others who have the same problem feel free to come too. You need helpful people not the ones on this forum. I used to lfg everything, then joined this clan and now I come back just to read the whiny babies comments and posts on here haha.

It really isnt as bad as you are making it out to be. A few things. 1. Having proper gear for a raid matters. So having iz or whisper or firing line legendary is important. Otherwise a group gets stuck cause of not enough damage output. These exotics are also relatively easy to obtain, just takes time. so when I installed shadowkeep, I went immediately after these weapons. 2. Target the LFG that works best for you. Me personally, happy to join a 'learning' or 'chill' group. I find it fun, and getting stuck and frustrated is part of building a feeling of accomplishment when you finally get it done. 3. Highly recommend joining a clan. Alot of great groups out there of various play styles. I still do alot of LFG, but also helps to break up the frustration through a nice easy clan raid should I not be in the mood to teach and beat my head against a wall. Be patient and best of luck.
-
Sounds like someone wants to be carried
-
Make your own post as leader. Problem solved... This shouldn’t be difficult.
-
op, is anyone holding you hostage and not letting you to make YOUR OWN TEAM? Just curious....
-
1 ReplyI have given up on raiding in D2. Half of them say they will kick you if you mess up. Endgame LFG has become REALLY unfun with its toxic demands. Some "community" we have here.

Exactly how I feel in a nutshell I’m to scared to post for a crown of sorrow because of the people who can’t be arsed with teaching even though they know what to do through the encounters I’d love to get the tarrabah I really would the truth of it all I have to try guided games and sit in bonkers long queues which never find anyone it’s unsatisfying tbh
