Destiny allows me to get to the screen where you choose between the three characters. When I select a character, however, it brings up the following error message:
ATTENTION
You have lost connection to the Destiny servers. Your permission to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere.

So, I checked my permission settings, and I still have full permission to play Destiny and access online multiplayer. My PlayStation Plus renewal isn't for several months. Does that mean someone else signed into my account? If so, is there any way to remotely sign them out so I can play again? I know that I've only signed into Destiny on my PS4. I looked on help.bungie.net, and maybe I didn't look in the right place, but I didn't find any answers to this problem- all of the network error fixes were about wifi usage. Any answers you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
Edit- I saw another post like mine, and followed a response's link to this site: https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/12271
So fortunately this is a diagnosed error, but I don't have any of the issues that might cause it...
Edit 2- I'm back online! Here's a solution that worked for me. I've heard that it works for some but not others, so no promises:

2 RepliesI feel ya pain, it's the same on xbox. Only way I've gotten around it ? is to delete profile, do a reboot then add profile again. BUT bear in mind it's only a temp solution. Once console turned off, you're back to square one 😣😫

1 ReplyIt's unknown what's causing the error right now. Bungie is well aware and working to identify the issue.

5 RepliesFirst off, could you try a basic hard reset? Unplug your console for a minute or so to let the cache clear and then plug it back in. Let me know how it goes.
