OK... let me start be CLEARLY stating that [b]I have nothing against gay people[/b].
That said, I do feel that businesses should keep their politics to themselves. When they don't they end up alienating customers which is just not good business. This game is rated T (which means you know kids younger than 13 will be playing it and likely reading these comics) and I found it extremely inappropriate to push political propaganda onto readers that are not mature enough to understand what's going on.
If Bungie employees want to support some political agenda on their own time, on their own non-business related social media accounts then that's fine. Just keep your politics out of business. I get bombarded by politics enough the way it is and I don't want my hobby to be polluted with it too (even with things I do support).
- I do believe that they did this because of pride month.
- No, I don't want to see heterosexual romances in a video game (comic) either. If I wanted romance I would go read a smut novel.
- I don't care if they hint at her sexual preference (either gay or straight), but they don't need to put it front and center and make it the dominant theme. Her sexual preference does NOTHING to further the Destiny story.
- All this was was a political stunt to push their support for a SJW issue.

how is portraying gay people in a positive/neutral light automatically and necessarily political propaganda? i didn't read the comic but did it mention anywhere that they wanted to get married but couldn't because X Y or Z

It does nothing to further the Destiny story... nothing. They could have completely left out any sexual references and the story could have been the same. Instead, they chose to coordinate with gay pride month and the gay pride movement, which [b]does[/b] have a political agenda. Its not just the comic, but they are also selling gay pride shirts in the bungie store. They are clearly aligning themselves with a political movement. I don't care if people are gay or straight, but a business should stick to business and stay out of politics and I don't care if that business wants to support something I value or not.

i see where you're coming from, it probably was coordinated with pride month and whatever. and you're free to think that businesses should stay out of politics but they are also free to add their political views and values into the content they create, you have the choice to support them or not when they do. but overall businesses will always have their hands in politics wether it be social issues or policy/economic/trade

when the theme runs through basically the entire issue and it's obviously coordinated to happen during gay pride month, then yes, yes it is political propaganda.

"gayness" is not the theme. The theme of that issue is about finding home. About finding somewhere you belong.

At what point did I say anything bigoted? I never said I was against gay people or Ana being gay. I just stated that Bungie should keep politics and politically charged topics out of Destiny. This game is one of my escapes from the daily political mess and I simply don't want politics bleeding into my hobby.
