Got a screenshot of it. They basicallly did nothing when we were at around 30 motes and then all a sudden everyone on our team got booted. I can understand trials or comp but GAMBIT PRIME? that's a new low

Probably the same loser that DDossed our ft in QP... 4 of us got booted one by one. In QP... LoL It makes the think of the fat bald guy in Make Love Not Warcraft. Some people are just pure trash. They’ll eventually get their comupins.... Karma is a bi7ch.

7 RepliesImagine finding posts where so many people STILL don’t understand what a DDOS is,including the OP, Jesus Christ.
-
I found the match you were talking about, and every single player was booted out, not just your team. Gambit is a very unstable game mode in general, and it is made worse by P2P and players with awful connections.
-
You didn't get DDOSed. The lobby just collapsed. Probably because someone either quit out....or otherwise had their connection to the lobby severed. Player numbers are so low right now, that the game is having trouble making good matches. So I'd expect things like this to happen more often until the player numbers pick up. IF the player numbers pick up, given how Bungie is acting right now.

There is nothing to understand. You just don't cheat that's all. DDOS is for trash.

4 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 5/15/2019 4:32:54 AMWhy "can you understand DDOS in Trials or Comp"? (It's very unlikely to be a full DDOS - did it totally cripple your internet connection & require a full power cycle & reboot of console & router/IP ? If not then not DDOS) Never think that something that wrecks the game should be acceptable! You should really be p*ssed that folk cheat & Bungie constantly allow this P2P system to be manipulated & cheats prosper Cheats deserve to have their accounts deleted, IP banned & consoles bricked!

3 RepliesThe problem is that ddossing is very easy and that bungie doesnt really do a great job with bans

Edited by BozzyTheDrummer: 5/15/2019 7:52:51 PMHow can you tell if you've actually been ddosed? Edit: Nevermind I have read the comments lol

Happened to a friend of mine on console while he was playing prime. The nerve of those a holes. The worst part was that we were playing at the same place, same WiFi. Booted me from my crucible match. They really are the worst.

Probably that one guy wearing a sign that says "Hey! Just -blam!-ing spit on me!"
-
8 RepliesI got DDOS’d in the tower during the Dawning for spamming a dude with snowballs!!!

Nothing like sitting down to relax and play a video game, only to have your entire home internet go down for 20 minutes cause someone can't take losing. Oh, and don't forget the sweet ban warning from Bungie. Fun stuff!
-
I get DDOS' all the time in Gambit Prime mostly by Invaders who cant get kills because of my team comp.

11 RepliesWhy are they in PRIME? It's MEATBALL WEEK

Edited by Golden: 5/15/2019 2:05:11 AMThe same losers that Ddos their own teammate when wanting to play Trials of the nine 😂
Yeah I got lucky, I pointed out one of my LFG teammates fishy stats before joining in. Long story short, he got pissed, he grabbed my location and booted me offline. Hey, it was worth it, instead of being banned for not knowing i was playing with the cheater. The cheater saved my ass by booting me offline 😂
The winner kind of loser. I mean I don't know I guess if bungie made better modes or rewards then maybe people would ddos less. Never had to deal with it as I don't play gambit but I'm sorry dude. Bungie should try and do something though.
-
Cause people want the guns from it but playing the game mode in general is boring and an enjoyable for most.
-
Maybe that's what happened to me last night... All of my matches were fine, no connection problems, but one just bored me suddenly. I guess they were really stressing for those last few hours of double infamy.
-
Yeah, totally. I think ive been DDOS in gambit more than competitve. I personally dont think there is anything that good in Gambit to DDOS someone for.
-
3 RepliesGambit Prime is the gambit equivalent of Comp.
-
Bungie has stated that players being victims of illegal activity is worth the money saved by going p2p.
-
I've been ddos'd from normal gambit twice. Absolutely fried my intetnet for a good hour both times.

4 RepliesThat's on Bungie for facilitating it. Peer to Peer exposes your IP Address to everyone in the game. Makes it super easy to launch IP Attacks. Destiny 1 had one console as host (so only the Host knew all the IP Addresses), but D2 is pure peer to peer, so everyone knows everyones address - so even griefing team mates can attack you. If Bungie wasn't cheap and incompetent, they would have had Dedicated Host Servers since D1 and it would never have been a "Winning Strategy". It would have prevented people from selling paid carries too. But here we are, 5 years into a game that Bungie management could not care less about as long as people give them money and keep playing it.

Gambit was running very strangely yesterday. The culmination was when a match I was in just abruptly ended. No clue why, just said we won. Nobody on either team was in a fireteam, and since we were only an about 30 motes to 10 I doubt everyone just left. I also doubt someone seriously chose a random prime match on a Tuesday evening to sharpen their hacking skills. Point is, I think it was a bungie issue

When playing the game is to daunting a task.

The kind that bungLe let get away with it.
