Pretty much hits the nail on the head, at least for me.
Add to that list cheaters, the usual lag, and streamers doing carries all weekend & it becomes clear Trials needs some serious work.
It's been said Bungie pays attention, so like this if you agree.

Funny that I don't run into much lag or cheaters. I've been cheated once or twice in Trials since it's been around...and lag is just something that rarely decides if I'm gonna win or lose that game. Sure, I might die to someone who I think I should've killed...but in the end I still win the game.

2 RepliesMTASH sounds like a whiney asshat is a more appropriate title. Trials is trash for a lot of legitimate reasons. But most of what MTASH mentions is him being super duper salty.
-
Where was this video back when Sniper Rifles were overused? Oh right, he mained a Sniper Rifle and saw no problems with the game mode being campy if it involved his Special Weapon type of choice.
-
"Im not having fun with Trials anymore"-Mtashed Maybe........Just MAYBE Mtash.......Its because youve played Trials nonstop since its came out running Last word sniper non stop doing the same exact things yourself
-
Trials has always been bad. It's never been competitive, either. I don't need to read a clickbaity YouTube video to know that.
-
7 RepliesJust saying that, this mtashed dude does nothing but bitch and moan. I really don't understand why some people play this game when they seem to derive zero enjoyment out of it.

2 RepliesEdited by Chubbums: 10/27/2016 11:33:12 PMLOL! What a -blam!-ing hypocrite. Just mad he can't get easy kills on people, assumes because his team is controlling an area he should have the advantage and easy win. Assumes he should be able to fight multiple enemies and end up victorious. God damn these streamers and their dick riding followers are dumb af. He's basically crying about how the enemy team doesn't run to his team and hands over free kills. The irony in crying about immunity frames but not mentioning shadestep... "oh my god these guys are such pussies they never push, what's taking them so long to come to us? It's not like we have an advantage when the enemies engage us on our terms..." idiot

27 RepliesLol mtash. Biggest crybaby in destiny

2 RepliesIn no way am I trying to disrespect this guy. But I feel like the first point he made about how Trials is slow and boring with a lot of camping and no pushing until someone gets a pick is completely irrelevant. I feel like elimination game modes are nothing but camping in any shooter. I get that you want to have fun but maybe it's not Trials that's the problem. Maybe people like me and you that think this about Trials are the problem. Maybe Bungie needs to give PvP players like ourselves a different event that's more fast paced and more rewarding than normal PvP. Oh wait, we have Iron Banner! I forgot, but wait, we only get that once a month. So maybe there needs to be a tournament style game mode just like Trials where you get a ticket and have to get a certain amount of wins and losses, but instead it's a rotating 6v6 playlist. A tournament style playlist of Rift, Control, and Clash all in one playlist with a lighthouse-like reward for achieving a certain goal. 6v6, for us players that need things to move a little faster in game.

7 RepliesThere's one he forgot: Streamers. Streamers are makimg it shit too. And honestly, if bungo just adjusted MM settings itd be much better. 1 lighthouse trip per character. Once youve hit flawless, you get matched up with flawless people only.

2 RepliesEdited by SandeyRavage: 10/28/2016 12:57:18 AMGuess I've been living under a rock, but who's mtashed? I get all my destiny media from tefty, holtzman, planetdestiny, say no to rage, golathian, lucky/bw, and byf. I've heard of crafty, but he won't step outside of trials, so I don't follow him.

Great rant, interesting to see these issues expressed from the perspective of a player of your caliber. I like how mobile you are during games and I agree with your thoughts on static sniping lanes and revive buff frustrations, however to some extent I (in my humble opinion) must say that it can, if planned properly be just another evolution in strategy. I must say however, observing the red bar on your team may undermine your integrity to some degree. I have managed a 1.3 ave KD through 2016 and am no where near good enough for trials, so I play a fair bit of crucible to pass the time and I have notice this one truth.. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I find myself playing against fire teams of two or more players (usually 3) - if there is a red bar on the fire team all of members of the group take more damage and do not align in the same instance as the opponent - I see it every time I play and detest it, so much so that I refuse to play with mates when I observe latency in our fire team - and don't get me started on streamers. Anyway, I for one am grateful for your presence in our community and just remember if I find myself in a game opposing you, I'm going to quit out - Just sayin' -
Agreed. Signed

"Nobody pushes anymore in trials" He also mentions revives as unbalanced once again because of the shield. Never mind the fact that he is running last word and sniping almost the entire video. He should change his GT to Mtash Potatoe. What a crybaby hypocrite. 😂
-
He also said he wants year one meta back. So I just take his opinions as wrong now.

