I have 2 characters around the 550 mark and I was perfectly happy playing up until last Tuesday or Wednesday. After that I can't bring myself to put destiny 2 in my disc tray whatsoever😂🤔. I looked at the details for festival of the lost also to try bring back the spark to me but it just doesn't want to return. I think I'm actually quitting destiny without even having to try and bring myself off of it.
Edit: Wow. First time trending😁. Thanks for all the mature feedback. I was expecting comments like "delete your characters and game and stop looking for attention" or the "git gud" trolls but no. There is some really interesting feedback. Thanks for that👍

I haven’t lost interest exactly. Yet, I do find this game less entertaining than it used to be, but that’s just because I have some other games I just got into
-
3 RepliesRed Dead Redemption 2 is less than 2 weeks away.
-
4 RepliesI’m patiently waiting for battlefield 5 and fallout
-
10 RepliesImagine doing all powerful reward drops only to get weapons or armor one light level lower than what's currently equipped. Who would want to go through another week of that?
-
I'll git gud in red dead redemption 2

Edited by ShaxxCousin: 10/13/2018 5:59:15 AMMe too. Around this time I would usually continue playing to collect new exotics:l. Pshhhhh. Not this time. I’m not spending another 15-20 hours for Hard Light or Aeon Swift again.

I’m in the same boat but for me I think I’m just burnt out from playing it a lot and trying to find fireteam a that want to do what I’m doing is really hard on lfg. So I mean I’m trying to save money and stick around through the festival of the lost and hope people will be messing with nightfalls again when they’re higher light but the other part of me thinks I just should take a break from the game and come back in a few months (realistically I won’t come back tho)
anyone interested: I’m trying to do nightfall triumphs, high scores (not 100k, way higher), grind drops but all the people I get basically just want the powerful gear then bounce. It’s also super rare for me to get anyone near my power level and I usually end up carrying low levels for their 100k engram while I’m secretly trying to do a triumph or something.
I was perfectly happy with destiny until a week ago, then i lost all motivation to grind.Thought it was just me lol

I lose interest often, but the lore brings me back

Yeah it’s burnout. Whenever I start experiencing even a hint of it, I switch off the game for a bit. Read a book, take a nap, or hang out w/ friends or pets. Maybe watch some YouTube. I think it’s a good tip. Had some friends experience the same thing because they would play day and night. Now I’m just excited to finally be raid ready

Edited by Zero the Remnant: 10/13/2018 10:47:29 AMI'm getting there. This week my Power increases have ALL been from (to my surprise) Exotic drops. Every single Prime Engram I've gotten have turned into Edge Transits (2 @ 530, 1 @ 532, 1@536) . I'm not even joking. I thought Prime Engrams were suppose to always be upgrades but I got 2 at the same Power. I've gotten 4 Prime Engram total this week. (From Tuesday till the time of this post) I'm starting to burn out as I want to do Ascended Challenges, Blind Well & etc. But I'm trapped at 528-536 due to a consistent flood of Heavy Weapon decryption. I buy Masterwork Cores from Spider everyday, but I have nothing to infuse with them now. Today an Exotic (Transversive Steps) dropped for me (540) and while I'd LOVE to have tried it out, it served me better as a freebie boot infusion. It's funny. Bungie wanted to make infusion "Meaningful. When the opposite is happening." I find myself looking at drops & just going... "Do I waste my cores on a 1 power increase?" "Do I waste my cores on making my Sword even more powerful?" "Do I burn this brand spanking new Exotic on my gear so I might one day actually do Endgame content?" Right now, I've stayed busy by grinding out Osiris Verses, & the occasional Escalation Protocol. Yup...I'm playing OLD content because the progression system has made playing Forsaken Content meaningless. I solo constant Heroic Events in Tangled Shore, I loot countless chests, Lost Sectors, Heroic Strikes, I even clear the Nightfall.... But I'm stuck doing old content because my power has literally NOT moved after an entire week of play. I play 4+hrs a day and constantly clear milestones & etc. But I'm hitting my limit. Edit: Thankfully. I'm not in a huge rush to cap. I just want to experience the new supers & Forsaken stuff. I have other games I play. But it was nice to feel like I accomplished something on the days I feel like only playing Destiny. But now...I log off wondering wtf I wasted my day on the game.

7 RepliesCan't lose interest because I didn't buy this garbage!
-
Horrible exotic drop rate, duplicates when you do get one, Masterowork Cores aka high Infusion cost killed it for me.
-
Shouldn't of put more money into it. Now Bungie is giving the 1st 2 expansions away for free. Looks like Bungie is still trying to screw it's customers.
-
Tbh me too. Like I like the game, but at the moment I got no desire to play it tbh. Got plenty of things to do but I’m just a bit bored rn. Idk maybe I gotta take a break from it for a little bit and play something else to respark my interest. Guess I’m a little burned out.
-
Bro, I feel the same way and could not really figure why? The game looks great, always something to do, but it’s missing something for me. Maybe the lack of new exotics dropping? And when the F are they going to figure out how to matchmake the stinking NF? Come on already.

3 Repliesits not really the game.. its the tedious chore to find a team for basic activities...there should be a group finder IN GAME for all activities.. an in game LFG.. or even a stupid community would do.. I am in a clan. but that doesn't make things better since I can't see who wants to play what..and I can't pm everyone with an easy click to ask via a clan chat .. hell even a simple clan chat would help here.. but to find a group to raid, do the dungeon or simply nightfall is a chore for a way to long time.. Guided games have been a nice try but failed.. I tried the raid several times and was times out always.. easy first aid here: let the player actually DO something in the game while he waits.. -.- in general I like aspects of the game, but I do hate every aspect of non soloable parts since its a long a boring and tedious and annoying way to a group that actually starts the encounter.. -.-

1 Replyi'm suddenly bored myself. so hard to find groups...... should just have match making for everything
-
I kind of know what you mean. I was good up until the meatball. I spent that whole week neglecting my alts so I could grind gambit on my main. To this day I still haven't seen it. After that, the state of the economy, exotics...I've just lost the spark. I still log in but I started NG+ on Witcher 3 for something different...until FotL starts anyway. I already have the EPass so I'm sure I'll play everything the next year is throwing at us but F76, Anthem, RDR2 will definitely be on my play list.
-
1 ReplyNo not me. But that’s mostly because I have people to play with all the time and a clan. Leaving a game isn’t a bad thing. Saying it’s garbage and ruining it for everyone else that enjoys it is another thing.
-
3 RepliesThis is the best the game has been since D1. If you can’t get into it then it’s not the game for you.
-
I deleted one of my characters and started over cause the rewards sucked and I was bored. Completely understand why you’d want to quit.
-
I’m still liking it, but am waiting for Haunted Forest to drop.
-
I’m playing a lot of AC Odyssey at the moment but I always come back to Destiny..
-
I’m just sick of getting nothing but year 1 exotics
-
Nope. Between Gambit, the Dreaming City, and a whole lot more, this may be my favorite 'destiny' moment. Number two was the Taken King, number three was House of Wolves, and number four was the first time I made it to the moon :) No time to explain further folks.
