I’m losing hype for shadowkeep fast

-fortnite style battle pass
Omg I might actually switch over to borderlands because of this ridiculousness

It's already lost all hype for me. I've been holding out, waiting for more info, hoping I'll hear something to get me excited. So far, everything I find out only makes me want to play less. Still haven't ordered it.

Such a bummer. Stuff like this will eventually cause a collapse in this genre.. Folks will run back to single player games that offer online co-op.

I wouldn't mind it at all if D2 was completely Free to Play, or if seasonal content (the weapons and armor) wasn't going to be restricted after the season. If I can't earn gear at my leisure, the game no longer has entertainment value to me.

2 Repliesits honestly the fact that they are using as an example the worse content they release, whats turning me down, they are focusing on what the annual pass did wrong, instead of what forsaken did alright. its about adding content that people care, adding lore to what you do, adding engaging new activities. but instead, they think by making you grind the same content whitout adding anything new except for pinnacle weapons and good rolls, is suddenly gonna help them keep content relevant whitout adding new activities. people in reality hates grinding, they still would do it cause of the way we are, but doesnt mean people has a limit to it. at one point it will break people spirits and make it stop, (its already happening) i think the devs have to stop and think whats better: keep adding futile objectives to keep the log in numbers up all the time on the game, but at the same time exhausting the players and making them quit?. or adding meaningful content that people would love, maybe it wont last forever, people will finish it and quit destiny for a while.... . but at least you will know as a developer that next time you release a new dlc as good as the one you gave them, people will buy it and return to the game yet again, with no hesitations this is exactly what bungie has multiple times fail to see. so far i hope that shadowkeep is more than a reskin, they still really havent say anything about it, just the road ahead of it, so in a sense, they still have time to prove us wrong, we will see.. for now, i have monster hunter world dlc to have fun, in case shadowkeep isnt an option

1 ReplyYou're losing hype or hope? I'm with you on losing hope as well. I'm going to play the Shadowkeep story but it will be after I really get into BL3 and Gears 5. Bungie has once again proven they don't understand what we want. I thought it would be different after Activision was out of the picture, but for what you mentioned in your post, it might be time to call an end to it. Where did the imagination go with this company?

5 RepliesI just dont take this game seriously anymore. And its the best i advise everyone. At least not people that for some reason truly enjoy the game to its fullest. I bought the anal pass for 15 bucks. Great value/content ratio imo. Id do the same for shadow keep ill just wait for it to drop price. Do some pvp and goof with friends. Other than that D2 is just not worth the time/grind, expectation, price you name it. The game , in its current state , its not -bad- but the potential is too big and most of us know it. Twabb bla bla bla and lukes drama director bs seemed coherent oddly enough. But for each hit bungie takes 73 strikes. I also dont buy the Activision is evil excuse. I dont believe business model will affect the game being fun or bad. D2 was not f2p and it sucked big time Y1 so i dont think season pass or whatever will actually change the fun factor of the game. For what we had from bungo the most reasonable forecast seems to be an already dying D2 with some ups here and there. If by some chance D2 improves i guess bungie will get some money to produce D3.

2 RepliesYoure only knee-jerking at the battle pass because its called a Battle Pass, did you actually take even a second to analyze what was in it or how it worked? You cant just BUY all the loot until the last 2 weeks of the season, period. You have to EARN everything else. Its way better than Fortnite.

I’m just fed up with the unbalanced lobbies. This game is full of welfare -blam!- hoping to be carried through every activity, just so they can put the rewards in the vault and not play the game. It’s only going to get worse with free to play Guardians 🤦♂️Just no fun anymore...

13 RepliesI love how everyone complaining about the addition of the battle pass type reward system is going to get the season pass anyway. Don't pretend you're not or haven't already pre-ordered it. So what does it really matter since you'll have it anyway? Which by the way why are you still pre-ordering anything now days? So many examples of let downs that got hyped up. That worried about it just wait and see before you buy. Yeah it sucks if you have work/family/school that you might miss out on some drops. Or even want to play a different game. Not the end of the world. You know a lot of the items like exotics will be available later in the form of that RNG we all love. The real issue will be when they screw up the balance and you missed out on said exotic for just playing. I don't have much confidence there lol.
