Never played it. Probably gonna start when it comes out on Switch. Is the grind better or worse than the grind in Destiny?

to imagine the Warframe grind. Imagine the crux of crota drop rate, but it’s only available for 40 minutes twice a week and instead of need one you’ll need three.

It’s a proper hardcore game, no hand holding, lots of min maxin, it’s not pay 2 win, has a well though out clan system, in game trading and the dev is open with the community. It’s not for everyone though, players can get overwhelmed in early game but if you get past that the game is great.

Edited by Barvald: 7/11/2018 7:27:29 PMI'm gonna have to disagree with the other comments and say that I feel Destiny's grind is the worse of the two games (I have over 1000hrs in Destiny, and about 150 in D2). My opinions on the 2 games' grind:
In Destiny, you grind a strike/raid/crucible for a random drop that may be good or terrible. Some people have reported in Destiny 2 that they have run Nightfalls hundreds of times and still not gotten the strike-specific drop. The problem for me is not knowing what I'm going to get. I like to feel like I'm working toward something. That's why I only really play D2 during Faction Rallies. I can see that I need to earn X amount of loot boxes with a faction to earn whatever. In Warframe however, you pick up materials as you play normally, which you can then use to build a weapon of your choice. You just go to the market, buy a blueprint and you build it. There is some RNG in regards to how much a of resource you will receive as you play, but if you break a Ferrite Deposit, you are guaranteed to get Ferrite from it (not 2 tokens and a blue). Also, the star chart tells you exactly what resources are available on a given planet, so if you only need a few more of a resource, you know exactly where to go, and with a certain mod (Thief's Wit) loot will be shown on your map when you're within a certain range.
I think it kind of comes down to what you're grinding toward. If it's PvP superiority, I would stay away from Warframe, as the PvP is consistently empty. If you grind so you can feel like a god and destroy your PvE enemies, Warframe is the obvious winner.

It's way worse. It took me a week to build a single Warframe. I wanted to build another, but you have to use the premium currency called "Platinum" to get more slots. Everyone who plays the game says to trade for Platinum, but the only way you're going to have anything worth trading is by - you guessed it - hours of grinding.

Worse but the weapons have far more personality than destiny's
-
Not only is it worse but the end game content is too so you don't feel like you're grinding towards any real goal besides getting a new frame.
-
Infinitely worse, unless you’re the luckiest dawg on the damn planet.
-
Worse, it's grindy enough that one has to really like the game and have the time+dedication to get something done cause it's not an instant rewarding game. The good part of Warframe is it's free to play nature so you're not losing much by quitting/giving up on it if it just doesn't fit you.

I love warframe but the grind in destiny does not exist when comparing it to warframe.
-
Oh it's so much worse than Destiny. You have no idea.

Worse. It’s extremely repetitive. It also lacks the gunplay that destiny has
