Title
Edit 4:
So, I have read many peoples' posts saying that Bungie should charge money for additional Vault Space.
I have created a poll below to see what everybody thinks about this suggestion.
IMHO paying for vault space (if you need it or are willing to pay) would be a better investment than the RNG loot packages that are currently on-sale at Eververse.
Here is the link to the poll: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/217116844
Edit 3:
In response to the people that don't need vault space, and have played since vanilla.
1. That's great, I'm happy for you. But please don't tell me or anyone else how to play the game (to delete stuff or to not be a hoarder/collector). As said below this is a loot based game so we should have a place to store our loot.
2. Increasing vault space has absolutely no negative effect on you, so please just go be toxic somewhere else.
Edit 1:
1. In response to "In Vanilla, we only had 20 spaces in the vault." You are correct, however....
A. In vanilla there was much less legendary gear.
B. Although there was only 20 spots in the vault, we have inventory space on each character. 27 spaces for weapons on each character totaling 81 spaces for weapons. 45 spaces for armor per character, totaling 135 armor spaces. So 20+81+135= 236 total inventory spaces in Vanilla.
C. Year 3 total inventory space for weapons and armor... 108 (vault armor) + 108 {vault weapons) + 81 + 135= 432 total inventory spaces for armor and weapons.
Bottom Line: 236 spaces to start was actually very good. But now we don't have even double that amount of space (432), but the game, loot, and content has more than doubled. In the beginning we had 1 Raid, now we have 4.
2. In response to the people saying "delete your stuff":
This is a loot based game, A majority of people play the game for the Loot. When Bungie brings back old strikes, why do we play them? Answer: for the New Loot. We should not have to delete our loot, to make room for new loot, that's just asinine.
Edit 2:
3. Many of us have already deleted all Exotics (because you can get them back w/ Kiosk) and duplicate weapons/armor, I currently have no exotics in the vault. I have 9 Exotic Weapons across all 3 characters in inventory. And 6 exotic Armor pieces across all 3 characters in inventory. I keep no duplicates at all.

With the amount of money we paid. We should get free vault space. Charge for vault space? lol No.

Bump.

1 ReplyWhy u need more vault space ? To store the same weapons over and over since yr 1 ?
-
1 ReplyEdited by SuperChewer: 11/2/2016 12:15:43 AM*bungie increases it* "Nice" *1 month later* "We need more vault space" Don't get me wrong more vault space is nice, but I think it's time to reorganize if people are still complaining
-
39 RepliesAnyone still asking for vault space at this point is a spoiled brat. They increased it like 5 times. You kids are literally never happy. Every time they increase it I see a post asking for more. It's not infinite, bruh. Stop crying
-
2 RepliesPlease bungie give these kids more vault space so they can stock pile all that wonderful crap gear and armor that they will never ever use so this op will stop posting garbage like this please bungie help them out
-
Bungie said before RoI that a vault space update would come. It's most likely coming in for the Winter update.
-
With the anext pril update you will get new 'folded space time loot boxes' that can be purchased at Everworse! You will get a random number of new spaces in one of the three categories. You can also win a picture of Luke Smiths and DeeJs ass.

Edited by Moleman in the morning: 11/1/2016 11:10:14 PMWhat is the logic for paying for vault space ? That would be to purely put money in bungies pocket, and after their disappointing and scummy festival of the lost micro transaction focus it is a ridiculous suggestion
-
PS4 and Xbox one have 16 times more RAM (8 GB) then last gen (0.5 GB), yet on Destiny, the vault space is still the same with no additional vault space to newer gen. I think Bungie is still not using all the extra RAM that is available to newer gen.
-
4 RepliesIt's called hover over an item and hold square down.
-
2 RepliesBungie Staff: "Add more vault space, or go get pizza?" .............. "Yep, pizza it is."
-
2 RepliesThey should make a personal vault for each character then have one like they do now to transfer between characters

