Can someone be banned on Destiny 1 for a map exploit?

I have a picture of someone abusing an out of bounds exploit in the Crucible map The Crossroads. Can the cheater be banned in D1?

Have you tried Killing them or avoiding them entirely?

  • In general, no, they cannot be banned for using something that's entirely within the confines of what the game allows. That being said, reporting them does bring it to Bungie's attention that there's possible exploits on that map that need to be fixed. HOWEVER, as there are no further updates that will happen on Destiny 1 outside of any major game-breaking glitches or exploits that may be discovered down the road, even reporting them will do little to nothing, as the exploit will remain in place forever more (barring the above-mentioned major game-breaking glitches/exploits. A map OOB exploit isn't super game-breaking; annoying and rude, yes, but not majorly game-breaking.)
