RISE OF IRON FROM GAMESTOP. EVERY PERSON WHO PRE-ORDERED FROM IT SHOULD READ
Hello Guardians.
Just a very important notice for people who preordered from gamestop. The code isn't for ROI. It's for a $30 xbox card. What u have to do is:
1. Enter Code
2. Launch destiny and pick a character.
3. Go to map
4. Press the Rise Of Iron symbol.
5. Press purchase.
6. Follow on screen instructions.
7. Now you have ur pre-ordered
I hoped this helps some of you because when I pre-ordered I didn't know. If I had done the codes on ROI launch I wouldn't get pre-order bonuses. I don't want that to happen to anyone so spread the word!

I got 3 sets of codes. One was for rise of iron (or the 30 bucks to buy it in game) then one for the sparrow and the last for the Gjallarhorn. Once I bought the expansion in game using the first code, both pre order bonuses were already in my postmaster without me having to enter the last codes. Now I have two extra pre order codes. Anyone else have this happen to them? I think gamestop goofed this one hard. Other friends I've spoken to say that this happened to them as well.

Seems redundant and caused lots of people to screw them selves out of a pre-order . This would be disguting by Game stop if they didn't properly educate the consumer who physically went out to buy a code. Sorry people. Will you be pre ordering with game stop the next time?

like me, and others, when trying to buy rise of iron it would say "query failed". that's because you do not own ttk. i game shared with my friend to get ttk but i didn't know you needed it until it was too late. but then i got another $30 dollars and went onto his account and bought it through there and had it. i'm sorry for anyone who can't do that. but if you didn't know why you were getting "query failed", now you know.

1 ReplyIf only I had found this post before Gamestop screwed me over. Apparently you need to have bought ttk with the account you're making the purchase with because rise was shown as unavailable in the Xbox store for me.

I pre ordered via GameStop and on Monday I got an email with a code to add $30 to my Microsoft account then quickly bought the preorder. I got Xbox points & GameStop reward points too! I got a gally and gally bike from Xbox and hours ago GameStop sent me two codes for a gally & galleybike! Now two characters have the goodies. However, hearing about people unable to preorder via Xbox last night (Xbox removed it in the late evening) I'll never take the chance again!

If you own the taken King. You have to go through the game map and press on the icon to purchase rise of iron. Has to be done while you're taken King is running.

PS4 pre-order from GameStop gave me 3 codes just like I expected it would. Problem must be only for MS players.

When I clicked the redeem link, it automatically loaded the credit onto an account that I haven't touched in ten years. There was no way to get the money back, beware.

5 RepliesI preordered from gamestop for ps4 and when I entered the code it said "Rise of Iron preload" with the options of confirm or cancel. I pressed confirm and then entered the codes for iron gjally and iron gjally sparrow. No issues.

I stopped bothering with Gamestop, the Xbox Store is far simpler for pre-ordering.
