I have been a warlock main since day one destiny, and I loved the sunsinger subclass. However as of this moment, it is completely useless in the crucible, and in PVE, fireborn is the only redeeming quality. It is so bad that you cant even complete the Song for the Sun quest line. So please bungie, buff this subclass, and bring it back to its former glory.

I always used Voidwalker unless raiding (and sometimes then as well). Lately I've been messing around with Sunsinger. It's not bad at all. Try Radiant Skin, Sunbreakers, VF and ToF. Set the world on fire.
Go with Radiant Will (I think that's it) for extended super and nades for days.
1 ReplyMain warlock here It's still decent subclass not a great PvE subclass like void hunter and titan but sunbreakers and solar grenade are a good combo. PvP quest is doable with fusion grenade plus you got to account that ohk melee too, should get multi kills if timed right

3 RepliesSunsinger is fine. You're not

7 RepliesHello, I am a fellow warlock main, I can assure you that sunsingers still have much going for them. Try running a 2/5/5 Build (max discipline and strength) and using "Claws of Amakara" or for trials you could try "Light Beyong Nemisis" and "Purifier Robes". Fireborn really only shines in Elimination.. and while it is nifty but you should really take advantage of what warlocks do best, and thats smacking people with space magic and stickng people with firey space balls. The claws will help you get your scorch oversheild more often as well as that burn on the enemy. Double sticky grenades all the way as well friend, learn how to arc them and watch the salt pile up as you pop around corners and ruin that guardians career. Finally, for trials specifically, all of those exotics are really useful, Id stick to double melee charge or fast res if you arent too good yet, but if you are lookin for those advance level strats dying next to enemy/friendy orbs or the round time capture point and blunding any foes near is really efficient.

Learn to adapt to it and let bungie focus on d2 please. The more they an focus on that, the better the game might become.
-
2 RepliesGo max intellect, max discipline, sunbreaker guantlets, touch of flame and viking funeral. Have fun! Its my favorite build for all characters!
-
Sunsingers are fine. Like every other subclass, some aspects need buffs, not just Sunsinger.
-
I think you just need to...
Git Gud
If you believe that SS is not up to par, find a new game.
-
SS main, it's not broken. Bungie just took away the most enjoyable part of the class. (Becoming artillery)

4 RepliesEdited by SactownNoob: 4/4/2017 2:56:44 PMI agree it needs a rework but latley I have been using bolts. I use ophidain and memory of felwinter. You lose your super but with burn equiped and double bolts you can put a lot of hurt on people. Just gotta keep distance and bait people a lot. *Disclaimer* I have a low KD and my games probably have less skill. Higher tier players don't baited or burned as easily. EDIT https://youtu.be/EHKkOHcVCB4 Here is another clip. The first I was using my super.

It's amazing right now. You just need to know how to use it. PvE you can distribute damage buffs and self res. PvP you have flame shield and three great grenades. Self res and radiant skin are amazing perks too. And lighting people on fire.

I'm doing this quest and managed to get 19 multikills in Control in about 2-3 hours last night. Gift of the Sun, Viking Funeral, Heart of Praxis Fire with fusion grenades. Also, you can pretty much OHK with melee while radiance. I found smaller maps to be easier to get this done. Also, I got hate mail for spamming fusions while on my warlock, so that's something to look forward to. :-)
-
Spamming fusions, arguably the best grenade in the game (at least the second best), isn't strong? I'm confused.
-
If your a sunsinger main and day one player how do you not have that quest done? 🤷🏻♂️ Sunsinger is still in a pretty good place

Edited by ihateakb48: 4/3/2017 9:59:42 AMJust shove 2 fusion nades at enemy while radiance and you're good EDIT: I finished that quest yesterday

4 RepliesEdited by Ostensibly: 4/2/2017 7:13:01 PMYeah, multi kills with Radiance are brutally hard when Mayhem isn't active. I'm stuck on this quest too.

Lol what? Never heard of fusion grenades?
