Bungie, should I plan on using fabric softener for the new moments of triumph T-shirt or should my normal laundry detergent do just fine?

Thing is, I eat hot wings while playing a lot, and I know this shirt is gonna see some love. Never gonna take it off, never gonna hang it up. Keeping the pit stains at bay will be the real challenge, but I'm wondering if you can recommend the best care regimen? I would pay the $777,777.77 right now if the bungie store let me, I can't wait for this shirt. So do you recommend fabric softener or not? Any laundry detergent in particular? I can get my mom on this... Thanks.

  • If you're never going to take it off or hang it up, how are you going to wash it?

    • Just remember, the one cure all to any hard stain is a combination of hair spray/lighter. I love how Bungie is adding "prestige status" to items in the shop by making players feel like they've earned the right to buy it. I don't plan on buying it either way, even if I had the money to spare, but I find it truly hillarious that the marketting plan for this shirt is basically "We'll make it special by making you earn the right to spend your money on it." XD

      • I don’t see why everybody is hating on the shirt. Bungie gives us activities to complete so that the shirt is available to purchase for the elite players only. The one thing you have to remember guys is the Bungie store donates money to Saint Jude’s children’s hospital with every purchase. Just by playing Destiny and completing triumphs you are helping save the lives of kids everywhere. Kick some ass and buy the shirt. It’s fun.

              • All the previous MOT shirts shrank. :( My OG "Halo 2 Flaming Ninja, Bungie Fan Fest 2003 Ninjas on Fire May 15, 2015 LA Convention Center Los Angeles, CA Annual event of The 7th Column" still runs true to size. :)

                  • Don't wash it!!! If you do the print will start to peel and expose the D1 triumph shirt they reused underneath!

                        • Some of the most harmful ingredients in dryer sheets and liquid fabric softener alike include benzyl acetate (linked to pancreatic cancer), benzyl alcohol (an upper respiratory tract irritant), ethanol (linked to central nervous system disorders), limonene (a known carcinogen) and chloroform (a neurotoxin and carcinogen), among others. Since fabric softeners are designed to stay in your clothes for extended periods of time, such chemicals can seep out gradually and be inhaled or absorbed directly through the skin. Liquid fabric softeners are slightly preferable to dryer sheets, as the chemicals in dryer sheets get released into the air when they are heated up in the dryer and can pose a respiratory health risk to those both inside and outside the home. Avoid using them at all cost.

I'd personally rather have some banner/flag to hang. A little wall scroll even. Would probably last longer than a shirt, and especially if I'm actively wearing/washing the thing. Which I'm not so yeah might as well be a decoration.
