Let’s talk about nezarec

Ok so I’ve seen some post around here about nezarec, so I decided to share my 2 cents. Well actually 35 cents and a bunch of facts, logic and theory’s. Ok so for facts. We know very little about the mysterious nezarec.
“He is that which is end. That which covets sin. The final god of pain—the purest light, the darkest hour. And He shall rise again. When the guiding shine fades and all seems lost He will call to you. Fear not. All He offers is not as dark as it may seem. For Nezarec is no demon, but a fiend, arch and vile in ways unknown. He is a path and a way, one of many. And his sin—so wicked, so divine—is that he will never cower when dusk does fall, but stand vigilant as old stars die and new Light blinks its first upon this fêted eternity.” —Passage from Of Hated Nezarec
Well that’s what we really know(thanks Ishtar collective). Well the nezarec sin helmet suggest that this is pre golden age, so this passage must be pre golden age. Now with that said it has I be written by humans because it is pre out golden age, unless it’s talking about someone else’s golden age. Now what I find really interesting is this quote.
”When the guiding shine fades and all seems lost He will call to you. Fear not. All He offers is not as dark as it may seem. For Nezarec is no demon, but a fiend, arch and vile in ways unknown. “
I find this interesting. There are probably many ways to look at this but here is how I see it. when the guiding shine fades and all is lost obviously is talking about losing hope, power, being desperate. The. It goes on to say he will call you. Fear not his offer is as not dark as it seems well this next part might be saying that nezarec will make you a offer. A deal that sounds dark but isn’t what it seemed. So basically it could be Interpreted as nezarec offering you a dark deal when your out of hope and luck. Now that’s only one way to interpret it but let’s go with it. Anyways what do we know that can do this? Well maybe a Wish dragon, but the ahamkara didn’t arrive until the traveler. Nezarec is probably a being in the void, we know the void is full of power. But what if I told you that this whole deal thing has happened in the lore before. Well sort of and we can only make theory’s but whatever. My next piece of evidence comes from the lore card of.....SYLOCK THE DEFILED!!!!....seriously. Since they had him on prison, the awoken where doing some sort of brain scans on sylock. One time the discovered something weird, as if someone was talking to him in his mind. I’ll give you a exert from the original grimoire and I’ll share the link to the whole thing below.
”By the Light — do you see? >Give him a jolt. ...Gragggghhhhhhh!!!! >That did the trick. >>Is he ... is he happy? ...Gragghh ...g-ggglorious pain!!! >>Memory synapses are firing. >Finally. Let’s see what we’ve... wh— what is that? ...Blllessssseeddd is the N-Nastareth!!!”
Well this does not have a direct correlation to nezarec you can make assumptions. First sylock was pretty much done, in a prison with people trying to extract information. And then suddenly he does eventually get what he wants, blessing a nestareth. Nestareth, nezarec. Not that far of a stretch. Ok maybe it is but be is a taken , hive have different ways of saying things. Any ways I have a couple more things to add to my rambles. First, this isn’t exactly connected to nezarac but it is still interesting.
The shamans of the old world were said to have covered their eyes so they could see the dead. I believe these men and women were the first to discover the power of the Void, and in the Traveler's light we have succeeded in refining their methods, in charting the courses they pioneered. When you blink, you'll know the way.
Ok. So the shamans of old tried to communicate with the void. Pre golden age shamans. Well I’m not saying nezaract is a lowly shaman , but he could beand most likely is a being in the void. He resides in the void, most possible some demon we never even seen. There is more things heaven and earth that are dreamt of I your philosophy, guardians.- -hamlet. Anyways there are more things out in the vast universe than the light and dark, and nezarac is one. These old shamans could be the ones who originally found nezarac, they could of originally wrote the sins lore. Also the drifter in his lore mentions the fourth Tomb of nezarac. Fourth. Why does he need four. I don’t know. Well what does this all mean? Nothing at all. My theory’s have now became ramblings of a mad warlock. Take it however you like. But I shall continue to research and question our universe. So where does that lead us. We still don’t know for sure what he is, or what he does. Or really anything. We just have some fact, logic, and some theory’s. What is nezarc
nezarec is a ancient being of the void Nezarec communicated with ancient shamans. Nezarec was a wish dragon, tricking them in despair needs to further disparities Nezarec is the darkness or one of its commanders Nezarec is a ancient being based of o the love craft Mythos Nezarec is a ancient and powerful psion It doesn’t matter what nezarec is and we should be worried about fighting it Nezarec is a invading alien armada. Please feel free to the possibility list. Question everything my fellow guardian, it could become elementary.

Voidwalker traveler shard= https://www.ishtar-collective.net/transcripts/shard-of-the-traveler-voidwalker?highlight=Voidwalker Sylock the defiled= https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/sylok-the-defiled The sin helmet= https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/nezarecs-sin What the ending is a parody off of= https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/the-darkness?highlight=Darkness
• Nice to see that Nezarec is being mentioned more. I still wholly believe that Nezarec is somewhat at least related to the Mythos, considering the similarities Golgoroth has to the Mythos version, Gol-Goroth. It would also totally make sense if Nezarec is related to the Void, as (the god I was mentioning in my post) Suc’Naath was a violet and yellow tornado. Faces showing pain would also appear in this pseudo wind, hence the “seeing the dead” part. They could be seeing the faces.

            Eye of another world
When the universe conspires, its enemies cannot hide. Say again? You ask, are we alone here? You mean to ask if we are the only good that lives in the light of our sun, do you not? You mean to ask, do we have allies? Do we have distant allies, ignoring our plight, either too weak to fight or too afraid to show their faces? I, too, have been cursed by these questions. What if I told you that eons beyond the void lie worlds that do yearn to aid in our struggle? What if I told you there is a way to grant them passage into your mind, to let them guide your eye against our one true enemy? That they have told me that the dusk of the pyramid draws nigh? Would you believe me? Fool!
Nazerac's sin
"He is that which is an end. And he shall rise again." —passage from Of Hated Nezarec, a pre-Golden Age text. “He is that which is end. That which covets sin. The final god of pain—the purest light, the darkest hour. And He shall rise again. When the guiding shine fades and all seems lost He will call to you. Fear not. All He offers is not as dark as it may seem. And his sin—so wicked, so divine—is that he will never cower when dusk does fall, but stand vigilant as old stars die and new Light blinks its first upon this fêted eternity.” —Passage from Of Hated Nezarec
He is clearly against the pyramid ships. But what is the deal he will offer us? Maybe the darkness subclass? Can't wait for D3.

            • What if the helmet we use is not Nezarec's but was inspired by him/her/it? It has no eye holes or a visor of any kind, suggesting a deeper connection with the Void. If you look at the way the description reads it seems almost cult-like.

Interesting that SYLOCK THE DEFILED said "the" Nastareth implying there are more of them. Meaning the fourth tomb could be the fourth Nastareth/Nezarec, which going by theory 4 could be a four horsemen of apocalypse situation. Edit: just thought about maybe four incarnations of Nezarec or maybe something like Riven were his voice is separate from the rest of him.

                • <Fine, I'll entertain the idea. If Nezarec exists and is indeed a being of the Void then we should be very afraid. Or should I remind you what the Void has also been called numerous times?>

                  • "Nezarec" is a name and the tale a pre-golden age story. but as Destiny progresses we'll begin draw some parallels between the two, as most stories do.

                  • The fourth tomb had me thinking of an idea for an early golden age guardian that was worshipped and every time he died(4 time) they built him another tomb. Just an idea though. Good post.

                  • If Nezarac is what you say it is, then what if IT is what gives the powers of Darkness in D3?
