Why will Xur no longer be marked on the map, what is the point of this.
Is it a lame attempt at giving us something else to look for, please explain yourselves on this one bungo, as I'm stumped.

2 RepliesHe wasn't marked ever during D1 and we didn't need to see him on the map to find him for 3 years, so I don't see the problem. He'll still be showing up in the same spots. You just won't know which one automatically. They also made it a point that they don't want exotics to be as casually collectable as they currently are anymore. Either way it won't be hard to find him. Can I introduce you to whereisxur.com?

Slowly selling d1 back to us

Bungie very much wants: Posts on Bnet Posts on Twitter Posts on Reddit Web Traffic of any kind with Destiny tagged in it. Content creators very much want: Anything that gets them views which can increase the profile and possibly lead to an increase to ad revenue/donations. Neither want players to ignore them as it's how they make money. So you know Community bro!!

His will is not his own. His presence is disappearing along with the Emissary's Unknown Space.

I like looking for Xur. If you don't want to then there are plenty of options for you to get someone to tell you.

1 ReplyWho cares, all his has is shit

They want it to be like destiny 1 and I'm definitely ok with that just like most people :) I don't mind wondering around trying to find xur

Artificially expanding every players playtime on the weekends.

Were you not around for D1? That's how it worked then. But there were only four or five spots he could appear in so it wasn't too hard to check them all. And with 10 minutes of the daily reset someone would have a video up on YT showing you where he was. It won't be an issue. The bigger change will be the Fated engrams not providing Year 2 exotics. Can't wait for the weekly threads of "WTF Bungo! I bought a Fated engram and it gave me a Y1 gun I already have even though there is Y2 stuff I still need!"

1 ReplyD2 launched with the idea of completely dumbing down the game for the sake of "casual" players. This included participation trophies like getting engrams for the raid and trials because your clan did something even if you didn't. They also made the game super easy and removed anything that would be slightly difficult . Including finding Xur. The community rejected this new trash version of Destiny, and we revolted. Bungie has been in scramble mode every since reverting the game back, essentially wasting an entire year. Xur being hard to find is one of those changes.
