So after 3500+ hours in D1 I saw the loadouts in D2 & decided never to buy it but with D2 going f2p I thought Ide jump in & have a look.
Got myself upto 900 light did half a dozen or so quests a few escslation protocols & a few strikes & uninstalled it.
Game is by far the worst state Destiny has ever been in.
Youre just so weak & slow & the weapons feel pathetic, just finishing 1 strike was an absolute slog & I left atleast 10 before I managed to push myself to finish just 1 I was so salty about weak & slow it felt.
I know I know nobody gives a toss but I mean if someone like me cant be bothered anymore how are bungie going to convince others the game is worth playing.
D2 is awful & that makes me very sad I was really hoping to fall back into it & get back to raiding but Im way too salty to continue playing such weak ass slow characters & this armour system,WTF were they thinking.
Really salty now.

Edited by DS Burrito: 10/10/2019 11:06:53 PMYou made it to 900 then quit. That’s no where near the recommended light for the the fun activities like Garden of Salvation or the dungeon coming at the end of the month. And I personally dislike everything on Mars, so of course to me doing old escalation protocol is going to sound lame and boring. Strikes, well now that your 900 they should go smoothly. Plus with the annual pass there’s going to be more content this December. And with 3500+ hours I’m sure you played through Taken King and it’s horrendous content drought. So I disagree with this being the worse point for destiny. *cough cough* curse of Osiris. I’m not trying to bash you or anything, you just gave up to quick. _______________________

D2 is not awful that’s over the top ! You need to give it a proper go , some of the exotic quests are solid . I am really enjoying SK .

Got myself upto 900 light did half a dozen or so quests a few escslation protocols & a few strikes & uninstalled it.
That's your first problem. You only dipped your toe in. You didn't run through the better parts of campaigns, any of the seasonal content, PvP, etc... You bailed far too fast
Game is by far the worst state Destiny has ever been in.
It's honestly in the best place. Are there issues? Yep. But every game has issues. D2 has undoubtedly improved over D1, and over D2 Vanilla. There's so much to do and earn, and much more freedom to play however you want
Youre just so weak & slow & the weapons feel pathetic, just finishing 1 strike was an absolute slog & I left atleast 10 before I managed to push myself to finish just 1 I was so salty about weak & slow it felt.
You probably used crap blue weapons, not legendaries. Legendaries here are amazing, and probably better overall than in D1. I'm pretty sure D2 Guardians are overall tankier than D1, and just maybe a tiny bit slower, though that could be a product of the environment, the game itself playing differently, or low mobility/bad jump choice on your character. I don't know how in the world you quit 10 strikes when they are so simple to smash through, but I'd jot that down to experience and skill
I know I know nobody gives a toss but I mean if someone like me cant be bothered anymore how are bungie going to convince others the game is worth playing.
The game has well over 2.5 million active daily users, and took top page on Twitch for World's First Raid Day. It has been a steady increase since Forsaken, and is continuing to grow. Seems like they're convincing people just fine
this armour system,WTF were they thinking.
They were thinking about giving complete aesthetic control through unlimited mods and Eververse transmog for the small price of needing the right affinity to slot a few mods for cheaper point totals. Once you collect all mods and fully max out a set, you can change any perks, any time, for free. Way better than random roll armor IMO
-
With armour 2.0, you have the opportunity to upgrade your mobility. The roll on the weapon you use can also make a difference. This all hinges on acquiring the right weapon with a roll that works for you. It will take time to upgrade the armour to the specific build that you feel comfortable in as well. If you did not enjoy your time doing strikes or EP, then this game isn’t for you. It is a grind. It sucks that this game doesn’t provide you with the gaming experience that you’re looking for. I still enjoy what this game has to offer. To each their own.

How are strikes hard? They’re so easy and everything gets melted...

This would be spot on if talking about vanilla D2 but far from the case now. You can solo speedrun nightfalls in 5-10 min and take out the boss in one wardcliff volley.
-
5 RepliesIf you weren't playing when Curse of Osiris launched, then you've got no idea what the "worst state Destiny has ever been in" is.

3 RepliesEdited by X-LoganX: 10/8/2019 5:29:17 PMI'm so glad developers don't create many games for players like you. You're the same type who wants everything now and doesn't look at the long game grind. You are a very small niche of the playerbase and very few developers will make a game that caters to you. It also means that you're Game library will be very small and niche.
Youre just so weak & slow & the weapons feel pathetic
This statement alone reinforces my view..
-
I honestly don't understand how anyone can come from D1 & say we're weak in D2.
-
3 RepliesSo basically you hopped into a game you never played before with no knowledge of how it works and quit because you didn't know what you were doing? Sounds about right.
-
Shet game brah.
-
Fail.

6 RepliesEdited by Bore: 10/8/2019 12:14:22 PMThe game has never been better. It’s far superior to d1. Strikes aren’t slow and we have a lot of weapons in this game that are far stronger than anything in d1...
-
Edited by michael: 10/9/2019 11:36:20 AMD2 right now is better than D1 ever was with maybe the exception of the very end of D1’s lifespan just because the raids were updated and obviously everyone went crazy over that. D1 was good but no matter how much you hate D2 it has made several steps forward in regards to the grind, quality of life, and things that the community wanted in D1.
-
3 Replies
Youre just so weak & slow & the weapons feel pathetic
Nothing like jumping onto the EARLIEST ZONE, the EDZ and getting my REAR END served back to me with SALT because all my new " Armor 2.0" is Absolute Trash and will take 10X as many components to Masterwork back to even CLOSE to where my previous armor was. And yeah, they reduced how you can deal with rank and file enemies, so its even a SLOWER slog to get through them. Ammo drop rates feel less as well.

1 ReplyIf you had 3500 hours in destiny, then you obviously saw more of the fun content than you saw in destiny 2. You barely touched D2. Of course you’re not gonna get hooked.
-
Probably just what you're used to. Strikes are way easier than d1 and I don't know what you mean by slow either.
-
Well 1st of all you dont have any good weapons so of course youre gonna be killing all slugish.
-
Edited by Turbo Speedsman: 10/9/2019 12:48:37 AMAfter 3500 hours of my 9-5 ,I gotta say I liked my life without as many responsibilities.
-
I agree destiny 1 is still better but destiny 2 is fun idk what you mean by slow whenever I go back and play destiny 1 it feels like playing titanfall 1 after titanfall 2
-
I still dont get these post. Nobody cares that you dont like it. Get off the forums and go do something productive rather than shitting on a game you dont like.

D2 Y1 was the worst state you barely touched the content but you are entitled to your own opinion
-
1 ReplyThen dont play it.
