Name: Angel's Touch
Weapon Description: Sublata causa tollitur effectus.
General Description: In the low rate of fire/ high impact archetype of scout rifles. Unlike most weapons, it does not fire conventional bullets. Instead, it utilizes a small nanobot to heal some health your allies (a max of three can be used on during an ally's life. Resets upon their death). 3 syringes at once will effectively heal a third of your ally's health. The magazine size is 15, but can be brought up to 21. Because it fires syringes instead of bullets, the base stability is at around 60-70%. The appearance is that of a white and gold semi-automatic Springfield M1903 rifle that has been slightly shortened and modified. Unlike most scouts, this rifle reloads like the gun it was modeled after.
Exotic Perks: Angel's Touch (passive): This weapon heals your allies and consecutive heals will heal a small portion of your own health.
Demon's Venom (not passive): Syringes that hit enemies will slowly poison them (total of 5 syringes to the body will kill) . Melee hits on the user while holding this weapon has a chance to poison any surrounding enemies.
Other perks: Third eye or zen moment and
Extended mag or smallbore
Edit: BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THIS "BEING ANA FROM OVERWATCH," LISTEN TO THIS SO I CAN CLEAR THIS UP: Many games before overwatch have had guns with healing capabilities. The Division had a pistol that could heal anyone in its radius. Helldivers has a special gun made for healing other players, with a variant designed for vehicles. Not to mention, I am pretty sure Evolve has had something like this correct? So shut up, learn that Overwatch's Ana is not that unique in terms of her weapon's ability, and stop comparing the two.
Final edit: Ok, you people complain too much. I changed the way it works. HAPPY!?!?

Weapons that promote new, and varied play-styles will always be welcomed with me, but in a game like destiny where you recover health quickly and automatically, while also having lots of abilities and perks to regen health it makes me wonder if losing a gun on the battlefield for a healer using something like this would be effective. I feel like it needs a bit of a rework. It's healing abilities need to work in a way that is complementary to the natural healing mechanics in the game. Perhaps you could make it a breach loaded rifle, with a long, 5+ second reload that grants a long lasting (20-30 second) buff to health recovery delay, and health recovery speed. Or if you wanted to keep it semi auto, you could make it like thorn where it gives a certain amount of health a second over a period of time, and stacks with multiple shots.

12 RepliesYou changed literally one word. That doesn't make it less plagiarizing, it just makes it insulting to our intelligence.

5 RepliesLow key trying to figure out why someone would even need a healer in Destiny? Even on the lowest recovery setting for your subclass, your health still comes back within 8-10 seconds. And that's not counting the numerous Helm perks that restore health based on orbs or grenades, etc. If you need a healer in this game, I'm so sorry. End game content must be a real nightmare for you. Cheers

