Do you function best with something that's not part of the 'Meta'?
I noticed pulse rifles are wrecking lately, mostly after being wrecked by them quite a lot. I decided I should shake up my routine and cycled through quite a few different pulse rifles, including Hopscotch Pilgrim, Nirwen's, Party Favor, my old, previously good The Villainy, and Lyudmila. No, I don't have Grasp or the new Iron Banner pulse yet, sadly.
But the gun I continually come back to is the humble little Herja-D. My preferred roll comes with glass half full, rodeo and another stability perk. The scope I use is LB Assault. Now, it's possible that it's entirely because of the scope that I keep preferring it. I love that scope. It's clean, super fast to sight and the reticle doesn't interfere with target acquisition at all. But in spite of the fact that this gun is totally middling in all its stats, I get more kills with it than with any of the other pulses I've used recently. It's just my jam.
Do you use a similarly under-the-radar weapon that consistently overperforms for you?

1 ReplyMida was the first exotic I bought from Xur first time he sold it. Used it when it was average, then it was the Meta and now people just mock you for still using it. What can I say? I love the sound of that stapler doing work.

I used vex for the longest time, even after the nerfs, then went hardlight. Now I just mix it up with whatever I'm feeling at the moment.

If I'm in a position where I had to choose one primary to confidently get a kill with, it would be Zhalo. I can't explain why I love it so much, but I do. It just works for me! EDIT: Please for the love of everything holy Bungie, don't you dare Nerf Zhalo. Deal with the bigger problems.

Is Lingering Song meta? I have the most success with it. I feel like it has 95 aim assist, lol. And that impact. Ooowee!

1 ReplyI very much like the PDX-41, which is a slower version of the PDX-45 that deals greater damage from a farther range. Haven't used it much as of late but the 41 is certainly not bad.

I get SUPER bored using the same primary all the time so I like to go back to my vault and compare stats with guns I held on to for whatever reason and try something new/different. I have an Aegis of The Reef Pulse with stability god rolls that ended up being a super fun alternative last iron banner. I got a Clever Dragon but even with great rolls it feels underwhelming so I've got a couple others I'm going to try instead.

1 ReplyAs someone who just started exploring PVP with my Titan I feel safest with my auto that i have learnt to handle ok. Sometimes i try and be cool and switch to some weapon that is suppose to be meta aweseome according to forum posts but that just ends up in chaos. Lol. Im not meta anything until i get better at this!
