Is this DLC meant to be a joke?
The map is like 200mx200m... hardly fitting of a worldspace, takes 30 seconds to cross. 1 public event and 1 lost sector. 1 1/2 to 3 hour story depending on if you do tower visits in the interim.... Blues and Tokens from every chest.
See Bungie this is why people trash your game.
EDIT: No trophies or achievements either. Most missions are 5-20 minutes long for a good team - most of the actual new content (cool ships, sparrow, ornaments) is in the Eververse store... they put more work into that than anything else in the DLC.
There is one single part of the DLC that is good, and that's the maps of the Past, but they don't appear again after story, so GG Bungie... re-installed 3 hours ago, deleted 3 minute ago.

I enjoyed the IF, and the added challenge of actually falling off the map---and dying---if you don't pay close attention to where you are in relation to the edges of the play space. 2. The Dreadnaught had basically only one public event. 3. Its a $20 DLC.....even LESS if you bought the Season Pass. WTF were you expecting??!!?? 4. Not true. a. There are ornaments for 6 different armor sets that can only be unlocked by in-game achievements: Vanguard, Crucible, Iron Banner...and the three factions. We'll probably see ornaments for Trials and the Raid Lair armor sets as well when those return. Which brings it to 8 b. The Three Factions also have Sparrows, Ships and Shaders that are also only obtainable with in-game accomplishments (Not RNG) c. You have a dozen legendary weapons that are basically quest items. I played a half day yesterday, and only managed to obtain ONE of the weapons (its good)....and get half-way through a second. So---once again---WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING FOR LESS THAN $20?!?!? What I played yesterday, was the best expansion this game has had since The Taken King, a return to many of the QoL elements many people were saying they missed from Year 3 of Destiny 1....and the **start** of addressing many of the end-game complaints that much of the community had about this game. But hey, if you're that unhappy, by all means....vote with your feet. Goodbye and good luck.

I mean theres an absolutely beautiful map in the DLC...why not let people run around that and do PE and LS/Patrols? Just the whole design of D2 and this DLC as a whole has to be the most confusing set of design choices ive ever seen in a game....none of it makes any sense unless everyone who made the game had never played a MMO before and had no frame of reference to the first game. They have one more season pass DLC to redeem themselves, though a lot of damage has been done to company reputation and IP....i mean im not sure id ever trust Bungie to make a proper PC game moving forward. Who wants to buy a game then wait a year for it to be fun to play long term and only after several paid for DLC?

Bungie and Destiny 1 was saved by the Hardcore playerbase that stuck through there luls and terrible release. D2 was supposed to be a reward FOR the hardcore playerbase. Yet they turn around and tell us to shove it

There may be a lot of people not playing anymore like you but as long as the game continues I’m fine with people like all of you not playing anymore... 2 RepliesDon't forget you can't even use a sparrow so you actually have to walk around, for an area that clearly you should be able to use a sparrow. So not only is there nothing to do on Mercury other than boring adventures and the boring public event, we have to walk across whole thing on foot. I am not really entitled when I say that I am used to using my sparrow, and feel like this is a design mistake. Clearly we have sparrows, and they are made for travel. So this is part of the game correct? Bungie care to comment?

I don't like that at level 25 the only item that I replaced so far is my Gloves. I was hoping to at least have been forced into using some new gear but everything I got so far is not as good as my Destiny 2 gear. And at level 25 for someone who enjoys playing around with cool gear, the only nice thing I got was a pair of gloves and Reskinned URIEL's Gift. At the end of Dark Below we were give a cool Fusion rifle that felt entirely different than anything in the game, and was fun to play with. Why am I given a faking Uriels Gift with Kill Clip? Sure its great weapon, but is this going to keep someone entertained who literally ABUSED this weapon for last 2 month? No. And I did use all different weapons on all my characters. But why not give out something new and fresh? Maybe an Exotic Sword or a weapon with a new mechanic. But URIEL's Gift? Literally after everyone on forums is constantly bitched about it? Now? You just gave it to everybody? Is that a solution??? Bungie are you trying to piss gamers off on purpose or are you just out of touch with these forums? I mean when I was playing Dark Below and House of Wolves I remember after a day or so of playing i was already changed almost all of my gear. After playing with the same gear for 3 month, I feel like I am bored of it already and I want to try some new gear. But the grind is slow and not particularly fun, because most of the stuff that I am getting from Engrams is still the same. Why did the forget to reskin the Blue? I don't understand. This is just lazy development from Bungie. After I completed Dark below and House of Wolves I was sent on quest chain around the different areas to earn gear and new shaders. But why do I feel like that part is gone from this game? I know there is a new set of gear and weapons to craft, but why do I feel like none of that is clearly explained in game? Also why does mercury area feel so boring? I mean, in House of Wolves we had Prison of Elders and that was fun activity? Why is there nothing but a Public event. I also remember a cool little Activity where we used to hunt for Keys in Chests with the Fallen. Or the Sword event with the Hive. None of those little fun things are in Osiris DLC. So between the large public event, there doesn't seem to be anything to do but to go back to Nessus which I like. So really this expansion is just a waste of money guys. I don't think I ever seen a company that is so out of touch with it's own game as Bungie is with Destiny franchise. I really honestly hope you will put more efforts into the next expansion. I think I am done defending this company. I feel like they are not making right decisions, but I am still hopeful that they will do better next time. Maybe I am bring a little harsh of a critic here, but damn guys. You are digging your own graves here.

To honestly answer your question the dlc is not meant to be a joke, in fact the cashgrab of Osiris is 100% serious. The joke is the person playing Destiny 2 right now... I guess I should say jokes because I know their are still plenty playing and jerkîng off to the amount of silver they bought. Now they can be a different color everyday yayyyyy!

1 ReplyAll the cosmetic items can be earned through illuminated engrams by just playing the game. Since the patch you earn experience faster, hell I earned 5 or 6 illuminated engrams after 3 or 4 hours of play. This is just a small expansion with some nice quality of life changes. Every game company charges money for dlc and expansions. It’s not free to make and market video games. It’s a business that has employees who need to make a living and get paid just like all other businesses do. It’s well worth 20 dollars to me for the many hours of entertainment I’ll get out of it.

Not to mention you didnt even manage to complete season 1 and ur clan i quite inactive so its kinda fnny seeing you complain about not enough when you never reached the point of nothing more to do... i see a gathering of imbeciles who hardly know how to play the game but are more worried about not having enough attention... get a life...