8 RepliesWhat a stupid idea lol

I'm just thinking of Injection Fairy Lily as a guardian lol

Name: Angel's Touch
Unoriginal but not necessarily Ana, though maybe Mercy.
Weapon Description: Sublata causa tollitur effectus.
A Latin phrase also featured in Ana's origin and addition, and one of her in game quotes that can randomly pop up.
General Description: In the low rate of fire/ high impact archetype of scout rifles.
First off, there's a reason this archetype is unpopular. Secondly, other than NLB, that's the closest thing this game has to bolt action and fires at the same RoF as Ana's rifle.
Unlike most weapons, it does not fire conventional bullets. Instead, it utilizes small syringes to heal some health your allies (a max of three can be used on during an ally's life. Resets upon their death).
First off, direct copy of Ana (and arguably several other games). Secondly, that's a really stupid way to balance. 3? Across a whole lifetime? Not only does that make the perk unusable for PvE, but that makes the concept as a whole completely pointless, especially when you also put the healing at:
3 syringes at once will effectively heal a third of your ally's health.
Like, seriously? One punch can heal full shields, or provide ridiculous overshields. One passive perk can provide more than this.
The magazine size is 15, but can be brought up to 21.
One shot in Overwatch, damage-wise, is between two to three shots from a similar weapon in Destiny.
Because it fires syringes instead of bullets, the base stability is at around 60-70%.
First of all, stability isn't a percentile stat. Secondly, lack of noticeable recoil in a ranged, healing, syringe firing gun. Hmmm.... And third, what would the ammunition have to do with stability? Shouldn't Fusion Rifles have 0 recoil, then?
appearance is that of a white and gold semi-automatic Springfield M1903 rifle that has been slightly shortened and modified.
So, a semi-auto compatible carbon copy of Ana's rifle, save for the scope.
Unlike most scouts, this rifle reloads like the gun it was modeled after.
Scouts aren't modeled off of other guns, so this sentence is pointless. Also, that would make it reload pretty similarly to Ana's rifle, if you're talking about magazine detachment or stripper clips, or ridiculously slowly, if you mean round after round.
Exotic Perks: Angel's Touch (passive): This weapon heals your allies and consecutive heals will heal a small portion of your own health. Demon's Venom (not passive): Syringes that hit enemies will slowly poison them (total of 5 syringes to the body will kill).
So, literally exactly how Ana's rifle works, right down to the TTK on a 200 health target.
Melee hits on the user while holding this weapon has a chance to poison any surrounding enemies.
So, [armory]Khepri's Sting[/armory] without needing to use an Exotic armour slot.
Other perks: Third eye or zen moment and Extended mag or smallbore
Scouts with Smallbore are completely pointless, Third Eye on a support weapon is also pretty useless, and Extended Mag on a 15 round Scout would not increase the magazine size to 21, it would put it at 17 or 18.
Edit: BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THIS "BEING ANA FROM OVERWATCH,"
Too late.
LISTEN TO THIS SO I CAN MAKE UP AN EXCUSE
FTFY
Many games before overwatch have had guns with healing capabilities.
Sure, but they weren't carbon copies of am Overwatch gun.
The Division
We don't talk about The Division.
Helldivers has a special gun made for healing other players, with a variant designed for vehicles.
Wasn't a white and gold Sprinfield firing syringes that healed friendlies and poisoned enemies, though.
Not to mention, I am pretty sure Evolve has had something like this correct?
Ahahahahahahahaha
So shut up,
Make me.
learn that Overwatch's Ana is not that unique in terms of her weapon's ability
No, but her weapon's appearance and exact function is.
and stop comparing the two.
No thanks. Listen, kid, plagiarism isn't cool. I know Overwatch is a fun game and all, but you can't just copy and paste one of its most distinctive guns as your own concept and expect nobody to notice. Now, I don't work for Blizzard, and I'm not a complete asshole, so I'm just going to let you be with a stern warning. This is the kinda shit that gets you kicked out of schools, sued in the business world, and ruins your friendships. Stop plagiarizing now, and it hopefully won't get that bad.

29 RepliesSo it's Ana's rifle from Overwatch, complete with a Latin phrase from her origin. Yea, no, go play Overwatch instead.
-
8 RepliesSo Ana? Real creative...
-
6 RepliesYour concept is a big phony copy and paste. Disliked.
-
43 RepliesEven with your edit protesting WAY too hard, it's a direct rip of Ana. All that aside, all the crap you packed onto this gun would make it instantly SUPER OP. Not to mention it has what? 3 exotic perks...?
-
3 RepliesFirst off, copied from Ana. This is literally the largest copy I've seen in months. Second off, there is no purpose for healing in Destiny because of the speed and rate we passively regenerate health.
-
7 RepliesOnce again another concept weapon post that is too pussy to actually have good damage or something actually good
-
2 RepliesEdited by Dexter307: 1/18/2017 3:00:07 PMWhat a useless weapon lol. I don't think it's possible to make it any weaker. Also, it's a direct rip-off of Ana.
