Forced PvP for Exotic Quests
Please, remove forced PvP from Exotic Quests or Quests that are necessary to unlock content. I do not like PvP on any game. Just not my thing. As a consequence, I missed out on several Exotics and Sparrow Racing all together in Destiny 1. Would love to avoid that exreme aggravation in Destiny 2. Thanks.

How about if you don't like doing it you don't get the gun? I never got the Outbreak Prime because I dread raiding, but I'm perfectly fine with that because I know others love raiding. You can't have everything exactly the way you want, bud. Bungie will give you plenty of loot. Be grateful you'll have a game you can enjoy for hours on end.

6 RepliesI absolutely refused to even try and get the exotic raid pulse prime and if it wasn't for obsessed streamers. Nobody would've got it and imo it was the most ridiculous thing bungie has done and to cater to such a small group of gamers is asinine. Every gun should be obtainable without having to figure out binary code

3 RepliesDefinitely on your side with this one. Mind you I did enjoy playing iron banner but that was pretty well it for me. I would only play that for PvP and anything related to PvP for quests I haven't done a lot of it. PvP should only reward cosmetic items (ex: shaders, ornaments etc.) and PvE should reward new guns and armor with its own set of cosmetic items. At least that way you can enjoy all the PvE content without feeling like your missing out on better gear just for not being a PvP player.

No kidding. I don't mind playing a few rounds with friends or if I'm randomly in the mood, but forcing me to get killing sprees for an Exotic is something I'm just going to end up missing out on.

I'm 110% behind this. I hate being FORCED to play a game mode that I hate! Worse yet is when the reward you're after not only REQUIRES PvP but is ALSO your favorite gun in the game .... till it got nerfed to hell for PvP balancing. What's the bloody point then!? Just my thoughts, but rewards for PvP should be PvP geared much like how iron banner/Trials gear was. and make exotics attainable by quests in PvE. Therefore once it's yours you can go show it off in PvP or not, it's your choice. OR have quests with both PvE AND PvP completion options so you can chose your method of play to acquire the reward. This way those who love and thrive on PvP can feel both challenged and rewarded, and so too can PvE players, without being pigeonholed into a game mode they don't want to play (or are terrible at, >.> yes I include myself in that)

I dont mind having to go into pvp for a quest as long as its something the average person can do (200 kills with certain weapon) and nothing ridiculous (10 headshot kill streak)

I'm not amazing at PvP either but get a team of your buddies and all do the quest together, do the quest at event times like Iron Banner, it's worth doing all the content you're paying for. D2 is a change from D1 remember - who knows things might be better there for you. After all, people that love to PvP have to do a tonne of PvE content they may not love as well!!

How about you just grow some balls and go play lego batman? I'd rather have them working on new things then creating options one some quests for people who are afraid of running a few online matches with and against other players.. Don't worry u don't need a mic for this! Just get over it! It's not like you have to spend 70% of your time in PVP in order to get a weapons that probably won't use anyway!

They shouldn't get rid of them, they could make it so they have two objectives and whichever one is met, the player receives the reward. I'm not a fan of Destiny PvP, but I don't think they should be excluded from obtaining a reward for the graft they put in. ☮️

Edited by Dark Raven 2501: 7/28/2017 7:32:17 AMI think that you should have the option of choosing either pve or pvp to unlock weapons on quests and if a weapon which is for a single person then they should not include strike mission like for example the exotic sword quest in destiny which is one of the most stupid ideas that bungie came up with. Edit: The best way to deal with this problem is to put all the weapons in question on xur loot table and stop putting exotic weapons behind quests all together

The sad part about this is that i hate forced pve to unlock specific guns. People should be able to win equal guns for both environments

only if they don't force me to do raids to get certain weapons either. But honestly you don't get the gear if you don't do the activities that are required. I don't do the raid I don't get the gear, you don't do PVP you don't get the gear.

How about weapons that are best in PvP are from PvP quests, and weapons that are best in PvE are from PvE quests. (The thorn would be a PvP quest, darkdrinker would be a PvE quest)

1 ReplyIn my opinion they should have two paths for exotic quests. If the player prefers PvE, have a PvE version. If the player prefers PvP, have a PvP version. That way it allows players to choose which path they will enjoy more.

No, just no. If you don't want to play PvP you can't get the exotic. Simple. Like raid weapons. If you don't raid you can't get them. Get over it.

How about a choice of objective? Like complete this thing in pve or this objective in pvp. Completing either would advance the quest and both types of players could continue getting through the mission.
