Our Game Security Team issues an escalating series of enforcement actions twenty four hours per day, and we also issue some enforcement actions in big waves. We don't announce our enforcement actions because it gives cheaters information on how our detection works.
Since November 1st, we’ve issued enforcement actions to 1,120 players for violating our terms of service, including cheat programs, network manipulation, and DDoS. Our Game Security Team is always updating our monitoring tools to detect ever-changing attacks, and a human verifies every punishment before it is issued.
As always, if you believe to have encountered someone cheating, please use this contact form to report suspects accordingly.

Us gamers can always look up the numbers......
-
"...issued enforcement actions to 1,120 players ..." Is it the sum of all 3 platforms : PC, PSN and Xbox ? or just one of them?
-
It’s not like it matters honestly what number they threw out there unless they have a list of names to prove it, it really means nothing.
-
So if no matter what they say, you aren’t believing them, why are you here?
-
It won't help . You can create a new account later on and still do the same thing again. Then the number just add up and so it could indicate repeated cheats from a single user .
-
If you want to make a dent in cheating, prove it, uncover and make publicly known who is doing it, press charges sue if need be for tampering with your system for those that violate your rules.
-
Its not as easy as you think to sue the players using it stop being so butthurt
-
Actually it is pretty simple and easy to find anyone that cheats and sue them. Have you not seen epic games/fortnite making an example of a 14 year old who cheated on there system? Bungie can do whatever they want and can find them if they wanted to. It’s just a matter of doing it, which they don’t.
-
The lawsuit with fortnite was because a 14 year old put up a yt vid about him cheating. Epic took it down and the kid tried to appeal it. The lawsuit was over the dmca claim
-
No. The dipshits on this forum can't handle that kind of information
-
Banning is useless if the cheaters can recover all loots earned whilst cheating following the ban period. Please do not try to drown the fish, the problem isn’t that there are cheaters. The problem is that you have created the perfect incubator for them to sell their “service” and continye to support it by not sanctioning players beyond the inability to access specific activities for a short period.
-
But you ban people who ID or show video proof of people using DDOS, Lag-switches, network manipulation, and other cheats? That doesn't make any sense. And I'm sorry, 1120 people banned isn't even a dent in the cheating going on. With your "hybrid" peer-to-peer network, you aren't even coming close to catching the number of people using lag-switches. Dedicated servers would be the only real fix for this garbage.

That way we can have a percentage comparison

Buff striker blast radius.

This has been a glaring issue since D1 launched. It's obvious that the reporting system does not work. It's also obvious that your current choice of action isn't working. Send the law to their basement, call their parents, brick their console or contact their ISP. Take off the kid gloves and act like you give a damn about this game.
-
1. Can bungie brick a console? Isn't that up to Microsoft or Sony? 2. If the reporting system doesn't work. How are people getting banned?
-
You didn't mention recoveries? They violate the ToS yet are advertised on your forums every minute of every day and have been for quite some time.

Edited by Seraphim Crypto: 11/10/2018 7:05:09 AMWe do remove these. The issue there isn't that we support them, it's that these annoying people constantly spam it. This isn't an excuse, of course. I just want to explain that we do our best and remove these threads constantly. But we not online 24/7. Please report these posts if you see them, that throws them our way and improves the odds that we catch them. EDIT: I don't speak for dmg04, but I assume he didn't mention them because they're not (a direct) part of cheating in the game.
-
Not hating on you personally but... I don't believe a word out anyone even associated with Bungle's mouth. "We're listening", "I'll let the team know" and "We're aware and investigating" are about all anyone from Bungle says anyway. We all know otherwise. Actions speak louder than words. From where I'm standing, Bungle does nothing but pay lip service. No spine, no stones and no Code. Check all of my posts if this one bothers you. I speak my mind and call it how it I see it. I'm 49 years old and have played since Beta. I've heard all of the Bungle lies and seen all of the shady shit they pull first hand. They might fool the children that play, but any adult with even a little common sense can smell the BS from miles away.

Nothing happens in this game without Bungie's a okay! Then, there's all the "fly by night" postings on the internet posting for Trials carries and Account Recoveries among other things! I may not be the smartest person out there, but I'm old enough to know, nothing like this happens like I just mentioned without Bungie's explicit Okay, otherwise Lawsuits fly! So money's changing hands somewhere somehow. Go ahead! Do an internet search advertising Trials carries and Account Recoveries. Yes, we'll wait for a response.

This is the dumbest thing I've read all day.

Edited by Meowfart: 11/10/2018 5:29:01 AMSounds like Destiny has very terrible security measures in place. Its like anyone can cheat and easily like counting 1 2 3 if they want to. Try spending more time on making the game better and not how to milk more $$ out of it.
-
Making it better WOULD make them more money. It's a crazy concept, I know. Someone in firearms manufacturing summed up the decline of American industry. He said we used to make a better product so we could sell it for more. Now, we make it as cheaply as possible, so we can just sell more of them.
-
Actually that's always been American philosophy. We just didn't have real competition back in the day.
-
Well, then that would mean that the continual perception of rampant cheating is just your game playing as smoothly as a sand and gravel enema. Maybe you can work on that.
