Tried teaching the last wish raid today and it was a pretty frustrating experience. Not only have the people that joined not watched a video. They also left after a couple tries. They were even more impatient than the most elitist raiders I’ve encountered. And apparently my accent wasn’t helping in trying to explain the encounter.
All in all the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had in a raid.

Some people have questioned if my way of explaining the mechanics were good enough. Here is how I explained the Kalli encounter, which we haven't been able to finish. If there is anything unclear about my explanation, let me know.
"Everyone go to the middle. You see these symbols? pick one and stand under it for now. Look up and remember the symbol you're standing under. These same symbols will be above platforms on the outer ring of this arena. You need to find that symbol and stand on the plate. However the plate is separated in 3 segments, 2 of which will have a blight over it. You want to find the segment without a blight over it and stand on it. After a short while the blights will explode and reappear above different segments. you'll need to find the segment without a blight again. You'll keep doing that until a night spawns. you kill the knight and go to the middle of this room. Once everyone is in the middle the damage phase will begin. At some point Kalli will put her arms up and cast a spell. That's when the doors beneath her feet will open. We'll read the door numbers like you would read a book. You pick the door that has the same number as your position on the roster. We do the damage phase 3 times, and if we haven't killed her during that the cycle starts again. Does anyone have any questions?"

31 RepliesI know I might be one of few out of the bunch, but I dont usually watch videos if I want to get that fresh first time experience. If I'm in a decent team or with friends who has been there. I just ask them, what they need me to do, where and what to interact with and I'm all good, Everything falls in place. And then once I beat the raid, i look at videos to see more info on what other players are doing, so I go in a raid again and they want me to play a different role and do something new, I'll know what I need to do. Honestly if your a decent player and can hold your own by just few instruction to what to do, a video is honestly NOT NECESSARY. But I understand if it's pure lfg and ppl want elite players only lol
