Necrocasm quest
I recently got the crux of crota and decided to do the questline to get Necrochasm. But I saw that Eris is no longer selling the item to make Husk of the pit a Legendary. Did the questline changed ?

Do the Fist of Crota mission over and over. I recently did it with my warlock and got the Husk of the Pit. Kill huge amounts of Hive and upgrade it to Eidolon Alley then upgrade with Crux to Necrochasm.

3 RepliesThe gun sucks anyways. Nobody ever used it. No buff in tkk was good enough. Its a useless n forgotten exotic that takes up space.

Edited by Dat20piece: 11/14/2016 7:35:17 AMYou just use the gun and kill thrall and shit until it finally levels itself up. Sounds weird but that's how I did it. You also don't even need the Embalming orb anymore, just the crux I'm sure, it's way easier now than before.

The quest starts with obtaining the Husk of the Pit from a story mission on earth. There is a Knight that has a chance to drop it. After that, you have to upgrade the weapon to the aidollon ally by getting 500 HIVE kills with the weapon. Afterwards, you need a crux (and used to need an embalming orb from Eris but they changed that) and you can upgrade it to the nechrochasm. Good luck farming the Knight for the husk of the pit, it has a low drop rate just like the crux.

You don't need the orb anymore. But you will need ascendant mats, better farm vog ;)

Just kill hive and then level it up. You no longer need that orb from eris.

I did it recently . Kill hive with the husk to unlock the one weapon perk. It will turn into ally when you've activated it .

It was changed. I think Eris just offers to upgrade it outright, but I had my Necro well before TTK so I don't know for certain.
