Our mountains are in a forest fire right now. People have lost their homes and about 14000 have been evacuated.
Edit: thank you to everyone for the support we had about 3 inches of rain and the fires way more under control now.

1 ReplyIt should be advised not to use the word pray on b.net because there's a large group of people who are touchy about anything even remotely related to religion.

1 ReplyI heard someone just sold the home somewhere in Tennessee and had just bought there summer home in Gatlinburg (before the fires of course) and now it's all gone. I also heard that three kids were found badly burned and were taken to the hospital one of the three's burn was so bad he had to be airlifted to Vanderbilt and the parents of the kids have not been found. Police in that area said they arrested 8 people (I think thats how many they arrested) and concluded that they started it all
I will continue to pray for them all year
Its sad because they just Thanksgiving and now they don't have a home to celebrate Christmas.

I always pray for UT when they play LSU.

26 RepliesMaybe instead of asking people to pray (do nothing), perhaps you should get off your arse and do something that is something. Go volunteer at an evacuation centre, or make some sandwiches and take them down there. Two hands working will achieve more than two million hands clasped in prayer.

Best of luck for Tennessee. We have had a ton of fires near me, which never really happened before, so I know how dangerous they are. Good luck to everyone over there and stay safe.

I'm not the most religious person myself, but I hope that the fires die out soon too. I'm pretty close to the Tennessee border in North Carolina, and I can't say I'm not worried sometimes.

4 RepliesAll of Gatlinburg went up in flames, and dolly world and pigeon forge are really close to there... Let's just hope (and pray) that the fires settle down and get put out.

Yeah, that wildfire came from my state, because someone intentionally set the woods on fire.
