The playerbase is already shriveled up to almost nothing, now you have a DLC paywall separating the players that are left. Nobody is buying it, more players of the base game will leave since you've removed content and DLC players are going to walk away in a week when they get tired of walking around MERCURY!. Not to mention your PR is in ruins
Give this DLC away, get millions of players back, fix your sandbox and maybe there will be players left when you want to sell your 3rd expansion.

5 RepliesCan you point me to the source of the numbers for your first statement, or are you just staying what you think is the case? I'm curious because a lot of people have said this, yet i find matches quickly, can get tougher a raid team without much effort and see regular forum activity. As far as the DLC being free that would be great more money in my pocket, but have you even considered how big a endeavor it would be to refund everyone who bought it? Not to mention figuring out some reimbursement people who bought the season pass or collectors addition? You can bet gamestop, xbox, playsation, and any other retail location aren't going to want to help with that. So frankly it is far more likely that your out of luck as it would be an even bigger head ache to refund that it is going to be to ride it out, and all that only matter if your numbers are true. It would take a truly vast number of players leaving to motivate such a huge PR effort and frankly I see no sign of the mass exodus you describe. Sure the forums are full of bluster but here people are still posting. So is this game actually doing as poorly as the forums see to think? I don't think so I just think there is small not tiny but small out spoken group who slam the forums all the time creating an echo chamber were you only hear your own opinions.

I only came back on to D2 because i already had the expansion pass with my game. But that wasn't even enough to bring back any of my clan back lol infact out of my whole friends list ive only seen one person on d2. They need to rescue this game fast. I feel that most of the good things that came with CoO was the QoL changes they threw in with it.

I sexually Identify as a warlock. Ever since I was revived I dreamed of soaring over the crucible dropping slow tracking nova bombs on disgusting hunters. People say to me that a person being a warlock is Impossible and I’m -blam!-ing -blam!- but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having my ghost install glide jump, eternities edge and vortex grenades on my loadout. From now on I want you guys to call me “xX_Osirislover_Xx” and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a lockiphobe and need to check your class privilege. Thank you for being so understanding

1 ReplyA giant isopod is any of the almost 20 species of large isopods (crustaceans distantly related to shrimp and crabs, which are decapods) in the genus Bathynomus. They are abundant in cold, deep waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Bathynomus Giganteus, the species upon which the generitype is based, is often considered the largest isopod in the world, though other comparably poorly known species of Bathynomus may reach a similar size (e.g., B. kensleyi). The giant isopods are noted for their resemblance to the much smaller common woodlouse (pill bug), to which they are related.

People are bashing you for your comment, but the premise is actually true. People who didnt buy the expansion are basically locked out from any progression what so ever once they have 3 classes at 305. The game is over for them. The people who bought the DLC payed more money for like another week worth of stuff to do, only to get locked again at 330. So the people locked at 305 are bored and leaving, and the people working towards 330 will be bored and leaving soon. The player base is just going to diminish rapidly at this rate. They really need to fix the problem of having nothing to do at max light level, and find a way to give people something to do every day that can lead to some sort of progression.

1 ReplyStop asking for free crap. If you like the game, buy it. If you don't, don't. If you want the expansion, buy it. If you don't, don't. Bungie will keep players that like the game, lose ones that don't. Artificially boosting player count with free content will not help them make the game better, it will plug a sinking ship with toilet paper and they'll think the numbers show a new direction isn't necessary. Speak with your wallet.

You were literally playing the expansion today. "Nobody is buying it" my ass.

Just buy the DLC you cheap donkey

Lol nah ... -blam!- 'em! 😃 They will just find something else to complain about, its in their nature

I doubt Bungie/Activision gives half a shit. Activision stock has been stable ever since this "horrible DLC failure". I'm not saying this DLC is great but what I'm really saying is that bitching on the forums does nothing when Bungie/Activision are laughing their asses off collecting all your money and the microtransactions people are already paying in eververse.
-
1 ReplyI think they should make the game better instead of refunding people.

2 RepliesEdited by TortillaTheHun13: 12/8/2017 2:43:15 AMIf the effort bungie put into this dlc is going to reflect on the future dlc then I'm not going to buy anymore. it was nowhere near worth the money. I know there's the argument about how D1's first expansion, dark below, wasn't that great, but after that dlc how can you go from taken king and rise of iron level dlc to this tiny update bungie calls the curse of osiris. Mercury looks like a scrapped pvp map and the silent guardian thing really makes for some pretty awkward cutscenes with osiris and sigira between your ghost with your guardian just kind of standing there nodding with his dick(or lady balls for the female gaurdians) in his hand.

Admitting they f*cked up would put a cramp on their circlejerk. Bungie will go down in flames high-fiving each other over what a great job they think they did before they admit that they ruined every single aspect of Destiny.

Sounds like your entitlement just flew off the charts! 📈

6 RepliesNot a joke, this is a serious issue. I tried to get a refund with Playstation because I feel straight lied to and cheated out of money, and they referred me to Bungie. I know I'm not a big deal since I'm just a single player and not a community figure, but unless I'm refunded for this shitshow of an experience, I'll never support games Bungie puts out again. I supported them for a long time, and kept my bitching to a minimum, but I've never felt my money was wasted or I was so lied to (ok, once... No Man's Sky). Bungie, honest question, what do I need to do to get a refund, if nothing else, then just for the DLCs? I spent $100 on a pre-order deluxe edition, supported your company, played all through Destiny 1, and now is the make or break customer support moment. I don't want DLCs that fix this, I want my money back just like any other retailer would give.

1 ReplyI'm just going to start playing Destiny 1, Cause this game is a peace of crap.
