Where are all the raid sherpas?

Used to be a time when there would be a few posts in Fireteam Finder everyday of people saying they wanted to help newbies through the raid etc. Don't see that sort of thing anymore which is kind of sad. I don't have an issue with people posting requirements like 10+ clears, know what you're doing etc.- not everyone has the time to spare guiding people through and that's perfectly understandable, but there's definitely a lack of sherpas nowadays...

    • Maybe if raiding in D2 was more interesting and we had cooler stuff to look forward to like how we had Fatebringer, Mythoclast, Crux of Crota, and Outbreak Prime in D1, you'd see more people willing to go through with it.

    • Shout out to RibsExtraJuicy for guiding a bunch of noobs through the Gauntlet encounter. We didn't quite finish it but almost did and I think he had to go and lie down in a dark room for a while afterwards but I consider myself able to be a runner in that encounter now thanks to him.

    • I get tired of "we can glitch this". Scrubs don't even want to attempt it legit. Well done Bungie!

        • Be the change you want to see. Guide people.
whenever I run a raid with friends, I like always getting at least one person who's never done it before.
• Well...that’s what happens when you make your endgame irrelevant to appease casuals (and your own inadequacies).

        • The Raid Sherpas saw the Revive Mechanic and Realized that their Job just got significantly harder.

        • As far as I was able to learn while I still played D2; the raid isn't built in a way that's terribly conducive to 'sherpa-ing'. There is no role you can drop a newbie in that they don't need to worry about doing well - EVERY team member is vital and in D2, if one of you dies in the raid, it's an immediate risk of wiping with how the revive mechanics were twisted. It's just not built in a way that anyone would wanna risk taking in somebody who's likely to die a ton and cause a dozen or more wipes, since you can't just leave somebody dead and have somebody else pull the slack. Most people at this point probably just wanna get in, complete it, and get out. Newbies that die a lot don't make a raid fast, you see.

            • Most people are in clans and so do they raid with the clan or friends. Personally have found leviathan (not EoW) difficult to teach also as it's pretty mechanic heavy, have managed get a few new guys through EoW as it's a notch down on complexity.

            • I agree and I think it's just the number of people actually doing the raids in general. In D1 almost everyone did or wanted to do the Raid every week, maybe multiple times. I just don't see it in D2 from my friends list or by looking at the companion app LFG. Personally I've been playing for months with all my chars 335 and didn't feel tempted to do it yet. This is coming from someone who did hard raids every week in D1. Also keep the new clan system in mind when comparing, I'm sure people are helping each other within the clan first before attempting to help strangers.

            • Because at least on Xbox unless you search everyone’s history before letting them join the noobs sneak in there, then they suck and the group helps them through it

I dont even make posts anymore because of how easy it is for me to find one or two pick up guys to run a raid with.

            • Our clan had 8 completed sherpas... We teach people the raid most weekends. Alot of clans and players seem to have lost patience
