I was recently called out for replying to a certain thread and saying: "The earth is round".
This thread asked users to post "stupid facts". To me, the idea of the earth being round (an untrue fact believed by many to be true) seemed like an obvious choice. However, users bombarded my response claiming that I finally admitted to round earth belief. I DID NOT!
Fortunately, this exchange revealed an interesting theoretical question, one that deserves further consideration. Namely, what is a fact? This question can be answered by one of the central ideas of Flat Earth Theory: The Principle of The Non-Constancy of Facts. The Principle holds that: All facts denote the working definitions whereby finite human agents attempt to abduce causal factors by defining observed effects as universal constants. However, abductive definitions fail as criteria of justification in proving causal factors: human agents, being finite, lack mental scope requisite to grasping the full range of variables implicit to universal constants.
In other words: human minds generate facts. But human minds are limited. The facts that human minds form are by extension limited as well. Some claim that facts cannot be both true and false. They can. When someone attempts to frame a definition of the material universe (thats what a fact is), they are defining a small part of that material whole. Each generation that creates what is believed to be the all inclusive "fact" of their age, inevitably discover the larger material factors that either supersede or invalidate what was formerly believed as absolute. Consider the "fact" of Spontaneous Generation. Centuries ago, people believed that organisms such as flies simply sprang up into existence where ever trash was highly concentrated. That flies have sex was a variable their worldview failed to consider, one which invalidated the "fact" of Spontaneous Generation. But was it "true" while it was believed? If so, facts can be both true and false in different places and at different points in time. This shows that FACTS ARE NOT ABSOLUTE. The "facts" of our age, like gravity or the belief that the earth is round are not "true" because everyone believes them. Conceptually and physically they are just as flawed as the notion that flies come from nowhere...
This explains why Flat Earth Theory does not utilize "facts" in defense of its worldview. It use observations and rational consideration of what is observed to frame the best possible explanation derived from the sensory data it is given. Unlike science, it does not establish absolutes based on a limited view of the material universe. It lets the material universe inform the mind. And this is the fundamental difference between science and Flat Earth Theory: science looks out at the universe and sees what it expects to see. Flat Earth Theory looks inward at what the universe offers to the senses, letting it shape anew prior beliefs and assumptions.

Away go, Flatman.

3 Replies*hits blunt* "Facts aren't even real, dude."
-
I DID NOT
lul temper tantrum much?
-
There are no facts involved with flat earth theory cause it's all bullshit.
-
Useless fact of the day op is a trolley -blam!- and should be ignored.
-
Oh, so are these post "alternative facts?"
-
Hey I noticed something
You didn't once propose a fact supporting your flat earth
-
If Krishnas Prophet was a Bible thumper proclaiming Christianity as truth as hard and as devoted as he preaches his truth about a flat earth, we'd run him out of town.
-
I'm with you that the earth is flat and all but how do you explain different star constellations being observable in the different hemispheres and parts of the world
-
So much effort.

4 RepliesWhy does it matter if we believe the earth is round? You can believe the earth is actually a giant macaroni noodle, there are 15 000 genders, your dad was abducted by george bush, had a pickle inserted into his anus and thrown into the twin towers which were actually a hologram covering up the reptilian governments secret dungeon for all I care, But why put so much effort into convincing others into believing this crap?

Spontaneous generation was believed to be a fact but was later proven to be false, so it was falsely considered to be a fact. Something is considered a fact(if it has evidence for it being true.)until it's so called "proof" is proven to be wrong. So my point is, if somethings false and believed to be a fact, it's not actually a fact it's just believed to be. All facts are true, but not everything considered a fact is actually one.

I have a question. Is Earth the only flat planet? And is the moon flat too?

2 RepliesYour posts are getting out of hand. I used to find them funny since you clearly just throwing out bait and would catch tons of fish every post. But now your act is just getting repetitive and out of hand, it's not funny anymore and you're really just making yourself look like an ass. Nobody has fallen off the edge, you can see the curve from high elevation (I've physically witnessed it myself, not from someone else's picture), seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere, the equator is a phenomenon that can only be caused by the earth being a sphere. I mean these are things any person can observe without outside knowledge like NASA or anything else.

7 RepliesHow the -blam!- can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you can't even use the word theory correctly. Your model of the universal does not match observation. no matter how you try and spin it, it simply does not work. your contention that gravity is not real is stupefying. The fact that a Gravimeter works is proof of this, as such a device would not operate within the realms of your deluded world view.

11 RepliesIn summary: "The earth is flat cuz i say it's flat. Nothing you say will change my mind, because facts aren't facts, it's all gub'ment conspiracy. Which also isn't a fact cuz facts don't exist. And that's a fact."

3 RepliesI enjoy your posts

6 RepliesK, so I read it and here's the skinny, people
Stfu you cucks, it was a joke. I didn't say Earth was round unironically. Seriously, go shove a tennis racket up your bums. Secondly, my logic and evidence that Earth is flat is also known as Occam's Razor but a modified form of it. Instead of the simplest solution oftentimes being the right one, my proof is that the Earth being flat is the simplest idea and ergo it is right Thirdly, you know shit and I AM BETTER THAN YOU because of the nature of knowledge, known colloquially as epistemology. Know what that means, shitbirds? Nah? It means that we can't absolutely know everything so allllll of your stupid science and maths and general cuckcraft to prove the (((round Earth))) could fall apart one day! That means my simple solution, since it's the most robust over time if we don't think about it as it doesn't require evidence, is true PS I fuked ur nan lol smd u .4kd skrub recruit difficulty playing noobtubers Zaratan the God Turtle, out.
Um... did you just say "lol i dont use facts they stupid, and im smert."
-
1 ReplyFact...you're a fat dusty twatwaffle
-
Krishnas Logic: I don't like facts because they prove me wrong. *proceeds to write post about how philosophically facts aren't really facts and the universe is a lie just to give flat Earth argument an atomic thread of credibility*
-
3 RepliesSo you're saying the earth is square?
-
3 RepliesI mean lol and all... but I mean you're run on troll jokes gotten old now dude.
-
4 RepliesLol... so please explain how eclipses, time zones, Northern/Southern Hemispheres, tides and gravitation work with the world being flat... you can't because flat earthers are social and intellectual rejects.
-
6 RepliesSo, flat earth theory is just based off individual perception and nothing else. Mhmmm definitely legit.
