10 Repliessounds more like a cheapskate crying about how he isnt getting everything for nothing... you got what you paid for, the lockout is to keep you from mingling with actual players since ur not up to date with equipment and would only hold them back. you could have gotten 2x DLC's at a good discount had u purchased it alongside the game...

1 ReplyYou can also add that you can no longer complete the game 100% without the DLC. If you didn’t platinum the game before hand ,now you must get the DLC to do that.

1 ReplyThe reason why so many of the prestiege Content you are locked out of, is because the power level is always 5 above you. This being said if you were 305 pre dlc, you’d get a 305 raid/nightfall. But if you are a 305 post dlc, you get 310 which you have not paid for. I know this doesn’t solve any greevious feelings from you but I have s few small things to push your way: You keep on talkin like they are spitting on their player base by doing this , (not you the OP, but those who are complaining continually about stuff beyond your control sans..buying said dlc). The truth is true fans bought the game from day 1, all dlcs included. You guys that said “I bought the base game of D1, played it, never played it again after that” good on you. That’s the sort of mentality that solves these things. Ultimately, you either pay up or you don’t, and yes hard mode strikes are locked behind a paywall. they also scale with your level, right?

6 RepliesActually without the dlc everything is locked, not just new content. My main 305 warlock can't enter crucible, can't run regular strikes or nightfall, can't even enter leviathan normal raid.

2 RepliesYup - you buy a (semi) complete game, and 3 months later they lock you out of a portion of it until you buy the DLC. I knew this was going to happen - I called it here and the fanboys said "No Professor Shitbag, you are dumb and know nothing!" And yet here I am, proven right while those same fanboys praise Bungie for their few more story missions, and their new public event that gives them two tokens and a blue. Fantastic.

Granted, I don't play D2 much at all anymore but only 3 months in after spending $180.00 for three copies (multiple consoles in the house for wife and her son - thank all that is holy and unholy that I did not pre-pay for this steaming pile of a dumpster fire) and I'm already victim of content hostage taking after only 3 months until I open my wallet - again? Yup - not another dime Bungie. You got over $400.00 from me for D1 over three years and now $180.00 for the horrible reboot of D2 and that will be the last. No money for you. This wallet is closed to you permanently. I understand the premise behind the DLC methodology to game development (though I do not agree with it) but I'm locked out of content for which I've paid after only 3 months? Fück you, Bungie.

Anything that requires the highest light should obviously be unavailable to those that didn’t buy the DLC Iron Banner is also something that has usually required the highest light but since they changed that with D2, it wouldn’t make sense to not let everyone in. Honestly, I don’t really see much to get upset about unless IB and trials are locked even though the light requirement isn’t that high.

1 Replyeventually theyll make a decent addition to the game and this will be lumped in for free, guaranteed. They will not sell any DLC past the next expansion if it isnt quality, and im sure everyone is going to wait until after its been played through before even thinking about buying....Bungie has to know this. If you havent picked up the season pass prior....id take a break for a year and see if this is something worth coming back to honestly. Its not going to get much better unless they pull something amazing out their ass for the final season pass content.

Meaning I can't get the achievement for Trials or Prestige! No other game locks you out behind a pay wall from BASE GAME ACHIEVEMENTS OR CONTENT!

I paid for the DLC and I don't feel like playing it. Maybe after the update on the 12th but then again the Prime access is on the twelfths as well.
