I hope so, but the way it was described sounds like a wash. They take away scrapper bounties and add vendor bounties. Easier fixes are so obvious that it is clear the cores exist to keep players on the hamster wheel. Award 3 of the damn things for a bounty, remove the ghost shell requirement, put them in loot chests, etc.

The things you have to go around the tangled shore collecting just to purchase spider bounties.

Ahh yes the fragment things. I often forget the added necessity to farm these just to buy the darn wanted bounties in the first place.
