The battle pass has completely turned me off. There’s zero chance that this isn’t designed to force people to either miss out on loot or pay up. It’s pathetic and people won’t wake up until the usual Bungie “mistake” is pointed out by a streamer. Streamer: “Oh, hey guys I noticed that once you hit rank 50 all xp slows down unless you buy a 4-hour xp booster for 300 silver.” Bungie: “dangit... it looks like we missed the mark. Gosh darnit guys, we’re not happy with this either. We’re going to leave it so we can collect data, but we’ll go ahead and let you guys buy ranks for 500 silver per rank so you don’t miss out on any sweet loot.” Fanboys: “gosh Bungie is awesome. They listen to us and when they make mistakes they own up to it and make it right 😍😍😍” Me: 🤯🤯🤯🤬🤮

5 years of Destiny and I'm officially ready to walk away from it. I loved the game, it became something on it own in year 3 of D1, magnificent. Then since launch of D2 I've been disappointed far more times than I've been excited and now with Shadowkeep changes to the game that's literally enough to turn me away from the power fantasy (we never really got) They want to save the game, introduce dedicated PvP servers and ditch battle season cheap, this isn't a FTP game, it's a AAA game franchise with full priced releases. They want to offer less content, nerf power instead of creating challenging encounters it's horse shit and lazy.

The more I play this game, the more I dislike it.

When I started with D2 last year, all the veterans told me that Bungie can't be trusted and is greedy and leaves you alone with lesser content than you get in almost any other Game. And that they are always hyping things up and then it turns out it's not that great. I didn't believe it and thought they are all exaggerating but after knowing what new content means for Bungie after an entire year of playing, I now have to admit they were not that wrong. When I read that it is too hard for them to make a new Nightfall map for each season or how they struggle with new Crucible maps and then see how other Games spill their content out..to what exactly are the millions of dollars going? Some overpayed CEO? Golden Lambo for Luke Smith? WTF are you doing with all the money you get? Bungie to me feels like they are a blown out of proportion company which should better be 10 times smaller than they actually are. All I see are reskins and grind mechanics to hide that there is nothing new. And to round it up, the great Eververse, turning from a "I don't bother about it, I get everything simply by playing the Game a lot" to a "what a scam. 8 bucks for an emote and no other way to get it?" I stopped playing 2 weeks before the end of Season of Opulence before the armor 2.0 hit D2 and since this, I was regularly checking out news or forum entries. I am so glad I did not pre-purchase Shadowkeep. After checking out the latest statements which all sound good in the 1st second but not if you think about what was really said, I now know that I will not take a break only but will not return at all. No hard feeling on my side, I had good times with D2 but this is Game is surely nothing for me on a long run. Too little effort and way to much Hype about nothing.

I literally don't care about those things. Can't wait to play.

Borderlands 3!!!! Even Bungie devs have postponed Shadowkeep launch to play it.

Its weird. I believe that Shadowkeep is going to be great in terms of content and narrative, yet every time I hear a Bungie mouthpiece I get bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't like this when Forsaken was close to being released, and that DLC wasn't nearly as impressive in terms of quality of life changes and overall improvements. I don't know if its because content is going to be removed later down the line, the obviously broken monetization scheme that the will inevitably pull with the battle pass or the recent leak that raid armor (friggin [i]raid[/i] armor) is going to a be a reskin, but I just can't muster up the enthusiasm for this DLC. Does anyone else hear know what I'm talking about?

The battle pass is here because of one reason because people spend money on it. The simple thing to do is stop spending money on this bull and push back monetization but that will never happen because people will always dump 1000s of dollars on this crap. If battle passes didn’t make money this would NOT be in the game. This is another way to maximize profits like every other game try’s to do. They are once again trying to push the goal post forward. Edit yes I understand you can’t spend 1000s of dollars on a battle pass but still! For gods sake!

if you give anymore money to Bungie for DLC at this point you seriously deserve the disappointment

We've all been directly told to - expect less content going forward - expect more grind going forward - expect more MTs going forward Combined with the ongoing lacklustre gameplay and lack of fun exciting and engaging content...I didn't have any hype to lose tbh.

I won't lie. The fortnite look alike bs is making me question my continued support to them. I play this game because it is not fortnite garbage. In no way should we be allowed to spend money for stuff beyond cosmetics. I'm glad i waited to buy shadowkeep. It looks less "fully customizable gear" than originally let on with stuff locked to damage types (just get rid of damage types on gear it's useless). I'll sadly still probably buy it. But this slope is slippery. Innovate bungie, don't be a follower. Find a better way to increase revenue.

Just wait til Borderlands 3 does a battlepass.

I looked at Shadow keep today and honestly after seeing the price it only confirmed my decision to wait till it’s been out for a while and there’s plenty of reviews. Even then I may not purchase it. 35 bucks is half a new game or could be put towards one of my primary hobbies. We will see. All in all after the last season pass I’m not sure if I want to keep wasting time and money on this game.
