TL;DR = Title
Direct quote from Team guy Hamrick in the 1-18-18 “This Week At Bungie”.
I comment in parenthesis “()” where I have questions or “feedback”.
Let’s break it down;
“We just wanted to drop in for a moment to verify that we're already hard at work and making progress on various improvements (WHICH IMPROVEMENTS?!?) Christopher Barrett outlined last week. (Chris gave some ideas but didn’t say anything game changing example; weapon load outs and mods. What are they doing with them?! I don’t dare dream we’re getting specials and good perks back.)
Additionally, I wanted to give you all better insight as to how the next several months are shaping up. (Sure, by all means, PLEASE GIVE US INSIGHT!)
As with any plans, the first items on the list (Who’s list?) are the clearest and well defined. (For you, maybe. We’re still in the dark. WHAT are the PRIORITIES on that list?) For most of these, we are already hard at work and making good progress on them. (Them what?) The Exotic pass is moving forward nicely with Jon Weisnewski at the helm. (Exotic what? Who’s Jon and why should that make a difference?) The team has also been talking about things we want to see in the next balance pass, (WHAT THINGS?!!) coming to you in Season 3, for the last several weeks. Also, Grant MacKay has put together a really exciting plan (WHATS THE PLAN?!?) for Mods 2.0 that will open their requirements up significantly allowing them to be more potent in ways that you’ll end up feeling directly in your ability uptime and therefore total power output. (HOW?) The rest of the crew you ask? (I didn’t but ok) Oh, they’re just hard at work on super exciting new content (LIKE WHAT?!?) to put smiles on all your faces before the year is out... (WE GOTTA WAIT THE WHOLE @!?$@& YEAR?!?) And that’s just the beginning. (No, D1 was the beginning and it SHOULD have built from there. Not taken away everything we worked for.)
Items (WHICH ITEMS?!) further down the list (Show us the list. We’d like to see WHAT you’re prioritizing.) need more planning or more time to actually implement... Most need both. (You had D1 and a few years. I’m done waiting) On top of that, some need groundwork that we will be laying with earlier changes (WHICH CHANGES?!?). In all these cases though, the team is already discussing and planning for them in one way or another. (Great... Thanks for telling us what those plans are. 🙄😖) As usual, we are excited to work on building something that you'll love and that feels great to play… (That would be nice) Because Sandbox loves you. (Not feeling the love to be honest.)
2018 is shaping up to be a huge year for all of us and there is plenty of Sandbox improvements and changes coming your way. (LIKE WHAT?!? GIVE US SOMETHING TO WORK WITH HERE!!!) As we move closer to realizing all of the new efforts being made, we’ll continue to show up here to share many more details (Like this? Cause this doesn’t work for me. There’s literally nothing of substance here.) about how it’s all shaping up and how it will all work. (WHAT ALL WILL WORK?!) We expect you to keep showing up and sharing your feedback and passion for the game. (We already told you what worked. D1 worked. D2 doesn’t. Fix it.)
Talk to you again soon,
- Hamrick”
Bungie; this is smoke and mirrors. I work with contracts and there’s NOTHING of substance here or in the rest of TWAB. Because you’re avoiding committing to exactly what we want as a community. The hype train has left town and we want to know WTF is going on.
If that’s not easy enough to understand then you don’t deserve us playing the game or being here on the forums.
We’ve left enough feedback, we’ve DETAILED in FULL what needs fixed. Endless YouTuber’s, Streamers, Reddit users, and even magazines like Forbes and Game Informer have dropped AMAZING ideas! But yet we still get the same double talk.
Fine. Keep hemorrhaging players. And mark my words that whatever the next DLC is after Mars, your presales will be super low. I, and likely others, are over slick marketing and double talk. I, for one, won’t be buying again until you start producing concrete results.
Have a great day. 🙂

5 RepliesThe "hype train" has derailed, now TWAB stands for Train Wreck At Bungie.

3 RepliesJosh: "ok so my guys, my bros, do I got some info for you! We, the sandbox team, are doing all kinds of good to help you guys out and-" Community: "like what? What are you doing? Josh: "...so as I was saying, we want to make you guys happy by implementing changes that improve the game and we-" Community: but what the hell are you doing to fix the game, tell us god da-" Josh: "so the changes we implemented are designed to make the community and player base happy and to provide them with meaningful gameplay" Community: "did you just say the same thing 3 times in a row? 1 ReplyEdited by BoomboxCollosus: 1/22/2018 4:08:27 PMAfter all that Bungie was caught doing this last 6 months, I can't purchase another turd burger from these feebs ever again. They publicly stated in black and white that they were tired of making content for this game as it was "too hard" and would be "trickling content at a slower drip feed" AND using Eververse to make money INSTEAD. They sold you hype in the form of a dream and then turned around and exploited it instead. These are just facts and words straight from Bungies own Devs. You're just a number on a spreadsheet to them, nothing more. This is NOT the Bungie from their Golden Age Halo days, that's all in the past.
-
1 ReplyI’ve also been picturing this scene happening at Bungie everytime I read a TWAB lately. https://youtu.be/5drjr9PmTMA 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
-
1 ReplyYep,you can bet they talk like this to each other all day at bungo HQ
-
1 ReplyIt is apparent to anyone who does the SLIGHTEST amount of research that Bungie treats it's players with damn near disdain. It's false hype, letdown, fake apology, fake "fix" , repeat. it's an FPS casino now with Eververse at the hub of all the caps , loot nerfs and progress throttling. they publically stated that they would "trickle a slower drip feed" of content because they were tired of making content for this game and would make money with Eververse instead. This is NEVER going to change and it's woefully obvious.

