49 Replieshttp://www.tweaktown.com/news/58062/bungie-explains-destiny-2-runs-30fps-consoles/index.html Its not that Bungie wanted to do 30 fps, its that the worlds that they built and the stuff put into them was too much for console to handle. PC is the way to go for FPS issues. As for Dedicated Servers, some games have them, some games don't. Will a hybrid system work best? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. During the Beta connection issues were minimal for me. Will there be lag? Of course. There is in every multiplayer game. Also factor in SBMM. It makes issues seem way worse. So chill out. -Vyyper-

Edited by bFLY: 8/21/2017 3:15:56 AMDamn, people are still talking about this? Either buy the game or don't. No sense complaining about something that isn't going to change. This dead horse has been beaten enough.

4 RepliesEdited by ShmeeGrim: 8/18/2017 9:29:04 AMThe game not having dedicated servers isn't the problem (because it does have them), the problem is with how they store and use information related to your character. Basically, certain issues are going to remain unless Bungie changes their design philosophy on how networking in Destiny is handled. Edit: For anyone interested, there's a post over on Reddit that explains how Destiny does networking in-depth, and it also explains why multiplayer matches lag the way they do. 27 RepliesEdited by FL0W: 8/18/2017 11:11:49 AMFor PvE, it doesn't really matter. 30FPS and P2P are not that big of an issue. BUT PvP should have: - Dedicated Servers - 60/60Hz Tickrate - 60FPS (totally possible on consoles) - No pings above 200ms allowed in a match - 80-90% CBMM in Quickplay - Ranked SBMM in Competitive - Theatre Mode - Anticheat Then the game would be up to date and also could be considered as "competitive/MLG" material.

Well if they don't fix matchmaking it won't matter anyway. Three years and it was never fixed. Probably won't be any different. That's probably one of the drivers to 4v4.
