So if I get Battlefield 1...
It will be my first battlefield. I've watched some gameplay of it and it actually looks fun. Plus it's back in the world wars which is what I've been wanting someone to do again for a long time. I don't know everything about the game however and I also haven't played the beta. So my question is, is this game friendly to new Battlefield players? It's very different and I'm never really sure what exactly is going on from what I've seen but I'm sure I could learn. What do you guys think?

It is not really that easy to pick up and play for a new player(me at least). It took a around an hour or two to really get the hang of sniping. The gunplay is kinda awkward, but it is meant to be.

I didn't like it nearly as much as previous BF games. Not a bad game, but I'm no longer picking it up day one.

Best let the devs fix some major bugs before you spend money on the game, but it looks pretty good to me.

However the one thing that needs to return that was a mainstay of 3 and 4 is attachable explosives (C4 jeeps). I want to attach dynamite to a horse, run it into a tank and destroy it. Get it. It won't be a Bad Company 1/2 (Best battlefields I've played) but it looks like it will be good. I did not play the beta but I'll keep an eye on it and wait for reviews. [spoiler]BFs I've played: Bad Company 1, 2 and Battlefield 3[/spoiler]

5 RepliesNot a fan of FPS games myself so this is only going by what people I know have said. A lot of them are sticking with Battlefield 4, they tried the beta for 1 and they didn't enjoy it.

I would hold off for a bit, it's feeling like it's going to flop, I feel like battlefield 4 will still have a bigger playerbase
