and again pve gets ruined, then I can honostly and sadly say this is the last Destiny for me. Dont get me wrong I pre ordered D2 with expansions. I have a lot of hours in D1. But Bungie sold Destiny(2) as a pve game. pvp should have been an after thought with a seperate log in.
So then I look to horizon in the near future and look forward to the game called Anthem. I just can not support Bungies lies and spitting in pve players faces. 3 years of all of us yelling at them to stop ruining pve because of the very small minority of crybaby pvp players.
If you enjoy pvp and favor it I am happy for you. I got sold buy bungie that Destiny is a pve game and that turned out to be a lie. Oh well bungie just does not care about the massive majority of players that are pve focused.

minor suggestion, might make your life a little easier to manage... make sure you have all available information FIRST before you mentally vomit your thoughts all over us that's just a polite thing to do

9 RepliesI've been enjoying WarFrame lately if D2 flops I know what I'm focusing on.

13 RepliesYeah they're pushing for pvp totally! 80+ story missions mean pvp
-
19 RepliesPVE was never ruined by any pvp-based balance though. To this day I still have no idea what the hell people even mean when they say this.
-
I am starting to think that the PvE players are the biggest babies out of the community

-
Stop crying and play the game.

69 RepliesAngry kids who can't shoot an opposing player to save their lives.... they prefer A.I That runs directly at them or stands still....
-
3 Repliesif you want your opinion count, then cancel your pre-order. don't buy it, don't play it. Because destiny is a fcuking pvp game now.
-
They can add a billion pve activities for all I care. It still doesn't change the fact that the game is built (badly) around pvp. Complete nonsense that bungo cannot figure this out: Separate pve and pvp and the bitching will be halved. Pvp will always be a bitchfest so at least make pve players happy.

2 RepliesProblem is not content amounts, its all the balancing decisions they insist on keeping on par in both modes. For example the exotic limit makes no sense in a pve game about loot collecting, completly defeats the purpose of doing the hard content to get them. You say overpowered, i say player choice and build possibilites, just creat more epic content to go with it.... would anyone play an arpg like diablo if it had a limit on legendaries and no synergy on equipment...hell no. Another example is the weapon types changes... now you have a slot only for shields instead of more weapon options... feels like call of destiny. They need to separate both modes because its obvious they do not know how to keep both balanced together. Tired of getting exotics ill never used because most raids require the same weapons for dps, why not just deactivate the special features on them in pvp and be done with it.
-
2 RepliesIll be with you. Unless bungie decides to make some huge changes. Which they most certainly wont because they are always right and the people who play the game have no idea anout anything
-
They took the fun factor out of the game after all the "balancing" they did. D2 is just an expansion with every nerf implemented, and then some. I bet the grinding for reskinned exotics and weapons will be fun too.

I will see you in Destiny 3

Hmm, for me it looks like everything has been dumbed down for the sake of PvP balance (which let's be honest will never exist until Bungievision is finally willing to invest into dedicated servers): Almost no customization options in the focus trees anymore. Weapons without random perks (how to maintain longterm player motivation here puzzles me). No more stats that influence cooldowns on armor (those gave players the freedom to gear towards their own playstyle and preference). Additionally, there are a lot of other things, that keep me sceptical so far: Will there finally be enough vault space (constantly having to delete stuff is a no-go in a loot based game)? What about the story (all the things shown so far lack any common sense - the last city caught totally off-guard by the attack regardless of all our previous actions, the guardian surviving the fall from the tower without its light, while I was instantly killed jumping off, when I still had it- just a few examples)? What's the purpose of all the "new" and rotating activities with the above mentioned gun system in place? I' ll wait and see, how the game will be acknowledged and what Bungie will do after the release (even more shifts towards PvP or introducing a working player investment system), before I' ll maybe consider buying it. At the moment, I'm not convinced at all.