Edited by PSD: 10/28/2016 12:39:12 AMI seriously have no problem with trials or streamers laggers ECT. I beat them, then watch their stream with me in it lol. I didn't watch the attached vid nor do I give a s$$t what mtrash has to say. Trying to manipulate bungie with reviews ain't gonna work this time. Unless bungie is paying this kids to shut up and say good things . I have nothing against anyone. Trials , here I come tomorrow. Bring on the ddosers and laggers. Bring on the streamers and account recoveries. I think it adds to the mix. Kind of like bungie's RNG or forest gumps chocolate box or the latest FOTL interactive storefront .

1 ReplyThis guy complains without thinking things through clearly. His bitching about immunity frames is because of rift and players were getting spawn killed against good squads. So thats why it was added in. The fact that they give overshields is to incentivize players to try and get revives. If you remove them or lengthen the time even more then players will simply ignore the revive and trials will become even slower. Like seriously if it bothers you so much when you get a guy down rush the orb so they CANT get the revive. DUH?!?!
-
He only talked about like three things he thinks is wrong with ToO, theres a shit tone of thing wrong with ToO(hell PvP). I wish I could go to the lighthouse and still bitch because people arn't feeding me kills.

Edited by Nëfërātā: 10/27/2016 11:03:37 PMAs commented on the video I believe that trials should be a best out of 3 salvage mode? U got rotating action and people would stick with shotguns and snipers. And they get to run around and not just camp the spawn.
-
What he or other top tier pvpers aren't complaining about is the most annoying: the mode is not COMPETITIVE at all. Competitive means you're playing players of like skill ALL GAMES. I played D2 college ball, if I played 9 straight games against single A high school teams and won them all I WOULD NOT BE BRAGGING! I.e., I've been flawless b cause I got ultra lucky a few times and played all wack teams. I couldn't believe it because I suck at destiny pvp. But I was a top 5% tank in season 1 overwatch, where the games are objective based and balanced on skill level.
-
1 Replyim 99% trials has been basically the same since it came out
-
On the revive subject, because he does have a point there, don't remove the immunity. Change the revive system to where the player reviving doesn't get an overshield, and the person getting revived gets a weaker overshield to help him move so he isn't picked immediately but also isn't able to push someone. Reviving shouldn't be about getting a quick overshield, it should be about increasing your numbers against the enemy and that in itself is rewarding enough.

"Trials is ass now". No, it HAS always been the ultimative horror and it WILL BE exactly that forever, atleast for me.

6 RepliesAs a streamer, he doesn't see the one huge, glaring, ginormous real problem with Trials which is that it's becoming more and more sweaty because normal players aren't being incentivized to play. I'm not saying that we need to make it easy to make it to the Lighthouse, I'm saying that winning 9 games in a row (7 with boons) is difficult in and of itself. Making each game get increasingly more sweaty is stretching out the connections, and you're not only fighting tougher opponents, you're fighting more and more lag. This makes it less of a competition of who has the better players, and more of a competition of who can snag host. It's RN-friggin-G. 7 wins should be 7 wins. If you get lucky, and get your 7 wins against bad teams, so be it, you still had to play your heart out to win all 7. If you get unlucky and get matched against a WishYouLuck trials carry, tough, you have a mercy or you can start over.

Is this video from after RoI drop? Hardscoping problem? Does he look at the stat use of guns at all? Since the sniper nerf, shotgun usage has skyrocketed by 20-30% more depending on map with sniper use plummeting 10-30% depending on map. Just scroll through DestinyTrialsReport past weekends and maps and notice the huge shift. I won't deny that camping, hardscoping asshats were annoying AF in trials before the update, but it's actually sad when maps that were far more sniper oriented (e.g., Burning Shrine vs Twilight Gap's more close-quarter orientation) start have a 15% higher shotgun usage over snipers. This rant would have made more sense about 3-5 months ago, but wtf now? Has he played trials in the last 4 weeks? Frankly, it was a lot easier to stomp asshat camping hardscopers than it is to deal with constant shotgun craze with matador snipes. Trials is all about Pulse Rifles and Shotguns right now. There is no balance or variety, because Bungie doesn't know how to do that.
