Seeing that revamped raids are coming back, curious to see which raid boss was the most enjoyable throughout Destiny.

1 ReplyOryx. The soundtrack gets me everytime.

Honestly, I said Crota because it is just so satisfying killing him solo, plus I can't find anyone to do raids with that actually even knows how to do them, actually, now thinking about it, it is isn't even the fact that they don't know how to do it. It is just that they aren't even good at it most of the time. So, that is why I like Crota, I only have to depend on myself, not other "know it alls". That is my story.

2 RepliesThe hell is the one in the bottom-middle of the picture supposed to be?

I can't choose, they all have their own styles to the point where I can't compare them anymore. Atheon is 3 and 3 random team based, with everyone pulling together to throw damage. Crota is one person becoming the champion while everyone else helps keep them alive and gives opportunities for success. Oryx is all splitting up and coming together repeatedly with timing and teamwork being incredibly high. Aksis takes your team into small teams then forces you to switch teams and manage all the adds before having everyone know their role to the letter to cause an moment of vulnerability. In all, they build on each other, while also keeping their own themes and fun contained.

4 RepliesDefinitely Oryx with a good group that works like a well oiled darkness killing machine. Nothing else like it or as satisfying. Atheon is interesting; not necessarily a whole lot of fun, but great mechanics! Also, sometimes the raid glitches out when Atheon opens the time streams, causing it to crash. (I think that glitch has been fixed though...) Crota was a blast, but frankly you could burn through it and getting the same rewards as you did previously. (No Crux!) Still haven't attempted Wrath of the Machine yet. Looks good, but I've been doing other things...

I like when crota smashes me with his big sword. Makes me miss my ex

Atheon. Least anoying. Can be easily completed in 2 runs by newer players.

2 RepliesI haven't done the raids
i can never get a good team so I don't bother
3 RepliesAll in all I didn't find any of these to be actually "fun". They were definitely rewarding for the completion, but because they were all mechanical there isn't really any room for having fun. I'd say out of them Crota would be the closest due to additional enemies that you had to engage and the fact that while there was a way that people rotated the damage phase (wait till he's in the middle), you could essentially do damage to him at any time once your Swordbearer was out. The most fun endgame (not raid really) was Skolas. Skolas himself was a live thing who could surprise you in so many ways. The adds kept you on your toes to the point that a normal shank might spell your doom. However the biggest draw to it being fun in different ways is because it included modifiers. These could essentially change the method you used for the whole fight. In closing I love the raids, love the co-op they entail. But I want Skolas updated. I miss that stupid old self proclaimed Kell of Kells and would love him back. I think that whole thing was the most Sherpa runs I'd ever done. Endless amounts of fun.

The atheon encounter was always a lot of fun. Especially the days when we would spend hours trying to push him and the conflux off the map, for fun rather than just quickly completing the encounters. Sometimes pushing him off was harder than the encounter.
-
The boss I found fun was skolas, all of the raid bosses barely attack you and mainly sit around in a couple of spots (Atheon just does poses, he does look fabulous doing them though) skolas had way more mobility and danger than the rest of the bosses themselves especially because of modifiers

Atheon by far is the best. Grabbing aegis knowing the entire is now on your back and depends on you to hold the mid platform.....no pressure right (!) :3
-
3 RepliesProbably the Templar or Golgoroth
-
Guess I could only expect 'See, I voted for Atheon! See, I'm cool because I like Y1 things too!'
-
4 RepliesRandall the Vandal, hands down
-
I'm gonna be the weird guy and say Templar. Any of the strategies people use are fun to play Imo: -cliff snipers -group cleanse -proxy oracle clear I like the encounter for the fact that even though it's simple you can still play it in more then one way.
-
I don't know... I mean they aren't really... Fun to me, you know? Atheon I guess
-
Crota because I like to solo it Oryx because that mechanic is really awesome
-
Atheon had overall an important part for everyone, it wasn't just one person boringly jumping plates or slapping with a sword or randomly picking that one incompetent team mate to be empowered...Well it sorta is... But atheon provided the most interactive fights, it wasn't as repetitive as oryx, but isn't as fun and stressful like Aksis. It's not tedious or boring, it's fun and provides the most interesting battlefield, not just some whole in the grou-wait, yeah it is XD.

5 RepliesWhere's Skolas? He's in the pic but not the poll

1 Replyskolas

In my opinion, there is a line between most fun and best. The most fun boss fight for me was Crota. The best was Atheon. Crota was just so broken, yet still very enjoyable.
-
Atheon is not fun atheon is stressful lol
-
1 ReplyAksis. The fight is actually fun. Just downright enjoyable. Oryx was TOO mechanics based. The fun wasn't there. But it did feel epic. Felt like a true final fight. Atheon uh...honestly, felt like a strike boss with 1 shot mechanics. Kind of a inbetween of Aksis & Oryx. Not too mechnics based that the fun was replaced by stress, but not downright fun either. Honestly, he was just a boss fight. I guess. I can't speak for Crota.

Edited by Sherpa: 3/16/2017 1:21:11 AMAksis Atheon Skolas Crota Oryx - this one is just boring tbh

3 RepliesCrota was fun because: --He would go roaming abruptly --He would sometimes jump down from his platform and chase the swordrunner --He would point at you menacingly --He had the crazy hair --You'd fight him at close range, actually bitch-slapping him in-between downs to go invis --He never remembered to put on his pants
