Let them try. I’ll be aboard the leviathan, and I’m not sure how much calus will appreciate them trying to come kill me.

2 RepliesIn defense of the people who are offended, we did basically just get called murderers by an entire order of warlocks.

2 RepliesWhy is this one not pinned at the top cozmo?
-
8 RepliesIf the rifleman has already destroyed ghosts prior to being locked in POE then maybe he didn't need special bullets. Or did someone slip him special bullets before inceration as well? I don't think this special bullets idea is well thought out or needed.
-
2 RepliesIsn’t it already HEAVILY implied the ghosts are vulnerable to pretty much anything that would cause damage? I mean the flavour text for One Eyed Mask talks about a Cabal crushing a ghost to pieces in its hand...or was that because of the disconnect from the Traveller?
-
The next preview states that the shot that killed Caydes Ghost was with a thorn bullet. Id state that the Driftor was involved with this conspiracy considering his fascination with weapons of sorrow

25 RepliesEdited by Alphard: 3/4/2019 12:56:12 AMReading all these comments is really making me go, "Wtf?" Did logic just go falling out of Ghauls ship? When a detective or police officer is investigating a crime, don't they HAVE to investigate anybody and everybody who was at the scene of the crime? Isn't that just protocol? Isn't that part of the job? So why is the Praxic Order getting so much hate? This isn't personal. We were at the scene of the crime, we should be investigated in an unbias way. Anybody who was at the scene should be investigated. I think everybody is taking this WAY too personally. A group such as the Praxic Order, as strict as they are, are just that. Strict. Just going by the book. We're in for a lot of trouble though, more then we bargained for. If it WAS Drifter who helped the Rifleman customize his gun with Weapons of Sorrow bullets, then this long-con Drifter has going goes a lot deeper then originally thought. Maybe he's working with the Nine to turn us and other Guardians towards the dark side? Maybe he knew that killing Cayde would tip us to the darker side? Maybe he planned on framing us all along? Or is this what he's going to use as leverage against us if we don't go along with his games? Maybe he's just using the situation to his advantage, good old Drifter style, and he isn't actually involved in Caydes death. Being that the Praxic order is investigating Drifter too, he might have just been looking for leverage and stumbled upon a goldmine. Also, Cayde said in one of his catches in the Ace In The Hole mission that rolling with Drifter put a target on his back. And that Drifters "idea" was Caydes idea a long time ago. Maybe Caydes death and this new development has to do with that? The Queen did warn us about getting involved in the Nines games. And she told us to bow to no one. Point is, people are suspicious about the wrong person. Logic went out the window on these forums. People are so quick to jump on the witch hunt bandwagon and overlook the true problem.

9 RepliesSloppy Retcon. You guys have been establishing that Ghosts are vulnerable to weapons since D1 Y1. This is the minor stuff that begins to strip the lore of believability.
-
7 RepliesAh, yes. Cayde's closest and staunchest ally who saved him from death during the Red War gave bullets to the Scorn to kill Cayde then killed the same people in a revenge-driven quest. This is logical in the extreme.

5 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 3/4/2019 8:04:54 PMWow... this is basically the plot of every Bond or Mission: Impossible movie in the last decade. "The seemingly incorruptible hero is accused of being the bad guy" is a completely worn out trope at this point. If this plays out accordingly, Bungie's narrative team will be some of the laziest writers in recent game development.

Edited by MIM: 3/4/2019 10:17:39 PMSo, you are telling me when Felwinter blasted that warlords ghost his shotty had special rounds or something? How did the Iron lords put down all those ghosts before we knew about weapons of sorrow? Did any of your new "writing" staff read the lore? Which was much much better than the stuff you have been pumping out in this game. Or when Izanagi's burden killed those risen ghosts?
-
11 RepliesWhat’s with the ontological bullet now. Don’t recall Felwinter using any when he shot Citan’s ghost. Is this where the “folklore” comes in for plot convenience?
-
1 ReplyNot knowing the whole story, but what possible reason would the "Hero of the War" want to kill Cayde? For what purpose? Doesn't make sense.
-
As if the “””story””” for this game couldn’t get any more contrived and forced we get this Seriously bungie writers when did you stop caring?
-
24 RepliesThe Drifter is a Warlock? The Warlocks are investigating us to see if we were involved and if so they'll do what? They aren't going to do shit. We killed Atheon, Crota, Skolas, the Taken King, Siva, Gaul, countless armies, Kells, all eight Barons and whole legions more of Taken, Hive, Vex, Cabal and Fallen. You ask me if I have a god complex? Let me tell you something. I am God. And this sideshow is over.

13 RepliesEdited by MC 077 Lasombra: 3/5/2019 4:14:05 AMI’d like some clarification on the Ghosts resilience. We have lots of dead Guardians and Ghosts and I don’t see how ontological or paracausal weapons were behind them all. If Scorn guns can’t kill Ghosts...I don’t see how Cabal, Fallen or Vex weapons could either. Yet they have. Even in D2. Y’all need to be more careful with these lore tidbits. I can’t tell if it’s a bad retcon or just a sloppy tie in. Otherwise it’s an interesting development.

Oooh, Myelin and Byf are going to have a field day with this one.

6 RepliesLooks like D3, we get found guilty, lose access to the vaults and our ghost, and have to start again.

This better mean we can REALLY be bad guys. #TeamDrifter

14 RepliesHonestly, this was pretty weak sauce. Warlocks are, ostensibly, supposed to be the Destiny equivalent of Mentats, humanoid supercomputers capable of incredible intellectual and computational feats. Basic deductive reasoning should be the sort of thing they could do before they even pour water into the coffee machine for the first cup of the day. While they're also (lore-wise) supposed to be riding the hair thin line between genius and madness, this does nothing but scream "plot stupidity" from a character that is supposed to be smarter than 99% of the other Guardians in the Tower. TL;DR If you're going to write a character who is trying to solve a mystery, more Poiroit, less "Clouseau."
