Hello, and thank you for your report. What all steps have you already taken to try and solve the issue? I don't want to recommend anything you've already done.

  • this is the same response on several posts that I've seen bungie.. come on let's get some work done and fix this so we can play the game. forsaken drops in 3 days and I'd like to actually be on with my clan playing it.

  • Ive done everything listed on the help page for nightingale, cleared cache, and I’ve reset my isp as recommended by another Bungie help person, followed a gamers suggestion of restarting in safe mode and installed game because that worked for their system,have uninstalled and reinstalled game several times, reset router...every thing that has been suggested I have followed and nothing works. I get instantly kicked to the nightingale error message whenever i try to start the game. PlayStation has informed me it is not a system error, and all other games (disc or download only) work just fine. Q

  • Are you able to try logging in via a mobile hotspot and see if you still get NIGHTINGALE errors?

  • I have gotten a mobile hotspot to work a couple of times. However I’m not going to use all of my mobile data to play a crucible game when the game should be working on my faster internet connection.

  • It's just to test where the issue is, not a long-term solution! The next steps to take would be to power cycle your internet router and look at updating your router's DNS settings.

  • Ok Bungie, I just spent a long time on chat support with PlayStation. We restarted in safe mode, checked ISP settings, set custom ISP address, restored liscences. The last step they can offer, and the one that if it doesn’t work I’m supposed to concact Activision, is this : backed up game data to PlayStation account online and initializing PlayStation. This will take several hours. Hoping this works....

  • Power cycled router, reset DNS settings, still got NIGHTINGALE. Currently turned off PlayStation and am unplugging it for 5min and will try again. What do you suggest after trying the router suggestion?

  • Game still instantly goes to NIGHTINGALE

  • I did shut off the router for several minutes one time before and I was able to download the update, followed by getting the same error. Once housemate is done with the internet for their job today I will try power cycling the router. It’s a gateway hybrid of a modem and router.
