So i have been grinding out the quickplay playlist because I want to get the ghost shell that you get when you reset your valor rank twice. So far, I've reset it once and gotten back up to fabled (about 1k points). When I reached fabled both times and when I reset my rank, I got powerful loot that dropped about 4 levels above my max light. Basically from what I can tell you can get as many powerful loot drops in a week as you want from the quickplay playlist. This is an actual way to grind powerful loot outside of the weekly milestones/raid/trials and I haven't seen anyone really talking about it.
hope this helps!

People on this thread saying it’s not worth it... it’s worth it now ain’t it!
-
This weekend until weekly reset is 3x points for valor gain! Makes it easy 30 for a loss and 60 or more for wins depending on streak !!
-
For me, the only time this is worth it is when: 1. you need to fulfil the weekly Call to Arms Milestone for your characters, 2. Mayhem Clash is available, then the matches are much faster, you have more fun, and is way less frustrating whether or not you win or lose. Personally I take advantage of the second option.

Dude because no one likes crucible that much
-
I play crucible! Thanks!
-
Because the more interesting loot is located in EP...
-
What powerful loot? This game doesn’t have any.

Edited by Ghostfoxx105: 6/2/2018 4:35:56 PMBecause their random quickplay list means Supremacy 5 times in a row.

If you're a crucible fanatic, go for it, but I think most people have simply had it with Crucie recently and don't feel the reward is worth the effort and emotional trauma it will cause.

22 RepliesEdited by TotalDramaGamer: 5/29/2018 8:02:58 PMYeah... and I can cut the grass with sissors to save money on gas. But I'm never going to do it. Crucible is the same way. Minimal return for maximum effort (well, time investment)? Nah.
-
No-one is talking about it because not many people play crucible.
-
Sounds like a -blam!-ing blast ..... :(

I've heard about this but don't play enough PvP to pursue it. It sounded to me like a pretty blatant streamer bait to appease the people who can spend all day playing Crucible. I'd rather they just put some protection on the Milestones so they don't award gear at or below what you already have than suffer through Quickplay.

5 RepliesI hit fabled today and got nothing

OMG MOAR OF DAT STATIC LEWT. No thanks.
-
2 RepliesWhat does Valor max out at? To reset I mean.
-
The ghost isn’t even cool, it looks like someone sat on a starburst
-
4 RepliesI didn't know about this until today when I reached 2000 pts (whatever rank that is) and saw the option to reset it. It dropped an ass ton of loot, including multiple powerful gear drops. Pleasant surprise.

Thanks for this post. I had no idea, and I like to PvP. I'll get getting stuck into the quickplay list now that IB is finished. I also want that ghost :)
-
Yeah umm no. Not a very good way to gonfor leveling up. Takes way too long. You go ahead and enjoy but no thanks.
-
Bcoz people would rather get real life aids than the hiv running around in crucible

17 RepliesEdited by HydeAut: 5/29/2018 11:13:06 AMAs you stated it takes 1000 points for the first powerfull loot and in sum 2000 points to be able to reset. A loss gives 10 points and a normal win 20 points. Win-streaks give a little more for another victory but usually not worth mentioning, especially when playing solo. So I guess an average pvp-player going in solo would need 130 - 140 rounds of quickplay for a full reset (I´m pretty sure I needed more, having long loss-streaks and only few wins after each other). Now consider the time it takes to play 130 rounds, including time to find the players and loading of the map (which can take long on PC). This is BY FAR the most unrewarding activity if you´re looking for powerfull loot. On top of that Ironbanner didn´t give Valor which really made me angry, looking on the slow progress shown above.

11 RepliesI never understood the animus towards the crucible. People who claim to love this game yet do no support one of its most basic and often very fun features. I am halfway to the Redrix Claymore in Competitive. After that, I will take OP's advice and grind some Valor with it.

Shhhhhhhh

Because it takes foreverz? And the ghost is straight crap. (3rd time on legend, btw.)

Apparently Shaxx cannot hold both Call to Arms and fabled rank powerful engrams at the same time. I reached fabled rank yesterday while I was doing my Call to Arms milestone and when I went to the tower Shaxx only had my Call to Arms engram. I didn’t receive one for reaching fabled rank.