I haven't bought the game yet. I really want to see reviews at least a month after release to know which way the scale tips. If it's too pvp focused I will pass on D2 and just play Anthem.
-
We'll see if this is the last Destiny for me. But Anthem looks DOPE.
Dont get me wrong I pre ordered D2 with expansions.
This is where actibungie stops reading. If you don't want another bland shooter that plays the same as 50 other games on the market then cancel your pre order. You're not going to miss out on one single thing by waiting a week and buying it used. But bungie will miss out on your money. They lose enough sales, they see their esports pandering didn't take, they go back to being fun.

2 RepliesEdited by TeddyBundy: 8/11/2017 6:33:54 AMThe game is dumbed and watered down in both modes...personally I don't give a damn anymore. The Beta overall was boring...I lost interest in the Strike after two runs and in PvP after two matches. I'll buy it just for the exploration of new stuff (Story, Patrols, Raid, Lost Sectors, Adventures and Flashpoints) with my buddies. Once everything in PvE is done once or maybe twice, I'll lose interest pretty fast. Another 2000+ hours? Hell no. Maybe 1-200. I won't really touch PvP and I won't even create a second character.

1 ReplyEdited by Mr JJ Rogers: 8/11/2017 6:05:00 PMYet the amount of activities getting added to PvE drawf that of PvP.

BL3 is coming out at some point. Just deal with it until then....

5 RepliesNot the first and only Bait/Switch in gaming! Destiny 2 Beta confirmed PVP was the focus. AI responses did not drive the conversion to Hybrid Servers, PVP did... That was a significant financial investment and a year delay based solely on PVP. The entire game was rewritten to take advantage of the system implemented specifically focused on the remaining majority player base: PVP. PVE remains simply because the sequel makes no sense without a story. So, Garry kicked you off his ship, and took your power. Next DLC. In the interim, PVP balancing dominates... Nothing new to see here, move along...

4 RepliesI played a lot more pve than pvp in D1 and I'm not upset with the new setup. They both have their pros and cons. The metas in pvp were atrocious, red bars suck and getiing dropped in the middle of a match you have no cjance in blows. But for the most part pvp was fun to test yourself. Yes, I didn't start playing until Jan. 2015, so I missed out on the early days that everyone loved so much. But, I spent hours on patrol, doing strikes and working through the story. However Raids and POE were virtually useless to me. I have a full time job and a family, so my game time is limited to certain times and days, as well as not always being able to play for any certain length of time. Most of the people I know are in the same boat, so getting together with people I know to do either of those activities is virtually nil. And trying to find a Clan or someone on LFG is a joke. I met people along the way, sure. 1 player in particular was great to play with when we able to play at the same time. Most though, meh. I am looking forward to the being able to join a clan for raids in D2 and maybe making the connection with a clan. I liked the the PVP in the beta. I liked the Strike in the Beta, it was more of a challenge than most of the strikes in D1. I like the weapon system in D2. What fun is OHK'ing everything with specials and heavies? I like being in gun battles, having to be able to use different primaries throughout the missions, trying to stay alive long enough for your health to regen. I don't want or expect to go through the game without dying. If it's so easy to run through OHK'ing everything, where is the challenge or the skill in that? I like not running through lobbing grenades like they're candy at a parade. Or not being able to shoot off supers like they're roman candles. You should have to work for that power, not just have it handed to you at the start of the game. That being said, I am also happy that D2 seems to be less grind oriented. The monotony of D1 was miserable, although addictive. It's like wanting to stop eating your favorite food, because it makes you ill, but it still tastes so good you can't stop. I don't think you can say it's going to be PVP biased, as we haven't even done any patrols or had but a small taste of the story. I hope that we'll all be happily surprised 9/6. If we can get on the servers... I know I'm taking a day of vacation for the release, who's with me?
-
I'll give D2 a chance. But I agree. Destiny seems to be putting the "big squeeze" on PVE players.
-
In D2, PVE has already been pre-nerfed right out of the box for the sake of PVP. Just saying.
