5 RepliesMy wife and I were waiting to preorder because after everything they did before its all about the cash for Bungie. I 100% do not trust a reward system based on exp that they have already be caught throttling. Now they are just gonna flat out charge you for the rewards. Eververse has become what they always wanted it to. Selling items in game for money to kids and idiots who are willing to pay for it. They may say its (at the end of the season) this time but I'm sure they will progressively just move the actual selling of items closer and closer to the launch of each season. Welcome everyone to the PAY TO WIN that we have been warning people about for so long. We finally made it thanks to the help of streamers who normalize this shit.

Ask yourself this.....should I be bothered? I honestly cannot find a reason to play the same thing repeatedly for an item that does slightly more than the last. It has lost its magic for me at the moment. I look at lfg and can't find a reason that I should spend x amount of time for said slightly better option. I am optimistic about shadow keep but the pay to catch up mechanics is a kick in the sack. We shall see......

Fortnite style battlepass thing isn’t really a negative because it isn’t pay 2 win. And I’m waiting to see what this announcement is about the raid armor.

7 Replies...the battle pass is available to people who actually buy the seasonal DLC. You literally get it as a bonus in addition to the DLC. It's a means of rewarding people with a guaranteed drop. I actually really like that. But hey, if you wanna leave, there's the door. I'm certainly not gonna try and convince you to stay.

No need to switch, just play Borderlands until Shadowkeep launches and see what the reviews say. Maybe don’t read the forums during that time, it’s not exactly... objective.

I’ve preordered everything from D1 til this last expansion. Bungie has turned me off from Destiny, at least for now. Maybe destiny 3 will bring me back. I usually go through of switching between division and Destiny. Both games have been lack luster and shadowkeep is not the exception.

4 RepliesI only have one friend left who cares about this game, was going to play through shadowkeep to see if the game has gotten better but thanks to Bungie I won't have to, not going to bother with this crap. Battlepass? Paying for tiers? This isn't destiny anymore, the devs are out of touch.

I was skeptical but the more I see the more I say I will wait and probably not get it. They seem to be putting all their time into Eververse yet say content is hard to make. I don't mind the microtransaction in something like Fortnite that is is free to play but when I have spent full price for every single dlc and the original game I don't expect there to be micro transactions or if there are for them to be minimal and also for things you can earn by playing.