TWAB says: -like it or not, we have nothing for you for the next months. just delete D2 and enjoy other games, but not forget to rate the game to prevent others to fall in this scam.
-
2 Replies“We are sorry you caught us again. We will work in the future to do a better job of hiding the throttling we plan to continue doing. In the meantime here are some vague statements about what might (heh) come to you by the end of this year. You won’t be able to hold us to anything because we aren’t saying anything. By the way, would you like some dressing for this word salad?”
-
1 ReplyShould they have news every week? Damn they just gave us a road map (kinda) a week ago....shit people.
The fact that anyone is reading the TWAB hoping to see some outstanding news in it baffles me. Comeback in April or in the damn fall. Or...you know.....dont. Stop chasing waterfalls... 😏😒😈
32 RepliesEdited by Xenomorph: 1/20/2018 5:23:42 AMNow I know there's a large section of the community that don't give two hoots about YouTubers and Twitch streamers, but you better be damn sure Bungie does. These people are the free advertising Bungie counts on to build hype and influence people (in general). I'd bet the house on it that they're pretty chuffed when these proponents are singing praises about the Destiny franchise and Bungie as a whole... But do they care equally as much when the opposite occurs? I decided to poke around a bit, and have compiled a list of mainstream "popular" YouTubers that main Destiny as their subject matter. And boy... Well, I'll just leave these here. MoreConsole https://youtu.be/OumXR2fGKrc KackisHd https://youtu.be/C-DYXqa4SUs Aztecross Gaming https://youtu.be/19VZFzRWdyk
This one ^^^ is my favorite clip of the bunch
DPJ https://youtu.be/1XLljFyEMvU xHOUNDISHx https://youtu.be/Xr8lDW6Uu3Y PlanetDestiny https://youtu.be/22TSBUa09h0 Ms 5000 Watts https://youtu.be/Hx99rtPo5co There's more... Wayyyy more. Now, I'll finalize my post by clarifying that I am in no way influenced by YouTubers, or by Twitch streamers. If you're happy with D2, I'm happy for you, and not trying to say that you're wrong... I bought both Collector's Editions (the really expensive ones, especially here in Australia). All DLC's including season passes. I'm a perplexed fan right now with no reason to log in except when I feel the need to shoot aliens in the face for a few minutes... Because let's face it, not many games do the basics better than Destiny. But that's just it... It's just the basics. If Bungie doesn't care about those guys and their negative videos, then they certainly don't care about the paying customers who populate their world. I want Destiny to succeed... But I just can't see that happening right now. A YEAR for these fixes... Fixes the TWAB skated around listing once again. They don't care about me as an individual. Or even millions of us, as they've clearly demonstrated... Because they already hit their contractual targets. But I'm seeing a similar theme in a lot of posts right now, and I never thought I'd feel the same way... But right now, Destiny 3 would be a hard pass based on how the show is being run. That should be of concern to them if nothing else. These are just my feelings, and they don't represent the community as a whole.

1 ReplyWhat, they're doing "things" with "stuff" fixing things with "stuff" wrong and fixing stuff with "things" wrong, putting "stuff" in the things and "things" in the stuff How is that not clear enough😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
-
I see what some people are trying to say about last weeks post being what they’re referring to, but I’m afraid enough is enough, for me at least. I’m with you on this. No more pre orders. No more season passes. No more DLC. And I won’t even consider it until I see what they’re working on and a timeframe. I’ve gone back to D1 because it’s more fun.
-
3 RepliesThe best part was their excitement to bring out stuff “by the end of the year.” We’re in freaking January...
-
2 RepliesIt reads like a s--t essay. Like someone trying to full as much space as possible saying as little as possible. I know - I used to do at school and at college.
-
1 Reply“We’re listening.”
-
I don't think literally means what you think it means.

-
3 RepliesTL:DR doing CB’s List
-
6 RepliesAnd what the hell is a “balance pass.” Bungie shouldn’t use the term “balance” lightly unless they DON’T want people to come back.
-
5 RepliesI think they think we want ideas as to how things will be better. What we really want is the details. We want to know exactly what killing dregs or completing a public even or strike is worth in xp, we want to know exactly what we are playing for in iron banner, what the times are on cool downs, very detailed breakdown of what the mods will be that will change us and make us feel more powerful. It is no longer acceptable to simple expect us to believe that we will feel a difference but, need the information as to exactly how they plan on making us feel that. In sales, you don't sell the product, you sell the benefit.. sadly.. they have lost many peoples trust that there is a benefit and so must show us in detail the product so we can decide IF there is a benefit. telling me about feel, felt, found just doesn't cut it at this point.

2 RepliesEdited by Bung1eIsSoLame: 1/20/2018 12:34:08 AMThat's what they do best. They are masters of the art of using words but saying nothing
-
2 Replies2018 will be a huge year for Bungie? I dont know, man, I dont get that vibe.
-
5 RepliesAny relevant and important information was already presented in the previous "Development Update" post. This recent one didn't need to say anything new or important and it seems they felt that way as well. When is the next update? January 30th. What will it have? Masterwork armour and raid item reworks. Expect a better rundown of what either of these entail with weekly-update on the 25th.

(Exotic what? Who’s Jon and why should that make a difference?)
Jon, along with Josh, are the dynamic nerf duo, although I don't know how they are going to nerf anything any further in D2.
-
7 RepliesI felt like it was fair communication. They didn’t give us any specifics, they kind of just laid out the priority of what additions they talked about last week.
-
1 ReplyI was pretty interested in reading until you asked who's list.....they literally gave us a list a week ago.