Link does not work for me

"You don't NEED to hold onto those cool weapons. You don't NEED more vault space" To that I say, you don't need anything in this game. I could get to 385 on blues alone and still get the damn hard raid done with a good team. It is low priority, yes. But if we're going to base things off of needs and wants then just go somewhere else. Do we NEED dedicated servers? Hell no! You know why? Because we've been surviving for 3 years without it. "Oh, but... but... we do kind of need..." No you don't! You realize practically every single topic on here is a want, right? Not a necessity. We don't NEED balance in PvP. We don't NEED more ways to get treasures. We don't NEED new content. We don't NEED to reduce shotgun range. We don't NEED matchmaking. We don't even NEED LFG. Go find someone in the tower you lazy person. Need is such a dumb term for a flipping video game. So if you're going to base need off of one thing and not another then go somewhere else. The only thing you could ever need is to get good. Obviously... because everything else we don't need. So if you don't need vault space you better not be needing anything else. #satire -- Or, you could just want more vault space... or any of the items mentioned above. And suddenly you don't sound stupid.
-
think I already commented but Idk where so I'll comment again. easy fix for vault space: if you want more space, make it available via microtransactions destiny 2 comes out in 2017. this far in the game there is no need for more vault space.

4 RepliesEdited by SquirrelEarl07: 11/1/2016 1:59:50 AMI play quite a bit. I have multiple sets of armor for each character, due to different T11 and T12 setups for both PvE and PvP. Plus, when you take into account... *Different burns each week: I need sets for each subclass *Different play styles: Different exotics that promote grenade, super, or melee uses >Sets for different builds (int/disc/str) >Sets for each subclass *Gauntlets that speed load for each primary *Different extra ammo perks shotgun+machine gun for PvP, and sniper+rocket launcher for PvE. These are just a few examples of the different armor I use. For weapons: I switch weapons all the time. I have multiple weapons with so called "God Rolls". I use different weapons for PvP and PvE. I'm not someone that sticks to one subclass, one set of weapons, and one set of armor. I get bored easy. I'm constantly switching things around. Plus, it takes a lot of motes to level up exotic armor (around 80 for each piece I think). Sometimes, it also takes a ton of glass needless to get the perfect roll on exotic armor. Once I do get a good roll on exotic armor, I'm not wasting all of those motes and needles by deleting it. I haven't even mentioned my "nostalgic" gear yet, like my VoG gear, Ice Breaker, year 1 "God Roll" weapons that I can't get anymore. If you're someone who uses 1 set of armor, one subclass, and 1 set of weapons... kudos to you, I guess, but I'd get bored and feel extremely limited by doing that. My vault and inventory is almost always full, and I'm constantly deleting things, things that I always really wish I didn't have to. They are things that are really good and I still want to use, but won't get to anymore, because I've got to delete them, in order to keep new things that I've gotten that are really good. We definitely need more vault space!

I'm good on space if Bungie removes the planet mat stack limit. Those weapons I haven't touched since Vanilla, dismantled... Same with most of the armor. Gear I stashed "because I might use it someday" but never did, gone. No regrets. Have a full page available on weapons/armor... Nothing available on general
damn factions not taking spinmetal again
-
I still haven't filled up a page
-
Well thanks for giving them THAT -blam!-ing idea. Absolutely no way we get free additional vastly space now.
-
6 RepliesThe morons who chastise us for "hoarding" are like those kids in school who no one liked that constantly reminded the teacher when they didn't give out homework.
-
Sure I suppose. It's nowhere near important anymore now that we can just pull things from the walls, but it's not negative so yeah. Low priority.
-
Edited by sargetc: 11/1/2016 9:08:45 PMGreat post, and you pretty much pwned all the toxic people. Keep up the good fight. PS Bungie made a FORTUNE on Festival of the Co$t.. use a portion of that to fund some programmers to address an issue that players (except a few toxic people who probably don't play the game much) have been asking for. 'We are Bungie. Please give us your feedback, we will be listening.' Well, there it is Bungie.. message hasn't change since last Spring.
-
Up vote! Especially armor! I don't need vault space for my consumables, but armor is very collectible to me.

I am not going to bother anyone w/ a long email and math but I see folks stating they have 3 characters and have all Raid items and still do not have a Vault Space problem. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I have 3 different characters. I have already had to delete items I liked a lot, including Raid gear. I am now at the point that I have 2-4 slots available on each section of the vault. I have been focusing on my Hunter in Rise of Iron and using the Titan and Warlock as vault. I am desperate for Vault Space! I have posted many request for Vault Space to Bungie on this Forum with a lot of support. For the ones who do not want it or need it, good for you but do not come telling to what seems the large portion of Destiny Community that they are wrong. More Vault Space? Yes, please (yesterday).
